Here is my entry regarding the mini contest: Product kit review is about Fortress kit (490 words):

Fortress Kit Xperience

Fortress_Kit_product_2.png

I bought the Fortress Kit (Mammoth + Thunder + Rustle) when my rank was first lieutenant and with a timely discount (25% savings on all turrets), which helped me to reach the precious amount of crystal required.

Being a fan of Thunder turret, this kit was the obvious choice for me as I was already battling with the Thunder M0 and M1 turrets. The massive Mammoth M2 hull was a new experience for me, as my current garage was filled with middle range hulls: Viking M0 and Hunter M1. I counted on the high health protection of this massive animal to last longer on the battlefield.

The protection against Isida and Freeze turrets is of real interest, as the mammoth slow motion make it an easy target for this two turrets, furthermore the 32% Thunder protection is a must have with such a deadly M2 splash damage.

Coloring_autumn.png The kit had the Rustle paint (protection and paint all–in-one):

  24px-Isida_mod.png  Isida 10%,

  24px-Thunder_mod.png  Thunder 32%

  24px-Freeze_mod.png  Freeze 20%

Protecting flag with Fortress kit was definitely paying off on Brest, Rio and Serpuhov maps. With double damage supplies (on Brest) and a double armor supplies (on Serpuhov) dropping times to times either to increase fire power or give extra protection and, combined with Isida patrols, Fortress could play a major defensive role. The heavy weight of the Mammoth makes it harder for attacking tank, with middle and small hulls, to dislodge you from your flag. Dying on the flag post buys time for your teammate to come and secure the unprotected flag.

On Highways map, the fortress kit standing as a stronghold on the flag was not good at all in such a small space, you end up basically inflicting self-damage to your hull any time you shoot at close range. A better defensive position is located on the slop of the middle bridge facing our flag. From this spot, the strategy is to thunder the flocks of enemy tanks venturing to our base and camping under the flag preparing an assault or clearing the bridges on the left and right sides.

This kit can play a middle-field support role too on small maps such as Highland and in TDM/CP mode. Standing behind the crack of a wall, on the hill top (blue team) or the CP point is a good deterrent to light hulls. The M2 power of the Thunder turret just reduces considerably the health of incoming tanks, and increase my Kill/Deaths ratio from 1.2 to 1.55.

Gold box, this kit is of no use for gold box quest, too slow, too low and it’s a perfect platform for other tank to climb on. However, I still managed to catch a Goldie.

Overall Fortress kit is average, however when you combine Mammoth with Shaft (+ Lead LGC module) you have a stronger proposition. As well the combo of Thunder with Hunter (+ Rustle LGC module) offers you a more versatile attacking proposal.

Zenith, you're smart and can answer my question.

Should I get vik m2 and save for raiden, or only save for raiden? My vik m1 is 20/50 and I have fire, thunder, hornet, and mammoth m2. I am worried that I will not do well with my viking m1 and useless hornet m2, but mammoth is good. What do you think?

Raiden. You can use Firebird-Hornet and Thunder-Mammoth for two ranks. :P

Vulcan? Bad? Vulcan is amazing-m0, m1, m2, m3 or m4, it can defeat almost anything one-on-one!

Indeed. My Vulcan M0 still strikes fear at this rank onto weaker tanks due to its devastating abilities.

Why is Vulcan so bad? I sense an anti Vulcan conspiracy...

It's to be noted that the rating is given for Vulcan M2, and not the turret's abilities as a whole.

Vulcan M2 is OP. With titan or mammoth m2 it is unstoppable. With double damage it can destroy a m1 hornet in a little over 1.5 seconds, an m1 viking in a little over 2, and an M2 mamoth in about 4. Vulcan is as good as the hull it goes with. The heavier the hull, the better it performs. M2 is unlocked at a low rank but is still good for many above it. In my alt account, with vulcan m2 titan m2 I finished a dm 15 minutes with over 80 kills and less than 20 deaths in madness map. I didn't even drug. Vulcan is sooo op.

Vulcan is dominating but I disagree that it performs best with heavy hulls. Like most turrets, Vulcan too works best with medium hulls like Hunter or Viking, or maybe Dico. But hey, Vulcan is pro!

It was a deadly combat , an 8 vs 8 polygon CP battle when I ranked up to first lieutenant and bought Minotaur kit right during the battle as I had planned for it since WO4. Here are 2 reasons why you should buy Minotaur kit:
1) Twins is the second last M2 turret to be unlocked and the most expensive M2 turret there is yet, therefore it is more powerful than one may expect.
2) Viking m2 is also one of the late unlocking m2 hulls so, it is also very good.
As described above, I had planned ahead to get this kit so, I started saving for it since, I was at WO4 rank. I used viking m1 and twins until I reached First Lieutenant rank and bought this kit. It was 3 days later than protection module were introduced. Initially it did not contain any protection module so, its price was reduced to about 168k crystals.
It was my first kit and it really made me happy. I got my hand at really powerful combo at early ranks. I have been causing alot of destruction in combat arenas. I played some battle of really high rank limit and it was good to see that some tankers were using this kit even at that rank. Now I will keep using it until I get paladin kit. I already have saved 322k crystals without purchasing crystals.
The most powerful feature of this combo is this that I can steal a lot of kills. Armor to speed ratio of viking is also really good. It helps to remain at the tail of naughty wasps and to sneak away when things go bad. Some tankers think that it would have better if it contained Dictator m2. But, they do not realize that Viking m2 can push Dictator m2 easily.
This combo is really useful in CP mode in keeping the point clear. This combo is very versatile. Awesome in DM, all-rounder in CTF, killing machine at medium-close range combat. I bought this kit without protection nodule so I won't be reviewing it. I will strongly recommend this kit to everyone who likes dynamic role. If you like killing sprees, you are gonna love it.

If you love to pile up destroyed tank, then this kit is for you.

With this kit, earning high experience in a battle is nothing new. Here is a screenshot of 60 min Polygon CP battle. I and rugbyfreak1 both used minotaur kit in it. We joined that battle when only 40 minutes were remaining but we were at top positions.

                                                             http://imgur.com/a/k3eiz

As descriped above, this combo is really versatile so, one may chose any appropiate strategy. I would have been delighted to explain that in depth if there was no word limit.

In short it is very good kit. Very deadly in right hands even without drugging. However, it does not perform good in big maps like Kungur or Madness.

I hope you enjoyed the review.                                   (Word Count = 498 excluding links and material in these brackets)

Vulcan M2 is OP.

It was also mentioned that the ratings are for comparison of product kits; and even if you buy a kit which I haven't rated highly, you're bound to have an advantage.

Ok so I read the whole thing and I can provide a good suggestion which will definitely make this series better:

Well as you know, we, high-ranked peeps get what you mean by 'turning the hull' in mid-air and some other tips and tricks as well, but, low-ranked people don't really get the idea right away. So, can you upload GIFs showing these tricks instead of the usual pictures taken in between of the trick. With the GIF, one could understand how you jumped at a certain angle and a certain amount of speed, what you did in mid-air and how you landed and continued your attack/something else.

Be advised that Im a warrant officer 5 had I know how to do this w/ rail and other guns. I would take back what you said about ' low-ranked' people Mr.
