Hah. What excatly? Having m3 smoky and still dreaming about thunder m0? How good looked the tanks and projectiles looked differently for all turrets based on modification, except freeze? When thunder really was horrifying with its big blasts, which now look like small "puff" with no damage? How rails were able to flip tanks? How noone knew where gold will drop? Random supply drops, No p2w? What excatly players would dislike in that version except sharp prop textures? I dont know. Yes, there was more hacks, but now lets talk about your gameplay, not what others do in their game. I think old tanki beats new tanki in almost everything gameplay releated. Psyhics were much better.

Ahh yes...the Great Rebalance.  Personally, I actually liked the Great Rebalance for bringing my favorite turret (Smoky) back to relevance. 

 

 

 

Fight me, Thunder fans, Rail fans, etc. Yes, some people preferred the Pre-Rebalance TO when Rico, Freeze, and Thunder were THE Tier 2 guns to use in higher ranks.  

 

By contrast, though, weapons like Firebird, Twins, Smoky, and Rail were only Tier 1 guns that would become obsolete the higher one's rank was. While we can debate about an equipment's obsolescence, I was reluctant to forever forfeit my Smoky just because the system had determined M3 Smoky to be obsolete in the ranks of M1 and higher Tier 2 guns.  It was my fortune, then, that the Rebalance was released just before I settled on a Tier 2 weapon.

 

Furthermore, knowing how popular Rail has always been, I'm certain some Rail players did at least appreciate Rail's big buff in the Rebalance, alongside buffs to Twins, Isida, Firebird, and Smoky.  Yes, the system became more complicated, but at least we have more turrets we can pick as our main weapons.  

 

 

However, that's not to say TO nailed every update perfectly.  I remember last October, when TO first implemented Premium Accounts and their precious EXP and crystal boosts AND a Premium Paint that used to grant 15% protection against every gun and mine (yes they removed it eventually, but regardless). While seemingly a fascinating thing to purchase, there is no doubt of the impact of Premium Accounts while it was said that TO was carefully threading the line between F2P and P2W, the fact that TO removed the Score Multiplier Passes (because they were "unpopular") in order to promote Premium has shifted TO towards a harrowing path that has made TO more buyer-friendly.

 

Then the Modules Update.  While it brought viable protection combos to greater relevance (i.e. M3 Lion T-A's 35% default protection from the same turrets Roger protects from), it has unfortunately molded the metagame significantly, with these new modules keeping Thunders, Rails, Smokies, etc. more frequently in check (I do wish there was at least one more T-module that protects against Magnum and Thunder).  Of course, buyers will have an easier time getting 3 or more M3 Triple Modules.  While having multiple M3 Triple modules won't always win a battle, it'll surely give a sizeable advantage.  

 

In short, while free players always have less available to them than buying players, there should be enough incentives for free players to keep coming and at least have a blast fairly often.  Certainly, the two updates I mentioned hardly incentivize free players enough.

Tanki is dying. Even Cedric knows. Even devs know. They don't listen to our complaints becuase they are sure that even if they improve the game, it will still die

And you just completely ignored all that Cedric wrote just a few posts above yours..;p

I still stand by my statement. But I respect your opinion.

But i asked you, what would players hate in old tanki. GTanks became really popular in short time, why dont you let these guys to do their stuff? I know it breaks copyrights, but cant you let him make it? It was great and does no harm to current tanki online.

Yes, players complain. Doesn't mean the solutions they propose are the right thing to do. If your arm is hurting and you go to the doctor, you don't just tell the doctor to amputate your arm. He's the expert, not you. You put forward your complaint, and then you allow the doctor to do his thing.

If my arm is a game and devs are doctor..

I go to the doctor, he puts some stuff on my arm which i DONT WANT to, he MUST remove it, or make me to change my mind.

I just say that i dont like it and doctor removes it or improves it so i like it. 

So why dont you do like doctor should do with updates?

Tanki can survive a bit longer by listening to players and taking off p2w aspect of the game.

Game should relay on players skill, not their mothers wallet, which is not the case here. Next time balancing something, dont change the game completely, change stuff by few %, not like you currently do. Completely make thunder and rail useless, give buyers at lieuteant general permanent double armour (50% module) and m4 gear, kits aviable ONLY to buyers etc. If thats what hazel told in one of the livestreams, that TankiX doesnt make enought money and TankiOnline is the only source of income and without it AE will fall, you should start searching for new job.

