In this interview we will be interviewing some of the well-known EN community players who have helped and provided their best to shape the game as well as the forum by working day and night. We will have an insight of their lives and relations with Tanki Online.

Okay, we will start off by answering some simple questions. When and how did you get to know about Tanki Online and what made you play it?

 
@Darren4Turbo: I started playing Tanki Online in August 2014. I discovered it when I was browsing in Miniclip looking for a good multiplayer game. I decided to click on the game called "Tanki Online" and I made my first account called "Danny917". After few months, in December 2014, I guess... I forgot my password, so I decided to create an account called "Darren4Turbo" after my best friend, who's name was "darren2turbo".
 
: I was taking a screenshot of a game, and when I went to the link, a GIF of TO was in the advertisements. It looked like a game I had played before, so I decided to give it a try.

: I saw it because it was very popular in my school for about a month, and I eventually joined. I am the only one who stills plays it.
 
: I would always be really bored, one day on miniclip I found this game it looked really cool, since I was so young back then to me it felt cool to connect online. So yeah I started playing.
 
 
 

When did you get to know about the forum?

 
@Darren4Turbo: I discovered the forum after someone gave a link in the lobby chat to a certain topic, I don't remember the topic, though. So I signed in, browsed the forum and started posting in it.
 
: Whenever a new update/V-LOG was in the game or there were some announcements, we used to get an in-game notification. I clicked on the hyperlink on the notification and the forum showed up. (At the time, I thought the forum was boring  -_-)

: Le Newspaper and Kirby's analysis on Shaft and Rail.
 
: Around 1-2 years ago - when I joined my first clan.  ^_^

If you ever get a chance to become the head developer of Tanki Online, what change would you impose in the game?

 
@Darren4Turbo: Some basic changes in the Game rules. But actually, I don't really know, I don't want to change anything. It's perfect.
 
: First of all, I would promote vodka. Second, I have often heard that there is a noob in this game that goes by the name of DestroyerPdox. I will delete that noob's account.
 
: I really don't know. As a 16 year old, I would not know how to change the game to get money and to cause enjoyment. We give the development team a lot less credit than they deserve.
 
: I tend to see a lot of higher ranks getting bored and only playing because of friends and esports. I would add more things to do in TO and improve the Esports system.
 
 
 

Who is your favorite EN admin and why?

 
@Darren4Turbo: Issho_Fujitora. He's kind, friendly and technically, AWESOME!
 
: Favourite EN admin? Pfft. I don't like any of them. But if you're asking the one for which I give the most cares about, that would be Issho_Nubitora.
 
: Goldnug. I have gotten to know him fairly well as a part of AWC. Other than him, probably Issho, that guy does just about everything.
 
: Well... I like all of em. They do an awesome job taking care of this game. But If your talking in general staff, SHAD0W and Ghostrider are those who I've known for a very long time.
 
 
 

If you could get a chance to buy a combo for free, what would you buy?

 
@Darren4Turbo: I would get Railgun M3 XT with Wasp M3 XT. 
 
: Hunter M0, Smoky M0 and Green.
 
: M4 BP, I enjoy it more than XP, more fun and dynamic, along with more expensive.
 
: Firebird and Viking M3. It's versatile, swift and deadly.
 
 
 

what was your feeling when you reached ? @Darren4Turbo, , , do you guys have any plan on reaching the same rank?

 
 @Darren4Turbo: Meh, I'll reach Generalissimo after a century, probably. Last time I ranked to Brigadier was in 26th November 2015, so I didn't rank up like, since 7 months now.
 
: I was excited about it, but I soon realized that I would have to fight against druggers, which I wasn't very enthusiastic about.
 
: Let's just see if I can make it to the next rank. 3k away and still trying to find the motivation for it.
 
: Sure, why not? I mean I am only a tad bit away.   ;) 
 
 

How is Tanki X going for you? Any major changes you would like to suggest?

 
@Darren4Turbo: Tanki X is pretty good, but the loading bar takes too long to load. I would suggest some major fixes to it and everything will be alright.
 
: Tanki X? Nub game. 
 
: Haven't gotten an invite code   :(. Besides that, it looks cool. Suggestions? I really don't know too much about it to give my opinions on it.
 
