Choosing a Combo

This article or guide is advising you on what turret and paint would suit you (Also known as choosing) , and what my opinion is, this includes what i think the correct turret and paint is at different stages of the journey. I did not include too much about Hulls because they have been covered or mentioned before in other topics of the tankionline Newspaper forum. Now it is time listen to me ramble on about how bad thunder is on what I think the correct and incorrect turret and paint for each section of ranks.

Recruit-Corporal:

Recruit is the lowest rank possible in tanki online. Which means, a lot of the time, tanki online players aren't going to be experienced as others. At this point in the game, I would advise you to buy Twins MO because of  its unlimited reload and high damage per shot. Then, I would possibly save up to buy hornet as it is speedy and quite strong. This makes it an unstoppable hull for it's rank. At Corporal and below, there's no paint worth buying due to it's lack of protections. But there's more than one combo which is suitable for you, it is down to your unique skills  in combat , that you have in different key arenas.

Master Corporal-Master Sergeant:

This is the section of ranks where M1's start to merge into your garage to buy. Me at this point would buy MO Hammer and M1 Firebird. This is because, both Hammer and Firebird deals a huge amount of damage and is good for at least five ranks above master sergeant. Also Firebird and Hammer are very cheap. But yet again, it still depends on your skills in certain maps, such as Polygon and Sandbox. No paints are useful yet.

First Sergeant-Warrant Officer 4:

Well, this section is tricky, because everyone has got at least 1 M1 (if not there's something wrong). So, from experience in being at low ranks, as I was, I would advise you buy Thunder, Twins or Railgun, although, many people would argue with me here saying that Ricochet is a good turret as well, well that is correct but it's low damage per shot and short range doesn't make it a outstanding figure comparing it to Thunder, as Thunder deals high damage to opponents in every shot at long range. However, paints, such as Jaguar and Tundra are the really only, powerful paints at these ranks because in places such as madness, there's lots of Thunder and Smoky players.

Warrant Officer 5- Captain:

My favorite part of this article, now, choosing your combo in this ranks rely on how many crystals you have in your garage, this is delivered by saving up after buying a decent M1 combo, for example, if you love short range maps such like ping-pong, then go for Freeze ,Twins or Isida. Your probably thinking why Isida? Well, Isida is very cheap and gives you chance to heal team mates or kill enemy's, while increasing your health until full capacity . In terms of paints, Sandstone and Spark are the best options for these ranks, repelling damage from widely used turrets.

However, even though they're expensive, it is worth it in the long run.

Major-Brigadier:

This section of ranks is where, you would suddenly start to find many M3 players and you're starting to fall behind in your rusty, old turrets'. M2 Firebird, M2 Smoky and M3 thunder are extremely tough weapons to master, but when you do, you will control the battle field in your sweaty, beaten hands. I recommend to get yourself M3 Thunder and upgrade it too M4, as higher up the ranks you get, the less useful it will become. On the other hand, paints such as Loam, Savanna and Cherry are the most expensive but has the most protections against strong turrets at this point in the game.

Major General-Generalissimo:

This sector is very important, scrap everything I have said in this article so far and forget it. It is about pure strength and skill. What you need to do now is playing in a arena where you're good in, oh yeah one more thing DO NOT, whatever you do, do not play with M3 Thunder any where unless, it is micro upgraded! What I would do to keep your self from getting damage is to work as a team using Vulcan, all you need to do is keep shooting your opponents, trying to make them flip, as for every second there could be a chance to flip someone while they are shooting due to it's high recoil. However, if you prefer XP/BP then buy the right equipment, and stay with it and get lots of crystals to buy paints such as Africa, Lumberjack and Picasso, to make your tank look pretty.

I hope, I have changed your opinions or minds on what the correct turret and paint is suited for each section of ranks. Any suggestions or ways to improve on this current article would be appreciated, please pop them down in the comment section below and I hope you gained some extra knowledge for the future, have a nice day.

Typically don't like the isida, Its because you can't kill your enemy's!!, Why?.. Because of your teammates.. If you won't heal one of your teammates they will call you "Noob" Isida!!, That's why.. And my combo F/H Ikr? OP?!!.. But still good for me!

Anyways.. Nice work

Isida M4 is beast. Almost indestructible in close range. I prefer it always as i got self healing. And healing my team gives me a reputation and score. Im buying it very soon.

Great article, although I don't quite agree with freeze M2. Twins and Fire M2 are way better, though obviously more expensive and unlock later on. But I would still wait a bit till I can get either. I've noticed freeze gets obsolete fast :( however recently I got Titan M2, and in certain maps works 'ok' (such as arena CP, island CP) especially if you got an Isida. I think here, freeze works better due to its slightly 'high(er :v)' damage than fire, as in these maps it is 3v3 or 4v4 at max, so the afterburn will only be useful if there are a number of your teammates still alive.

I've never quite been a fan of freeze.p, but for small maps it works quite well. However for maps such as poly CP, with a high number of players on each side, fire is better. Pair it with Dictator, a hull that unlocks early, and you've got a combo that can last for a long time ;)

Totally agree with everything else tho :) (except at my rank, I find 3 people with emeralds in almost every battle, so thunder, my previously favorite turret, is quite useless .-. :( I'm not planning on getting it M3, even more so MUing it, so don't agree with that bit too :p )

I liked it... I really did. Slowly the Amateur Writing section is becoming my favorite! I love guides. I recommend that you should consider kits. You information was mostly correct too.

P.S. Please tell me how to make those different colourful fonts. ;)
