Anyone sick and tired of players pretending to be moderators?

They get their application declined because they're 9 years old, but that won't stop them it seems.

Here's your average example.

The best part is, the moderators applaud players for trying to be them upon locking a topic instead of moderating them.

Someone needs to re-define several words to the team, such as 'flood,' 'trolling,' and 'impersonation' because it doesn't look like they get it.

I like to help, and what's wrong with it? I'm just helping tankers in this forum in many things and a lot of them appreciate it. Also, stop saying that they are 9 years old cause you don't really know their age or if they applied or no.

Thanks to the players who post helpful advice in topics and answer questions, which have been answered many times before, we don't actually need to waste time writing the same answer and posting the same links over and over. This helps us spend more time concentrating on more serious issues such as forum violations or more difficult topics which require more complex answers. I can't help but feel relieved when I go into yet another topic with some obvious question thinking "ugh, I have to dig up the same old reply and post it for the 100th time" and in the topic I find that one of the players has already answered for me. Feels nice to have people helping other players and us, mods.

As for the "impersonation" bit you mentioned, yes - we still don't allow players to pretend being mods, but helping others and answering questions does not fall under impersonation. There's a clear line between helping and pretending to be a mod, so for example posting things like "Topic closed" or "I'm a mod using an alt account" or "You will be banned for a day" are not allowed, while simply giving advice, answering questions and stating what someone shouldn't do on the forum is fine.

And I'm not sure how flood or trolling relates to this in any way at all. Looks like you're the one who needs to check the definitions for them :)

Topics about specific players are not allowed. If you think someone's post is violating Game Rules, please use the report option.