: I haven't played Tanki X, but it seems good but maybe too graphical...
 
 
 

What is your favorite gift? Have you ever sent or received that one?

 

@Darren4Turbo: Blue Sphere <3 I received over 40 gifts from different players, but I would like to receive the Blue sphere, muhahahaha.
 
: Favorite gift? Brofist. Received some, but never sent any cos I cheap ok.

If you could/or got a chance to hack Tanki Online, would you do it?

 
@Darren4Turbo: No.
 
: Pfft. Of course I would.   B) 
 
: Of course. So many free crystals. Maybe a year ago, but probably not now. Too much at stake I could lose, and it is not fair to the devs.
 
: Of course not, like I would totally not, never. 
 
 
 

Which clan are you in right now and what made you join that clan?

 

@Darren4Turbo: I'm currently in clan "Happy Dragons". What made me join it are my huge number of friends in it, and the clan is also very active and strong.
 
: I ro solo k? Don't need a clan.
 
: Happy Dragons. Cause I know some members and the leader. And I want to start playing more.
 
: I lead Clan "Falcons" [FA] so.. I didn't really join one. 
 
 
 

 

Any plans on becoming StarLadder players and joining a StarLadder clan?

 
@Darren4Turbo: No.
 
: Nope.
 
: Nah, don't have time or money.
 
: Yes. I was planning on creating one quite soon.
 
 
 

Of all the previous celebrations, which one did you like the most?

 

@Darren4Turbo: Halloween 2015, due to a huge number of gold boxes being dropped.
 
: Christmas Sales 2015 (Not the one which happened at the end of last year).
 
: Umm, really all those celebrations that gave a decent discount to buy a new toy. Decorations don't mean too much to me.
 
: I liked 2015 Christmas sale. Where I got my favorite turrets and hulls.
 
 
 

 

How do you balance your life with Tanki Online?

 

@Darren4Turbo: Well, I play Tanki after school for 1 or 2 hours, then I do my homework and I might come back playing it after doing my homework... but that's rare.
 
: I play Tanki all day. Tanki es l0ve, Tanki es la1fe.

 

: What is this balance you speak of? Tanki, Tanki all the time. Um, well, I try to balance out school and Tanki. I don't play Tanki during class as much, just either checking the forum or contributing to flood on Skype. I try to get stuff done in each at a decent time.
 
: Well I mean, its more of getting time to fit Tanki Online into my life   :P 
 
 
 

 

What are the main things you are currently doing? In both, Tanki Online and real life.

 

@Darren4Turbo: In Tanki, I just help the community and play. In real life, I have to do a lot of school work.
 
: Tanki? Saving crystals, completing missions. Real life? Studying for exams.

 

: Waiting for response on Reporter application, AWC, Working on my eagle project for Boy Scouts (BSA), playing the cello, and helping at my church. 
 
: Tanki Online: Dominating battles with friends, clan related things. Real Life: Preparing for Exams, hanging out with friends  ;)  
 
 
 

 

Hmm. Okay. Do you have more friends in real life or in Tanki Online?

 

@Darren4Turbo: In fact, I have more in Tanki Online, but the number is similar to real life.

: Tanki, because if they knew me in real life, they would hate me with a passion. I guess I am good in small doses   :P

Which Tanki and real life job(s) you love the most?

 

@Darren4Turbo: I like the Wiki Editors' job but a Forum Moderator isn't bad either. In real life, I wish to be an artist or a photographer.
 
: Tanki job - Forum Moderator. Real life - Programmer, Physicist, Psychologist.
 
: In Tanki: Reporter, Wiki Editor, Forum Moderator. In real life: Civil Engineer, Financial Analyst.
 
: N/A. I do no jobs apart from school and leading; if you say that is a job.
 
 
 

 

Interesting. Do you guys have any plans on applying for those jobs?

 

@Darren4Turbo: Hmm... I don't really know, I'm still young.
 
: Yeah, programmer.
 
: Reporter application is in; Forum Moderator failed; Wiki Editor, I don't know, maybe in the future. In real life jobs though: let's just start with getting a high school diploma, k?
