I suggest that the ignore option should clear the ignored player messages from your side of the chat. When someone insults me, I press ignore, but his insult is still visible. With this idea, the insult will be cleared/removed , but only to you. It will be visible to others until they ignore that player too.

Or better yet, player based bans....

 

 

On global especially. Let's say I see someone being insulted so I do the /Vote option- 3 strikes you're out. The player is banned for a certain amount of time and it logs so a admin can check it (This would take care of direct moderation to the chat, let players be more independent.)
