Today I watched in developers diary ( version v-log in Tanki X ) about machtmaking system in Tanki X, and one thing stuck to my eye, " In Tanki X when it comes matchmaking system, you'll have the option to create custom battle ( In the future in Tanki online PRO battles it will be called custom ) but what is the most interesting thing, when you play custom battle you will not earn any experience or rewards.

 

I hope this will not happen in Tanki online when it comes matchmaking system. Probably this custom battle in Tanki X will be more similar to parkour mode in Tanki online then today version of PRO battles in TO. 

 

I hope I'm right about it, or otherwise such a update it would be a big blow for the players in TO.

Just to clarify, that post was written by a reporter, and like he said, it was purely speculation. There's no official information on something like this being implemented in Tanki Online whatsoever, nor was it ever hinted at. So before anyone starts worrying about that, let's wait till the devs can give us some more details about the upcoming matchmaking system in TO.

Stay out of... ?  "Custom battles"?  Where we can play without supplies?    No thanks.  If only option becomes play normal-battle-drug-wars or custom with no experience I'm done.

 

Sure Legends (or anyone with full garage) might not care - they can play in mode they like while using upgraded equipment.

 

But if I want to play that mode, but won't improve... adios muchachos.

Indeed, whether it was a moderator or a reporter who said it is irrelevant to the possibility of a given update. However, I wanted to point out that the two helper positions are quite different from each other, and preferably shouldn't be mixed up to prevent any confusion.

 

How he knows? He didn't, he speculated about something in Tanki and it coincidentally got implemented in another game. 

Out of the many speculations flying around here, some are bound to come true at some point.

It sounds like this might be the way tanki is going seeing most of tanki X stuff is all ready slated for the near future , will see when this happens and hope they give us a option to choose to play or not

I'll discuss this with my forum admin and esports admin. My main concern is that players might be accidentally misled into thinking that it's an official thing, as opposed to being a player-organized thing.

I have asked this dozens of times and tanki does nothing and cares nothing but I am going to ask again.

 

1. There are very few CTF battles in the non-pro area - lots of CP's, DM's, TDM,s

 

2 Whoever picks the maps post the same ones every day. Where is Rio CTF, where is Noise CTF, among others. AND WHY, WHY, WHY when you have been asked won't you put some decent games in there. Why do we have Osa cp, Skylark cp, and Siege cp EVERY DAY. WHY?

 

#. Could tanki not do something for the players once?

1. If you want to play CTF in non-PRO battles, all you need to do is switch off all the non-CTF filters on the battle window, and then click "Battle". This will take you to an existing CTF battle that fits your level, or create one for you if there are none available. If you're not seeing any CTF battle in non-PRO mode, it simply means that players aren't asking to play them.
2. For now, the map selection will remain as it is. We might add more maps eventually, but that depends on a number of factors that I'm not at liberty to discuss right now.

As people continue to leave tanki by the 100's, non-pro games are getting very hard to find. Even at the absolute peak times there are very few. I suggest we be allowed to make non-pro battles so that we can at least make battles that are of some interest to the players instead of another Molotov or Osa CP. No response from you whatsoever on making games that the players are interested in playing.

As I've already said many times, there are currently no plans to allow the creation of non-pro battles. And yes, I am answering your questions. I'm just not at your immediate disposal because I happen to have many other duties besides answering questions here.

Tanki X and Tanki Online are taking two very radically different paths, and this is something that is becoming more and more evident with every passing month. We're seeing equipment released in one game, which is not being released in the other, and vice versa. Same goes for functionalities and gameplay. And the games will become even more distinct as time goes by.

 

Honestly, ignore what you see in Tanki X, because it's highly unlikely that you'll be seeing it in Tanki Online, and vice versa.

I refer to the waning issued (22/06/17) following my totally unreasonable request for an explanation of why several of my posts that were unjustifiably critical of the perfection that is Tanki Online had mysteriously disappeared.

 

I am totally to blame for not realising that they had in fact been taken by anti TO dissidents or possibly had been abducted by aliens.

 

I now stand corrected and cannot thank the TO management enough for pointing out the error of my ways and enlightening me .

Forum for me is a bit off - not sure why but usually I jump straight to where I left off reading a thread - today I land on the first post and have to scroll to the end or to wherever I was reading it. Weird but not a big deal.

 

Unrelated note - after a month of Premium I'm back to being a basic member. Stuck in standard battles. I decided to play for a day in standard battles to see what they're really like. (I usually do missions then go pro).

 

Cedric, standard battles are awful. It's not just drugging but the fact that by consequence of supply usage the game balance is very different. Isida for example is not an outstanding threat in no supply battles but becomes unstoppable on supplies, especially when they travel in packs of 2-4 healing each other. An Isida should not have enough ammo to fully heal a team mate then completely drain an enemy. Supplies make this possible. Perhaps Isida should not be able to heal other Isidas?

 

Hammer is the other big problem in standard battles. Look at any death match and chances are a Hammer-Viking is in first place. On supplies it kills quickly, often with one shot - and with armor supplies can last long enough to reload a full clip. Big trouble and again something that does not exist in PRO no-supply battles.

 

Most other turrets IMO suffer in supply battles. Their damage output is effectively halved by enemy double armor yet don't get as much benefit from supplies themselves. Rico, Thunder, Rail, Smoky, and perhaps others are much less useful when dealing with enemies who just laugh off your damage with a repair kit. I could go on but my point is that doubling armor and damage on both sides just throws the balance out of whack resulting in a few overpowered turrets and several underperforming ones. You can't fix this with a rebalance because no supply battles would be impacted.

 

My vote is to remove supplies completely from the game. Given that most PRO battles are no supply, by player choice, my guess is that I'm not alone.

 

One final data point - about my experience today. With Premium in PRO battles, I can earn about 25k crystals in about six hours of play. Today in standard battles I barely earned 3k. Even discounting the premium bonuses and double crystal rewards, standard battles just do not reward for all the required supply usage. And they just aren't fun.

Due to the massive amount of fake teammates joining the standard battles as well as some hacking going on at times (though far more of the former, including sometimes over 95% of a team being fake players put there by the opposing team's players, which prevents genuine players from joining), there is an even greater need to have supplies and to increase their potency!!!
