I was watching the previous Livestream and I can say that it was pretty good. 

 

I don't know if you were reading questions from the chat or a selection you had previously to ask Hazel, but those were pretty good questions, you did a good job there and I learned a lot.

 

Looks like you are doing a good job at communicating players questions and concerns.

 

I hope you do more Livestreams with Hazel from time to time.

PS: Since fewer people will be watching Livestreams I think Livestreams should be treated like v-logs, meaning they should have a number and when archived they should have its own place for easy findings.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I mostly replied to the major questions that came up in the official forum thread, but then I spent some time picking up random questions from the Youtube chat (as well as some funny remarks).

 

I'll admit I had a good time, even though it was a bit stressful. There was a lot to juggle, which is why I totally forgot to set in-game announcements. But I'll fix that for next time.

Can you please make smoky stronger, or even nerf ricochet, it's too op. I shoot a ricochet first during a battle, with m3 smoky with 6 mu's and m3 Viking, yet it's still able to kill me!

If it's @kukii, ket him/her speak out. The issue is none of your concern.

It is also my problem. Our clan tag is dodnp and another clan can use our tag [MOD] which standed for Merchants Of Death.
Kukii contacted tech and probably tech didnt wanted to do their job (Including you) and took the easiest path-Block the owner so he cannot ask for clan tag change. Basically... Easy way to get money. Get people to pay for something and then take it from people who paid for something. If they want to get what they paid for before, they must pay once more and hope they dont get scammed. If buyer gets scammed, he cant ask for fix else he may get blocked.

S...smoky stronger? Smoky m3 kill wasp m3 in 3.2 seconds. (3 shots) while magnum cant even kill wasp m3 in 1 hit and must reload for 5.5 seconds.

Well I have computer programming experience going back to mainframe days 40 years ago. I have made entire agencies operate, installed their network and wrote all their software. Tell me again how Hazel has a reason to be obnoxiously arrogant?

Just felt like pointing out this glitch so people know it's there - had to buy a PRO Pass twice since I never got it the first time yet still had to pay for the first time. Wasted 10K on it. I've heard from a few people that you receive your 5K back after server restart.

Our devs are constantly monitoring equipment to see what balance changes need to be made.

Actually, competence and arrogance have nothing to do with each other. And we're not talking about arrogance here. We're talking about you making claims about something and not having the expertise to back them up. Mainframes and networks have nothing to do with MMOs and dealing with hackers.

 

I used to program in Basic on my Atari 130XE. I did some pretty impressive stuff with it too. I even programmed a game. Does that make me qualified to dispense advice to a game developer with many years of experience? Definitely no.

This ignore option isnt solution. Just finish battle where I was, and one player cursed my mother a half-hour. I said nothing. And after battle when  I'm wanted to report him .... surprise. This is worse than any update so far. Now every player to exploit this because he knows that he can not be ban.

As I have already written this ignore option ( block function ) isnt solution for this problem. After this battle the same player will continue to offend people when he was losing the battle, because he knows it very difficult to be punished. When they see other players that almost can not be punished anymore for swering in battle chat, everyone will start doing it. How russian forum yet have  chat violations section on forum and we dont have anymore ? Well I certainly will not be used this " block function " but I'm going to every provocation reply with same. 

 

However, when they all players start doing this, you will see in what will turn battle chat.

Instead of involving yourself in a verbal fight simply block them and you won't see them again - it's like a permaban. The other in-game options you can use to protect yourself are to enable private messages from friends only and to disable chat completely - it's not necessary in the battle nor it will affect your gameplay in any way. 

Players always swore and all the bans in the past 7 years didn't manage to change that. It's not them that we should change - the society and their environment are responsible for that - it's us and our perception of what you want to have in this game. And what you want is someone not to bother you while you're trying to play and enjoy, right? Then simply block them and continue enjoying the game :)

The other in-game options you can use to protect yourself are to enable private messages from friends only and to disable chat completely - it's not necessary in the battle nor it will affect your gameplay in any way.

Not true that ban players does not help. I have in my Tanki career two ban on chat. The first was a month and second two mounth. After this second ban I learned a lesson. My friend have a ban six mounth on a chat, and after that no more insulting player from him. Perhaps out of fear that the next ban be forever. If I speak frankly, I do not mind insults and bad language in game.

 

Specifically in this my case bothers me because I have not answered this little brat, that was cursed my family , because I wanted to report him. Next time will not repeat that mistake.  :)  If developers wont such conversations on chat, is fine with me.

Then what was the purpose of removing /vote? (Last time used it and it showed chat commnd failed error) I know it was unuseful feature but still. If we are 4 people in map and someone is parkour killer i can no longer /vote him to get 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance of mod actualy joining the battle.

Interesting - so the only thing that prevented you from answering "little brat" is that you were afraid that you'd also be banned if you reported  :D Now that reports are no more, you believe you should behave however you want. As you can see, the reports are not the problem, the perception of players is. Instead of being a better person and gracefully ignoring someone thus making Tanki a better place, you'll insult back and make the situation so much worse, not just for you but for everyone else who will have to block multiple offenders (you included!) to have some peace and quiet around... Not to mention that you still can be banned if a moderator chose to check that battle or your chat history.

Vote option has nothing to do with insults, it's made for reporting game violations such as sabotages and hacks which can be monitored for a longer period of time. That's why Battle moderators are answering such calls. The point of chat mod was never to be a ban machine but a helper to players. Which they are. Chat mods can never be available for 24/7, they are real people with real lives; what they can do is to actively teach players how to protecting themselves when mods are not around by giving them the best possible options and advices - putting bothersome players on Ignore list is one of the best ingame options there is. 

 

Those who perceive chat mods as a tool that is supposed to run around and ban people never actually understood their real role in this game nor their true nature and will never be able to become the part of the team.

Are you serious? I'm really sorry to say that but I stay on the chat like all day and there are no chat mods who help players. They are there banning players but not helping.
