Believe it or not, the utmost amazing gold catch I have ever deemed on myself was just this Tanker's Day (along with 2 other, mediocre catches). How conveniently fresh in my memory! But anyways, here goes the story of the best Goldbox catch in my Tanki Online career: It was already an amazing day, not that any day in Tanki isn't... I had finally gotten my long-awaited Firewall Kit with Firebird and Hunter M2, and I had been using the OP combo for an hour with some friends. But I grew tired of not having any new competition and went on to a real battle with live action, a Rio CTF to be certain... It was an easy battle, and with my new kit I had almost instantly shot up to the #1 spot after capturing 2 flags for the Red Team. As the battle was nearing its end and I was burning Blue team invaders to a crisp like the savage that I am, it happened. The Siren went off. A blasting “noise” (bad pun) in my earbuds; to everyday folks, a siren of imminent danger and disaster; but to us Tanker's... A chorus of prospering crystals. As any quick-witted tanker would, I quickly climbed the buildings past my red flag to a vantage point over the map & almost immediately found the drop location. It was just past the first ramp up from my flag, right next to a Double Damage (which I aptly took). But, it wasn't going to be easy. There were nearly 10 Blue tankers on the ramp to the left of the drop zone, including a fully drugged Isida-Hornet M2 that chased me back to my flag's level. He quickly ditched chasing me when he got to the ramp next to the drop zone, reversed, and jumped up to a little "mesa" above the drop zone slightly higher than it. I noticed the white glow and heard the "trill" of an egg he had laid on it, so no red’s could sneak up on him. Seeing an advantage, I quickly engaged a speed boost and blasted my Hunter to his little table above the Drop Zone, just missing his mine, and unsuspectingly pushed him off... I was saving that mine for about 10 seconds down the road. I was quickly met with several Freezes and Railguns pummeling me with their oil-thirsty turrets, jealous of my position... but my Hunter could take it for a bit. I knew i couldn't heal just yet. Then, the box of 1,000 beautiful crystals began to float to our disposal. No matter how many times I will see a goldbox, the beauty of it always makes me as excited as if the Tanki gods (or a kind buyer) have bestowed upon me the gift of eternal life. I was almost to the point of destruction when the gold box was just barely above the tanks piled up above the dropzone.. When it was time. I quickly healed and ran over the mine belonging to the now-flipped Isida, which sent my Hunter jolting upwards, while simultaneously a frantic gold-happy M2 Hammer shot my hind-end, trying to make me flip. But luckily, this made it an even cooler catch as it caused me to do a full 360-degree turn to the left into the gold box just above the other frantic tankers, nearly 15 tanks to brag... But it was a short lived burst of glory, as my tank spiralled above & past all of them and below into the ally, landing upside down on top of a Double Armor box. I quickly pressed delete and chatted “yesssss” as I self destructed, my heart racing for being filled with confidence and joy. Some were saying “what a catch” and “wow..” while others (and much more prevalently) were filling up the chat with words such as “hacking noob,” “jump hacker” and many, many asterisks that I won’t bother to mention. It was by far the most amazing gold box catch I had ever partaken in myself, and I hope that you all enjoyed it too!

Okay... before beginning the story I would tell you that I am writing such thing for first time :D 

 

 

TOTAL MADNESS

 

    So, I was a noob Warrant Officer 2 at that time and even worse I had 0 M1s. I completed my studies as fast as I could and after that I logged in Tanki. I couldn't find any interesting battle, I decided to try out a new map. Scrolling through the list I found out a map called "Madness CTF". Since I found the name interesting I decided to check the map and clicked the "Play" button.

  

   After two minutes I found myself on the map. I was spawned at the top of map and when I decided to go down , I landed upside down..... I tried to land myself straight many times but always failed(though it happened a few times but it was pure luck). I decided to leave the map but I saw something written  "Gold Box Will Be Dropped Soon" followed by a siren. Since I was new to this map I did not where the gold would drop and it was no small map. I decided to go down and did it successfully ( was very happy) and started searching for the sign but before I could find it I suddenly felt something..........It was an enemy isida behind me with double damage and killed me in an instant BOOOOOOOM....            [its already more than 15 secs]

 

  I respawned at a great height after 5-6 secs and I completely lost my hope of getting a gold because it was already too late and I hadn't mastered myself in landing down straight. I got a bit mad(not because I was in madness )    and not knowing anything fell from there.... I WAS FALLING DOWN...........[it was time for gold to drop]

 

 I saw a parachute and knew it might be a supply dropping but as I got more close I identified it to be GOLD BOX! I was getting down and down near the gold box which was still in air and I could see the tanks below fighting for the gold box...... soon I was through gold and I saw a message " AshsPikachuDwij has taken the gold box"

 

  I was so happy to see that... whereas the other tankers were bit confused about what had happened. They thought that I was hacker and started insulting me but I did not care. The battle ended soon and I left the battle.

