The bill of each friend became 24 cents.

So,the total bill became 24+24+24=72 cents .

These three friends paid 75 cents to the waitor.

Waitor gave these 75 cents to Manager.

Manager  kept 70 cents of them and gave 5 cents to waitor.

Manager said waitor to return three cents to these friends and to keep 2 cents in his pocket (as a tip).

Waitor returned the three cents to these three friends.

In this way,now these three friends have paid 24+24+24=72 cents.

Waitor has 2 cents.

 

But,72+2=74 cents.

Where is 1 cent????

Manager has 70 cents

Each friend has 1 cent

Waiter has 2 cents

 

70+(1*3)+2=75
