Shaft-Users have no Skills.
I hate that people think that people who use Shaft have no skill. It is completely incorrect. In fact, I can somewhat agree with these people back when Shafts had no lasers, it provided no balance because the Shaft was much too OP. Without a laser, Shafts have countless obstacles. One is hiding their laser, so that people don't see it and run away. It's actually very difficult to hide your laser but still have enough time to hit your enemy. Another difficulty is choosing the right hull. I, personally, hate heavy hulls on Shaft, I feel like it takes too long to get to your position and doesn't allow you to take cover or run away from a quickly approaching enemy with drugs. Shaft users have to hide from enemies, stay stealthy, observe surroundings, etc. Some Shaft users are very good, others, not so much but Shaft does require quite a substantial amount of skill to be used effectively.

 

Highly disagree, it's still very easy to use...though it is hard to no-scope kill.

I keep getting hit by #5. Lieutenants+ see my rank, look at my garage, then immediately start chucking "N00B BUYER GET OUTTTT LOL U SUKKKK" at me. Of course, ignoring them is the best choice, but it's not really all that easy to do when they're targeting you only.

It's easier to use for some people than others. Rank up and use it against more skilled people than WO4s and you will see.

I was referring to the gameplay I currently deal with, sorry for not specifying.

It's easier to use for some people than others. Rank up and use it against more skilled people than WO4s and you will see.

 

 

Note: I am not stereotyping that all WO4s are noobs, though at this moment, it's kind of difficult to prove

 

 

If it really is more difficult later on, then I might buy it; but currently on my other account it is almost always too easy and I get bored.

So you don't get bored of m1 fire? That is what most of the noobs use in early ranks, not saying you are one, because it is cheap, and EASY to use. Although isida is quite good, if you would like a challenge, maybe try railgun, freeze or some other difficult turret to master/play with.

Oh trust me, I do get bored of M1 Fire, but it's almost like a rule to buy it since it's cheap and powerful and plus I only play on small maps anyway. Yes, it is noobish and I have been saving up for either Tornado kit or Stinger kit; whichever one is available during a sale will be the one I buy. I actually still use my rail even though it is M0 and I still rekt people with it, except when they drug of course.

I am a Shaft-ONLY user. I started with Thunder when I first played tanki, then the shaft came out. I didn't had enough crystals to buy back then, but i have read and saw their power. So, I saved up my crystals and bought the Shaft M0. I love it, and has played on Shaft+Viking ever since for almost 5 or 6 yrs now (on and off, i didnt play Tanki often back then). I absolutely DO NOT drug often, only pick-ups (check my profile for drugging, at my current rank i totally used damage 304, armor 273, speed 249, medic 102, mine 151).

 

Therefore, I have developed an unique set of Shaft skills. Im not here to argue, I'm just post a picture the battle glory of Me and My Shaft in recent DM Tournament to proof a real Shafter has tremendous skill set.  

 

About the Battle of the picture, 1st of all, It's a DM, so you cannot camp. You have to have skills. 2nd, its drug disabled DM, pick-up only for some reason LOL (i thought it was no pick-ups at all when i entered, oh well). I came out #2 in that battle, the 1st guy was 2 ranks higher than me with better Prodigi protection (LGC-58) than i have. I ONLY and ALWAYS have Lead paint (LGC-07) with shaft  protection of 23%.

 

Enjoy! and Please don't insult Shafters again. Shaft is a great Weapon requires unique skill set just like any other turrets. Shaft is not for Everyone, its built for the Elite. :P

I don't care how many upgrades you have or what turret or hull or how many drugs you have a Major is a one-shot kill for me. Unless you have spent thousands of dollars you just don't have  the necessary tools to fight Gismos. And even if you did spend thousands, you don't have the experience.

 

Shafters are cowards who need to get a gun, any gun and go fight the enemy instead of hiding. Shafts are always the first ones you kill in any map. I have no patience for them at all and do not want them on my team or in my game.

3. I was talking about Majors in XP Battles, not non-format battles.

4. I've seen Shafts single handedly obliterate teams. Shafts may not be as useful at higher ranks but Shafts that have stealth are fatal to enemy teams.

Shafts become slightly underpowered and underused once ranks progress. It's great at M0 where everything's a level playing field but later on it get less used ... meaning that the people who actually use it are generally very skilled.

I just hate when people join sandbox with shaft or when they snipe me from taking gold.

Not many people join Sand with Shaft ...

LOL I haven't been Shafted on a Gold since like ... WO something. :d
