What is adaptive FPS ?

i already know that FPS means frame per second ,, BUT

 

I need information about the function of the adaptive FPS in game settings & why the PING raise up when i turn on the adaptive FPS ?

Definition: Adaptive FPS allows you to avoid 'controls delay' (some people get delay after pressing a tank control button, for example, by pressing 'Up', it takes some seconds till the tank reacts and moves forward) Do not use it unless it is necessary.

My guess is that adaptive FPS plays whatever graphics it thinks your computer can handle. Not whatever it can handle at 50 FPS, just whatever it thinks it can play.

That thing should just be kept as it is - it only causes more lags instead of fixing them. A flash developer, plays tanki too, told me that once.
