Timed missions

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hello!

So this idea is simple. A timed mission is basically like a mission that gives a certain time period to do. So example: My mission is "Destroy 40 Tanks in 15 minutes". Well for this mission, there should be an option on when to start the mission. Once you click the start button, the mission timer will start. YOU CANNOT PAUSE THE MISSION. Once it starts, it starts. If you fail the mission, there should be a notification saying that you failed or whatever. If you complete it, then it would be normal after.

But I think these missions should be challenging. But since they're challenging, the reward should be greater.

Let me know what you think! Sorry if this has been mentioned before.

This is actually an interesting idea. Except for the bit with failing. I think the mission should just stay there until you complete it. So instead of a specific start/stop timer, there would always be a timer that keeps track of how quickly you are killing tanks and if at any point you manage to kill X amount of tanks in X minutes, the mission gets completed.

Oh I get you. That's also good.

Lol in my last idea, you had your own version in it and I liked it more than the original idea. Same here :p

Now that I'm thinking of it, wouldn't it be the same as normal missions? With the timer idea it will be more fun and intense in a way. The point of Timed Missions is to be fun and challenging.

What if you start the timer and your enemies decide to quit? Or you start lagging and end up having to quit? I'd hate to lose a mission over something stupid like that.

sort of the same with premium missions. Once you start it, it keeps going until it runs out.

Hmm didn't think of that. But then it probably wont be fun and challenging. Maybe if we add something that can make it fun. Idk what though...

Oh Mafioso, since the rewards for these kinds of missions will be greater, how about we do this:

(Example)

Mission: Kill 40 tanks in 15 minutes

Reward: 2,000 crystals

We can start whenever. Once we click the "Start" button, it will start. Each time we fail to complete the mission, we lose part of the reward. Like 10 crystals or something. The mission will still be there until we complete or until there is no reward.

Killing 40 tanks in 15 minutes is almost impossible unless you have a OP kit .well for most people this would be an impossible mission.but i now have 2 awesome OP ( for my rank ) Kits (Stinger and Voltage) and could get 40 kills with a little bit of effort and luck finding a lower ranked Kunger / Monte Carlo / PolygonbDM

My Addition to it is if you do it in the time frame you get an added bonus. But if you fail somehow, you get the normal reward.

How about witht the orignal idea in mind, let's say the prizes are different for the time you complete it. Say 15 min is 1k crystals vs 3 hrs is 100 crystals...I think that is maybe what u mean but idk. But I do like the timer idea plus ur idea

This whole timed thing could be added to an existing mission, like you pay a small amount to upgrade a current mission to a harder, timed mission, or both might come together, for example a 50 kill mission with a 25 kill timed mission on the side. You can still get the reward for the 50 kill mission if you never complete the timed one, or you could beat both for an extra reward.

Not really. I completed a 60 kill mission in about 15 minutes with Thunder/Hornet M3 in a DM. Although I did drug a little bit.

No, I think that if you FAIL the mission, it should just "restart". For example you kill 39 of 40 tanks in 15 minutes. Now, the mission restarts as if not a thing has happened. I'd like that. 3 normal missions and 1 speed mission.

This would only be a good example for turrets that require short loading times such as smokey, freeze, firebird, twins and etc. But what about shaft and railgun? They take longer times to reload, and as a longtime shaft user, I can tell you now the maximum tanks I have killed in one minute has been 5 and that was with the use of double damage and double armour. Furthermore, I did not 'camp' either, I was at a fair distance to make sure that I destroyed tanks as quickly as possible. This would theoretically mean that tankers who own a shaft or rail would have to use 100 CRY on average worth of supplies (if using purchased supplies instead of using the drop ones constantly) just to complete a mission which's prize is reliant on your rank...Say for me it would be 500-700 CRY.
