Hey Cedric, I'm just writing to say! That you are a good guy! And so far you are doing a 'Great' Job as being the NEW English Community Manager.

I'm 100% Sure you are doing great and you always will do. I do miss Semyon, What about you? Have you heard any News from him after he left?

I do have Exams soon and I think the Video is very Interesting!

Thank you very Much Cedric!

Have a Nice Day!

Try to Reply back :P

Regards,

~ iMoneyMaker

Thanks. I've spoken to Semyon a couple of times but that's all.

You just want him to quote your post..... -_-

Don't deny it......I know.....

I NO... DAT NINJA SKILLZZ

but that's usually not what i look for on tanki forums :P

That's probably why I chose to put it in the off-topic section. Then again it could've been the little green men...

On second thoughts, no, I'm pretty sure it's the first reason  ;)

Are you SURE sure, i've seen many things done by cms, but this is the 1st time i've seen 1 of them posting stuff off-topic.

The little green men don't seem that far-fetched.

The video explains methods to be able to remember more of what you study.

Well, remembering stuff is not much difficult for me... The problem is keeping that focus for 15+ hours. I can manage upto 12 hours max... Not more than that.

From my own experience of studying and studying with friends, was very easy to observe the following :

Study to remember = You're doom to forget !

Study to understand = Much better chances of not forgetting when it matters.

*If you're a uni engineering student don't bother with all the above, you're still gonna be starting when there's less than 48 hours left!

This is a very good point. Memorising something is one thing, but being able to learn something, and then read around it in order to understand how it works fully is a lot better. You know you're doing well when you're able to explain the topic to somebody else, in a way that they are able to understand.

This topic is actually really nice...

Thanks for the topic Cedric – I'd never expect a CM of a game to even think of oppening a topic to discuss perhaps taking a brake from TO to go study, and sort out your life.

It's interesting, I actually enjoyed what I could watch of the video. I think I naturally tend to study for 30 minutes at a time with 5-10 minute breaks in between, I probably study for a total of 6 hours a day.

Still watching.

Hey all,

I'm really happy to see that at least a few of you found the video helpful. Time to share something else.

This time it's a book. And before you roll your eyes and give me the "I'm forced to read enough books at school already" look, let me just say that this is quite possibly one of the coolest books about life that you'll ever have the fortune of reading.

It's called:

An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth: What Going to Space Taught Me About Ingenuity, Determination, and Being Prepared for Anything (Disclaimer: This is an Amazon.com link but it is NOT an affiliate link)

511UE0Uq4KL.jpg

The book was written by Chris Hadfield, an astronaut. He came from very humble beginnings, and in this book he tells the story of how the decisions he made, even as a kid, led him to achieve his dream of becoming an astronaut and going to space 3 times.

He talks about how preparation in every detail helped him to not panic when he nearly wen blind during a spacewalk. He also talks about how watching the first moon landing on TV as a little boy, planted inside him the dream to become an astronaut, even though Canada did NOT have a space program at the time.

There's everything in this book — from breathtaking adventures, to exciting trivia about space exploration, to funny anecdotes about how astronauts deal with clogged toilets in space, to very important life lessons that you will carry with you EVERYWHERE throughout your entire life.

I have loved every single page of this book, from start to finish, and it has probably taught me more about myself than any collection of books all together.

Do yourself a huge favour and read it, even if you only manage to read 2 pages per day. Trust me, you don't want to miss this one  :)
