The contest was posted on Wednesday so 48 hours after Wednesday is Friday therefore the contest doesn't overlap.

Don't want to go much off-topic, but I would like to point out that many Newspaper contests do not necessarily require great English. Anyways, good luck with these new challenges :).

So, it seems the contest didn't get as much participation as expected... ok, ok, it was a massive FAIL lol.

 

Anyway, here's how it's gonna go down. We'll be rewarding the top entries with 5000 crystals, and we're suspending the contest to see exactly what went wrong. For this though, I REALLY need your feedback. So, what's up? Why didn't you participate? What didn't excite you about it? What difficulties did you have?

 

C'mon, I'm counting on you to shed some light on the flop  :D

some players were not aware of what you wanted for this .. was it allowed to photo shop stuff or was it your own imagination on real items..

 

also players should realize that using items from company's ...they have a copy right on them and should not be used in the contest..

 

for me i had one but i also was not sure if i had it in on time or after the cut off.. this also was a issue  no one knew when the cut off for entry's were..

lets try a few more and give more info on what you want or expect from players .. limiting info don't help players and also have a mod who we can chat with or keep giving the correct info on the guide lines helps a lot of the time.. just look at Issho with the thinking day challenge if he was not there helping players i think it might not have gone off... this one is a huge win for the team..

1. The time limitation: u gave only a 2 days tym tht too only if the player has seen the post of the theme on time. tis makes it a lot hard to dedicate tym for the asked task as such a task need time to be executed.
2. The surprise timing of posting the question: many of my friends including me, saw the post after 12 to 15 hours of the post being published wich drastically reduces the time at hand for the task.
3. Craft-a-tank contest:
in tis contest we saw a whopping 8314 entries,(numbers posted in fb 'did u know') n yet the winning entries wer far far far better for a novice to design. most of the winning entries wer machine designed n thr wer only a couple of those selected wich wer homemade. This also greatly affected the morality of tankers who after ti contest xpected the same tyoe of entries here n so refrained frm entering.
4. This task needs a lot of time if anyone wishes to participate as one needs to dedicate a considerable amount of tym to design anything-then be it digital or handmade art. So this too makes many players opt out of the competition as many of them feel this competition needs lot of effort. To prove my point i would like to bring to ur notice a current e.g in tanki itself. the number of players entering in TO newspaper contests like- caption the image, mine art etc and tanki thinking challenge is FAR FAR FAR greater than the number of entries in contest like continue the story, Describe tis in 100 words etc which need atleast a specific amount of strict dedicated time for it. 

THESE R THE REASONS I 'PERSONALLY' FEEL WHY THIS CONTEST WONT OR ISN'T WORKING.

We understant that you want to make this game more enjoyable as possible. I really do. But I have high doubts there are tankers who can cook cakes :) Take a break and find good idea for another week's twitter contest.

ok more i read it .. i think the main issue is time.. 48 hours to make a food item is not enough to figure something out and create .. a cakes depending on how you design it could take couple of days and if you don't have all the items well then your heading into a week or so...

 

for our imaginations well we do have good ones .. and for the photo thing this was not clear enough how or what could be used due to  photo shop or even gimp things like that were or was not allowed to be used..??

 

for photo's well your back to the time factor also the video .. it takes time to create things were not magician that can pull it out of a tank

 

so what i would like to see is more time and also clearer details on what you wanted ..

 

for my entry it was left over pizza and pop that you had missed out on... if you had gone to Canada for the video challenge ..lol.. see here in Canada we make a mean Pizza...

 

for the next one think of something other then FOOD ...
