Changing Tanki's Payed Model

Recommended Posts

So, a player plays years and takes part in eSports to get the Veteran paint. And you are saying a buyer could give a few hundred bucks, get a paint of 30% protection?!  No offense and all, but I think you need to be a much higher rank to understand this concept.

The 30% paint was just a suggestion, and obviously can be changed according to Tanki's needs.

The idea for an increase from the 15% Premium paint was mainly because a lot of players were upset that it was nerfed from 20%. Their reasoning? At ranks higher than that of Brigadier, the Premium Paint was vastly inferior to most other paints (some of which grant you upwards of 40% protection against certain weapons).

Again, it's not set in stone; just a suggestion.

If you're talking about fairness, then you need to have a kick system to remove multing noobs. The rest comes later. Even without OP kits, TO battles are being ruined right from the start.

I don't know what it is with buyers complaining about mults. I suppose there are more mults at your rank and I just haven't run into them right now, but for the majority of players (by that I mean "for the players below the rank of Major") mults aren't a massive problem.

I do however condone the idea for player's moderation, such as AbsoluteZero's Kick2 program.

Also, we have a mode for "fairness", it's called XP/BP. Maybe if you're bored of normal matches, you could try that. (Even though, some people won't play fair there, too.)

I actually feel exactly opposite of what you described -- I'm tired of XP/BP (since the gameplay there is rather mundane), I want some fair normal matches. The problem is, Tanki hasn't been promoting PRO battles enough for there to be any non-XP/BP or non-parkour PRO matches available for any given rank.

Again, there's an organization called the Go-Pro club which I think very highly of, but it still takes a lot of time for this sort of thing to happen.

I'm sorry to say that your $500 wouldn't save your if you team members are noobs.  But it'll give you a chance to fight back.

Actually, you're wrong. A player who spends $500 on the game could easily dominate any given battlefield, regardless of team skill or composition.

Suppose a Warrant Officer 5 spent $500 on the game, and used the crystals they purchased to buy the "Boar" kit (Ricochet M2, Dictator M2, Sandstone Paint), fully micro-upgrade it, and also purchase several drug kits. Even overlooking the fact that the combination of Ricochet and Dictator is pretty awesome regardless of rank, having M3's at that rank is just insane (especially since you can challenge ranks as low as Sergeant Major). That's M3's vs M0's, and if you add drugs into the mix, you basically have an unstoppable killing machine.

Sure, your team might have three mults, but if you have a single tank that can take a massive amount of damage and easily project just as massive an amount, no matter how good your teamwork is, you're only a stroke of the 1 key away from oblivion.

(Also, I don't know if you realized this, but I didn't actually spend $500 on the game. Just wanted to clarify if you were confused.)

Skills to obtain a job will.

That's IRL, not in game.  Earning millions without buying is virtually impossible. Of course, you can do that over a large period of time, but if you need it instantly? Not possible.

Multing is a serious problem everywhere since everyone coud start infecting battles with their alt. accounts. Even in the lower ranks. This means, to win, druggers will have to cough up more drugs to win at lower ranks. I think if the multing problem is resolved, maybe people would use less drugs. Maybe.

As for the "Go-pro" club, after BW777 left, it seems activity has been grind into a standstill. It's not quite active as I thought. How can they promote the club when they drive off potential new members?

most of the members in this club join every club in this section if the forum but never come to any of the clubs' trainings

I would agree there that "normal" matches are increasingly hard to find... But what's your defination of "normal"?

That is only if the max limit is set at WO 5. Rico + Dic M3 is nothing compared to Altas + MInotaur kits fully MUed. Even so, when using this OP combination I do not win all the time. But that's another topic. Nevertheless I see your point.

Having mults mean you have people short in your team and like I said earlier, the only way to counter is by using drugs. But if the enemy is well coordinated, they would change to desert or spark to counter your Boar kit combo and make life difficult for you.  This is another problem of TO allowing random people vs coordinated friends/clan/whatever.

Yes but I'm a WO1 and I have Fighter not because I paid any money because I was smart enough not to spend all my crystals micro-upgrading M0s or buying useless paints

I have ~22k crystals right now and I didn't pay for any of it. If you're a smart player and start saving for kits before the unlock rank, you can get kits and gain an advantage in battle. It's not just the buyers who gain an advantage from kits.

I'm not saying buyers don't have an advantage, that's the point of buying. I'm saying that it is entirely possible to counter the advantage they have by smart planning and skill.

Many free players or people who have only bought a few dollars worth of crystals can do well in the game, but it requires strategy and thinking ahead.

Or maybe I'm wrong and I'm only thinking this way because I'm a noob and I haven't encountered any full time buyers and later on when I gain more experience I'll change my noobish ways and start complaining about how overpowered buyers and people who plan ahead are. I really don't know

+1. I am not buyer and I got Striker M1 at Sargeant-Major, and I am about to get firebird and wasp M1 at Staff Sargeant on alt acc.
