What book are you reading?

^ Another mind-boggling read

Have you read it? I read like 100 pages in a single go because it is just damn interesting.

I'm planning to buy Angels & Demons. Is it better than Inferno, or shall I buy Inferno?

Yes. Angels & Demons was good too. I have yet to take a look into Inferno, but I certainly plan on it and would encourage you to do so as well.

I'm doing an assignment where I compare books to movies.

I've been reading The Kite Runner for the past few weeks and it's nothing like the movie. So many differences to list, looks like this will take a while. Book is pretty good, though.

I remember reading The Kite Runner, yes it was different from the movie, but Hosseini helped teach us about family, betrayal, and many other lessons. He did the same thing in A Thousand Splendid Suns, which I would recommend. He also teaches us about the politics in the Middle East and how that got us to the mess we have now.

The Kite Runner had an extremely sad ending. :(

Sohrab should've spoken to Amir. But the book was extremely good, but it becomes a bit sluggish somewhere in the middle.

Why is it disturbing?

For those who care: SPOILER ALERT!

The ending. The protagonist is tortured and convinced of clearly illogical concepts, then later killed. At the time of his death, he fully supports the regime.

The protagonist also betrayed his beloved GF and sent her to a dungeon to rot and be eaten by rats

I'm guessing you're into early dystopian books...

Well, I mostly read Fantasy, YA, and yes dystopian. I've been trying to expand my lit horizons and Fahrenheit 451 is a hybrid of sci-fi and classics (in a dystopian setting).

Alex Ferguson's Life story. For those who dont know. He was the real person behind the success of Ronaldo. He really trained him at first. This is really worth reading been waiting to get it since I heard about it.

Reading one of the best mystery novels of all time, "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie.

Agatha Christie has written many great mystery novels in my opinion, including this one. Enjoy reading!

I’ve been reading through every Enid Blyton I can get my hands on, and now I’ve started on the continuations of her books by various authors (Pamela Cox, Anne Digby, Elise Allen, etc)
