Banned players, does it really do anything?

 

in my opinion no, it doesn't. When someone is successfully reported for violating the game rules, it resulting is a banning, usually the term lasts somewhere between 1 to 7 days depending on the severity of the instance. It's basically a slap on the wrist.

 

What I'm suggesting is this: 

 

1st time you get banned = Banned for a day

2nd time you get banned = Banned for a week

3rd time you get banned = Banned for a month

4th time you get banned = Banned for 2 months

5th time you get banned = Banned for 6 months

6th time you get banned = Banned for a year

This kind of system is already in place. Once a player spends a certain amount of days with a ban, the next time they get banned for a minor offence, the ban will be an order higher compared to if the player did not have any prior violations. So for example instead of a typical day ban for swearing, they get a week ban. Or instead of a week ban for explicit language they get a month ban. This seems to be a fair and effective system, so the chat admins will not be changing it.
