Hey,

 

I think we all agree that a battle with friends in Tanki Online can be a really good time.

 

BUT... life happens. Some of you have exams, others have work, and probably all of us have our fair share of problems and challenges (some bigger than others) to deal with on a daily basis.

 

So I figured I'd create this thread with some cool resources that have helped ME personally over the past years with challenges I have faced, or with aspects of my life that I wanted to improve.

 

Some of these resources will be YouTube videos. Others will be books or even research papers. Of course, all of it will be material appropriate for all ages, even though some of it might be a little bit difficult to consume for younger people.

 

The first thing I wanna post is something that helped me immensely when I was going through a phase of devouring research material. It's a lecture about how to study better. Here's the description from the YouTube video for your information:

Here are some tips that I've heard personally heard .. Might help :)

 

• There are a lot of cases where one had to remember many topics .. For this.. I've heard about the " Alpha Technique " 

This Technique has three stages .. Alpha, Beta and Gamma .. Lets say we have a topic .. We have to break it into Parts and Segments ..

Lets say we break it into 5 Parts - each part contains 5 segments ..

Now ,

We all start with the Basic stage of reading ..

1. If we have a distraction and we are distracted to it - Alpha.
2. If we are not distracted but we feel uncomfortable and stop with some segments - Beta.
3. Out of 5 Parts .. If we at least complete one part full without caring about anything -Gamma.

Reaching the Gamma stage continuously for a few days .. will help a lot ..

• Creating a Study timing each day trains our brain and makes us automatically to study on that particular time .. 

This works as we are hungry on a specific time each day just as we are trained as that ..

• Also .. I Follow the first technique he introduced into the lecture .. Breaking into small pieces helps a lot than cram study ..
• At times where we are depressed .. use " Burn "

 

 

This technique is simple .. Take a piece of paper .. write down what makes you fearing or what you fear about .. Tear it into small pieces .. and Burn !! 

This is very effective and good and very useful ..

 

 

• There are also a lot of cases which has technique called "Magic Liquid"

 

 

This is as simple as any of the above .. Before you study Take a glass of water or juice .. paste a piece of paper saying "Magic Drink"

 

Then .. keep it away from your sight for 5-10 minutes . Then start studying .. when you feel dehydrated .. Just pretend that drinking this magic liquid will boost your power and you can study well .. Its all belief and consciousness ..

 

 

Finally , This is the foremost and mandatory technique to follow while studying ,

 

Don't stay near social electronic gadgets like TV , PC , mobile , etc ..

 

These are some that I had in mind ... Hope these helped :D

From my own experience of studying and studying with friends, was very easy to observe the following :
 

Study to remember = You're doom to forget !

 

Study to understand = Much better chances of not forgetting when it matters. 

 

*If you're a uni engineering student don't bother with all the above, you're still gonna be starting when there's less than 48 hours left!

I get that the quote isn't telling me any specific time i should study, but telling me to study better.

That was just my lazy way of saying that i wasn't looking for studying related things here, and that type of typical slogan got me unintrested.

Maybe i'll still watch the video when im on the mood for studies... but that's usually not what i look for on tanki forums :P
