Kicked out of same server when playing with son---- WHY?

I've had the same problem when I use a different computer as someone else in my household, but we are on the same wi-fi network.

the wifi is not it .. i showed someone else about it if you go to the v-logs there was a up date in tanki about ip addresses and if you have two or more people playing in same location this would show in the mods chat as a flag issue and they can close your link.. this means to them that you could be using two computers or pages to power battle ..this means having two tanks in the same battle and one getting more kills for exp and dl rating .. your wi fi is one ip address and your computer has a separate one but more then one computer would all be on the same ip as one computer..

I know i'm confusing at times .. but you can email tanki on line attention Dev's and they would be more then happy to explain more about it..

good luck

All computers coming from the same home network will have the same IP address, that's just how it works. Each computer in your household will have a different assigned private IP address, but when they go out to the internet, they share the same public IP address. This is where I think the problem lies. Tanks has controls in place to prevent players from padding their stats by logging into multiple computers and playing battles against themselves to gain exp.  This same rule punishes people that want to play while on the same home network.

Trying to shut down the cheaters has actually harmed legitimate players that won't to battle while on the same home network.

The issue is not in Tanki's system. My brother and I can play normally without having to face such issue.

That doesn't mean there isn't a problem on Tanki's end. It just means that if there is a problem, it doesn't affect you. There are many variables involved when thinking about this issue and I hope the Tanki developers can help explore the problem and work towards a resolution.

I use to fly online sims RB3D (Red Baron) and IL2 46 , never could double up in IL2 but RB  was easy to put a drone and attack  an attacker.

i used 2 PC's two monitors no biggy with router. both could be traced back to same IP same name.

The security for RB to prevent hacks which was by a 3rd party was ok but never prevented hacks but could be used for drones or bots.

and could be used to trace one but I did my stuf in a squadron server or battle just for fun and a laugh never for gain.

As I stated earlier, it will say "connect to another server" because it is too full, or the "server is under maintenance."   A screen shot will show you just that, like it does when anyone else gets the prompt during the 9 PM server update or if a server is overloaded. Also, this has nothing to do with server overload. You can clearly see the server load on the page when you log into it. It happens during all hours, including peak or off hours.

Like someone stated earlier, maybe it was due to some update that Tanki had a few months ago. It certainly is a connection glitch that was not there in the past. And yes, many computers can share the same IP address in a household, but MAC addresses are all different.

Hi, I have been facing this problem quite recently as-well. i bet Tanki has currently tweaked some settings for sure. I used a VPN and the problem has been rectified.

Hope it works out!

Good Luck  ^_^
