Taking into account the physical properties of the turret

Recommended Posts

I really hope I am doing this right based upon the new process...

Okay, so here is my idea and suggestion.  One of the most nerve racking things about tanki is ending up tracks up.  Not really the best position for a tank.  The most glaring issue is the fact that the turret just seems to just vanish from existence.  I.E. the tank lays flat on it's back.  It would be really nice if it were possible for the Tanki program to take into account the physical properties of the turret, barrel and all other aspects of the turret.  This way the turret/barrel could be used as a melee weapon, a prod, so many other uses.  Also, it would force tankers to take into account their barrel when, say, sniping.  Rather than just hiding close up to the wall with the barrel pointed down range they will either have to back up from the wall or adjust their aim as they come out of cover.

I have other suggestions:

I would like to see a destroyed/wrecked paint option.  Similar to the skin that is used after a tank has been destroyed or self destructed.  This skin could negatively affect the tanker's armor protection provided by their hull.  But, it would have one heck of a devastating camouflage effect on the battlefield.

One last suggestion and I will shut up, for now at least, mines.  I would like to see mines remain on the battlefield in a team setting after the person who placed it dies.  The only caveat being.  Rather than being red or blue and not deadly to their team.  I would like to see them turn to green and be deadly to both sides.  The person who placed them gets the credit for the kill or deducted for the kill of a teammate.

Oh oh, one more thing... I would like to see an option in the design of a battlefield where there is a friendly fire option.  This would make players shots lethal to their own teammates.  Maybe this will teach some players to practice fire discipline.

Okay I will shut up now.  Thanks for you time and attention.

Umm i didnt understood something abouth paints. like i was thinkinking about adding more destroyed paint for each paint in game right now. Like there is paint pixel, if you die, your tank is using pixelDead paint or something. Soo that just messed with my mind a bit.

But i like first idea. I was thinking about it ALOT.

Also placed mines shouldnt disapear.

^ Tanki logic. Mines shouldn't disappear until they are blown. So if we die, our placed mines should be there.

Of course it doesn't make sense, but this was done from a game balance perspective. When mines were first introduced and didn't disappear, battles were ruined due to mines being hidden all over the place by players at some point in the game and it was extremely annoying. So developers added this limitation.

Good point. I personelly never thought about how it would effect battles since there arnt too many miners at ranks like mine..and i actually was gonna make a topic for that idea if i didnd find one already.

I love the idea of a paint that makes you look like your destroyed :!D

Maybe there should b an option in the garage to buy a a negative version of a paint so that if a paint has 30% firebird protection and you buy the negative, then the paint would have -30% fire protection. Of course, tjere would be problems with that where high ranks would use things like un upgraded Marine in a long range battle... But there should also be something where you can only use negative versions of paints that work well at your rank. That may be hard to do for the devs, but it would possibley be pretty awesome :D

Also, when i opened this topic i was thinking that the idea woukd be that the length of a turret would effect how accurate it was or something, and also about how the turret would actually hit the wall when you are next to it instead of passing right through

I was thinking of this not very long ago . I think it would be very good to have and would be amazing camo for Shafters who are just sitting there

Under review

Friendly-fire option was disabled by the developers due to its abuse.

I can understand the concern regarding abuse.  However, there are going to be trolls.  They will find ways to make their teammates have an exceptionally bad day.  They accomplish this by flipping, pinning, bumping and just being an overall general nuisance.  Make friendly fire carry the same penalty as self destruct costing the tanker a kill and a life.  Maybe the result would be tankers practicing fire discipline.

Okay so how about this mines lethal to both teams and a 30 second time limit on placed mines following the miner's death.
