Also keep in mind the difference between annoying and OP. Freeze may be annoying, that's your opinion. Whether it's OP can be disproved using statistics.

yeah right!!! we see mamoth shafts running around so much that we need so many freezes to stop them.

Duuude freeze has no counterplay you cant fight this gun, it should be deleted, period.

Yes you can, it's called don't be a noob and stay out of range. The guns that are good for close-range can turn fast enough to keep up anyway.  I see Freeze players getting killed all the time. It's not magic. ;)

so if you are already engaging another player and then a freeze comes to attack you from behind u have a chance ?!!!

This is freeze preferred tactic it has no counter play dude, have you ever heard of counter play ?!!!

Smoky M1 is the WORST! On a DD, it can kill a Wasp M1 in TWO hits! The recent nerf barely helped.

This is freeze preferred tactic it has no counter play dude, have you ever heard of counter play ?!!!

Then it's unfair because it is 2 vs 1 . In addition, any turret has an advantage if it attacks from behind.

 

Also, many veteran players don't just "let" freezes sneak up on them.

 

I hold to my previous statement. None of the stats support your opinion that Freeze is OP.

Well, considering Thunder can do that in one shot...

But Thunder actually loses to melee guns at close range and reloads slower.  It's OP when it can 2-shot a light hull and balanced when it's 3-shots.  Usually it's 3-shots but buyers often spam DD and turn it into a casual one-shot.

There is a reason this is the preferred drugging clans turret with isida, i think you have no clue what

Counter play means in game design, but hey from your answers i figure u r in ur early teens

The mere fact that Freeze players aren't always in first place and don't have the best d/l's says that Freeze isn't OP. I see Freeze players getting killed all the time. 

 

It doesn't prevent you from turning your turret, in fact the melee turrets can still follow it. That's like saying Twins prevents you from coming close to it. Sure, in certain situations, if you approach it the wrong way. Same with Freeze, you don't have to drive right up to it.

 

"Counter-play" means either staying out of range or getting into a situation where the freeze cannot circle. It's not my fault if you are finding that hard.

OP had only mentioned turret with DD.  And Thunder bests the smoky at that because it does it without warning in one shot.

 

My comparison was just to prove ALL turrets are OP on DD. It's like that argument about old Isida - "It's so OP on DD." Well every turret was OP on DD, not just Isida.

Get freeze protection dude - I have and I just slaughter them until they won't even come around me.

Yes Freeze protection is exponentially effective since it also reduces the Freeze effect.

I hate Smoky and Ricochet because they have high impact force and a quick fire rate, and since they're cheap at M1 everybody uses them...

Isida went from being one of the MOST annoying to the absolute least.

Yeh, I was so proud for my RARE M4 eternity paint which had 50 50 50 thunder smokey isida. Useless now ...

 

If we think without protections, I would say thunder rail shaft, but since I have 50 against all of these, it's mostly rico and hammer. I have strong feelings against freeze also, due to the fact, that I am 90% mobile shaft user and shaft rotation speed is already stupidly low, makes it kind of impossible when freeze gets you. 

 

Anything with impact force. It always screws up my Railgun.

 

When you get more skills, this won't bother you as you learn to time your shots better.

The most annoying turrent is the shaft they keep on sniping at when I respawn it really pissed me off.

Oops might've just spawn sniped you again. That was the first thing I did when I bought shaft
