An Abduction

“A whisper, a roar, a scamper, a scream. What are they? “

“ Sound. Just measly mechanical waves passin’ by with a frequency you won’t find interesting.”

“ That’s what you think Galadrio. A rich man smirks upon a slice of bread, while a real one stares in awe, noticing each of its crumbs, imagining them bigger than his appetite. ‘

“ Your analogy is as stubborn as a lion eating grass.”

Galadrio utters a smirking groan, picks his jacket up and leaves like the wind riding the light, leaving behind a confused scientist, who had spent his entire life searching for things that did not exist. He was neglected, rejected and despised even though his soul was as simple as an atom. All his days were spent wondering about what makes a wave ‘tick’. His research was all that was left for and of him.

He did not consider sound as the other pea-minded loot hoarders did. He thought it had a purpose, and that even a single joule of energy could unveil its true identity. A single strand of hair is bound by the string of fate, yet he twisted and stretched the string to meet his ends. Lavario was his name, which strikes as a bartender’s name at first impression. But its not always as it meets the eye is it?

Lavario was determined to apply his abnormal intuition to create a masterpiece which would change his life, and many other’s. He wanted to prove to the world that everything had a purpose beyond purpose. He was met by mockery and persecution, but he did not sink under the weight of society, since he had the virtues of courage and determination.

Another simple day was scampering by, as Lavario continued to fiddle with his trinkets at his lab. A sudden knock on the door triggered an involuntary groan on his face.

 “Mr Lavario?”

 “ Yes?”

“We are The Department of Psychological Science, and we want you to accompany us.” The words struck as thunder on Lavario’s face.

“ Baladrio called you didn’t he? How many times must I tell you, I am not mad! The research I’m doing here is beyond all of your comprehension! “

A big stout man walked up to the door, staring at Lavario with his cactus-like eyes, as if they could sting him without contact.

“ It wasn’t an offer imbecile. Grab him!”

The men pushed and knocked down Lavario like a wrecking ball. A spray of unknown origin was put in his mouth, and he was out.