I was very, very unhappy with what the last rebalance did to my rail-wasp.. and I asked for the same thing as you:

pls refrain from large balance changes, keep the main characteristics of turrets and hulls (because that is why we love them) and tweak just a few percent, but more often.

 

I got the answer, that this is what they plan.. and it really happened afterwards. Some things got changed massively (like Isida), but the most other things were just small changes, that allowed their users to accommodate fairly quickly (Fire, Freeze, Fire again, Twins, Hammer, ...).

Well I am still not happy with my now rather lame duck - aehm, Wasp - but I really like that they keep to that "small changes + more often" paradigm regarding balance changes.

 

 

For your other point (skills -vs- wallet):

I had the same opinon.. and then I thought, why should the game favour skills over all - and so lock out 50% of it's clients that can not take the time to train their 3rd person view aiming skills and timings to the max?

Drugs are a different story (as also skilled players canmake deadly use of overpowered supplies), but what this game lacks is a matchmaking that matches players according to their skill ( = talent, passion, hard work) - and not according to their rank ( = just a lot of ingame time).

 

I proposed such a system already twice, and one time Hazel came by the post and told, that such a thing is actually planned.

Well.. I guess there will be a lot of Water going down the river until we have it (other tasks have a higher prio at the moment), but it tells me that the lead desiner is aware of this issue and plans to go to the right direction.

 

Sounds good to me.. but maybe I am just a bit more patient.

Wasp m3 is slower and weaker than drugging viking/hunter m3, but almost as fast (Or a bit slower, idk) than dictatir, so i think light hulls are underpowered.

true, they are UP on most maps.. but I think this was on purpose to make the players use more nitros (the least used drug now makes more sense).

But even more then the cut in top speed, it hurts to loose the agility (turning acceleration). You can not dodge as good as necessary.. which would be especially needed since the speed was cut.

I curious though how they are going to measure and grade players "skill".

 

And...

 

Will it be a combination of M-lvl + skill?   One might be an awesomely skilled but... an M1 vs M3 still would be too much of a handicap to overcome.

Hazel has already mentioned something about giving each hull its own unique "flavor". I doubt it will be in the form that you're suggesting, at least not at this point. As for the future, who knows!  :)

I'm really not worried. Once the game is at the point where we want it to be, we can restart our acquisition campaigns. What's important is that community engagement has been increasing.

This is encouraging to hear. I don't give a fig for the 'server graph shows players leaving' as long as I can find battles to join. But I'm glad there are plans to increase the number of players in the game. More battles = more fun.

 

Adding in another plug to reduce the effectiveness of supplies. :D

 

I love the work you are doing with players. The live streams, this thread, are just examples of the value you've brought to the position. The proof is in the pudding when you're asked to help resolve an issue with another CM.

Almost completely eliminate hacking and sabotage/multing, then and only then will I approve of reducing supplies...

Who needs your approval for reducing power of supplies?

Canada -  that would be good if the hackers etc didn't also get benefits from increased supply effectiveness.

 

So what you are actually saying is "give ME  better supplies"

When the Mobile Version of this game will be released, will there be a way to hide commands? With ios11 coming out, there will be a recording button; I am just wondering if I will be able to record footage just like on PC.

LOL! oke. Cheating will be drastically reduced when html5 tanki comes out because all cheats are meant to use on flash tanki. New code language - cheating are useless. And hacking means... Coding, getting stuff using illegal methods, what kids in tanki dont do. Tanki has cheats, not hacks. Learn the damn difference! And if we now talk about general tanki cheating.. You play STG with friends and one of them blows up mines by "accident" which is cheating, You play XP/BP and SD in base all the time, which is cheating, you push/shoot people off the buildings in parkour mode, which is cheating... I dont think i need to continue listing the stuff what kind of cheating increases in tanki when en and ru servers got merged. And... Yes, this is not REALLY a cheating, but...

Paying to get unfair advantage ower other players is cheating. Those "hacks" gives you small/no advantage, while drugs give you insane advantage.