 

  That gold was so lucky for me because on that day I had personal discount on Firebird M1 and I had just enough crystals to get it now!!!!! And it was with that gold that I managed to get my first M1 - Firebird M1[Though at WO2 :p].

prnt.sc/chr3xc Twas the night before Christmas a tanker had just bought Railgun M1 and was eager to try it, out he joined Noise CTF on the Red team and started playing, then his heart began to thump and his pulse raced as the letters GOLD BOX WILL BE DROPPED SOON appeared on his screen he drove off the map and respawned he saw a fight on the blue storage container to the right of the drop zone, he added his double armor and nitro and took a spot on the highest platform on the map as the gold fell he drove towards it and shot backwards as preformed many atime by famous youtubers flying through the air towards the Gold box a mad scramble for it had broken out underneath him he flew over top and landed, he looked at the top of the screen to see the letters   I.Skills.Bestmeordie HAS TAKEN THE GOLDBOX he was so stunned he didn't know how to react he was bombarded in chat with " Hacker !!! " and " Noob ! " he realised at that moment he had preformed a catch of many a legendary gold hunter had. THE END.

Since I started this game, I was an actually new at it. I didn't know anything about it, I saw the people using a weird things on their tanks, after one month exactly I know what was that, it was " Supplies " Anyways, the players were using it to get that thing, and trying to catch something dropping usually they were calling it 'Gold Box' I was wondering what is this?

 

 

Mad people around me, pushing, killing and flips. I felt the people hadn't liked to play a real battle, because they were saying ' Gold box will be dropped soon'

 

Sooner or later it will drop, I didn't know how the gold looks like, because I only saw a person say " Gold "!!

 

 

After 3 minutes of playing the battle in Silence, I saw " Gold box will be dropped soon" everyone shivering at this moment, because everyone wants it. Indeed the gold dropped behind me, after 2 seconds I turned myself, I saw the gold, but I thought if I go to take it, I'll be destroyed, more than 6 tanks were coming too fast, I was shocked why all want to be destroyed, one tank took it, he thanked me, I don't know why he thanked me, I asked him why'd you thank me? He answered, because you gave me a 1k gold, I thought that was look like a mine if I went to it, I'll be destroyed, I thought TO was as these games which I played when I was younger, I told that guy, I thought it's a mine, whole the game laughed at me because I got trolled.

 

 

Next time I decided to open my eyes and focus on taking the gold, also don't give them a chance to get golds and troll me again and I will rely on myself.

 

 

Well, I've changed the map, I went to " Sandbox" I say " the small maps might help in taking golds, because it was smaller than

 

" Silence " So I might get a chance to take the gold, unfortunately, I've played 48 minutes, but gold didn't drop, what a sad moment!

 

I was about to leave the battle because I played more than 2 hours, all that to get the 1k which I missed.

 

 

Suddenly! Gold box will be dropped soon! I was wondering where is it.

 

Can't find where is it, 3 tanks were following me lol, I was such a boss!

 

 

But unfortunately the gold wasn't at my place, it was a lil bit far, I lost all the chances ' OMG'

 

I left the battle, but I saw " Gold box will be dropped soon once again, I joined the battle I was too fast, finally I dropped on the gold I saw, Mammoth, Titan, Dictator, they need 3 years to get that gold, it was my 1st time ever which I got this lucky!

 

 

The next day, I was surprised there were lots of gold dropping, it was too faster than yesterday.

 

I asked those players, why there are so many golds dropping today?

 

They said, actually today there is x2, double funds! So enjoy the golds today! I was really happy when I heard this, because I'll have more chances to take more golds.

 

 

Double golds are dropping!!!! What a nice moment!

 

It was in " Boombox" what happened??

While the game were calling a hacker ! I had Hornet and freeze, I actually got an insult.

Dramatic Rio Gold 

Rio Ctf 5000 New year Gold 

 

I was third lieutenant at that time , a sniper. My combo was shaft + Hornet.It was before release of 30 sec Gold Box time. I was sniping from blue base left corner in beach when suddenly I saw a sign on top of screen and sound in my ears , it was Gold Box. I was super excited I press "2" button and took Double Armor and was searching Gold. I saw like 8+ tankers were on spot and it was kinda difficult for me to take Gold because I was using shaft.I saw a tanker jumping and I flipped him :P as he had all drugs activated . I pressed 4 button for speed boaster and found a double damage near by  and took   it. I went to the place as fast as I could and was hiding near to him. I saw mammoth and titans occupying the place and more were coming. I knew that I have very few chances of taking Gold box in this condition. I went on top of building where I saw 2-3 wasps . I killed 1 and 2 other jump towards gold. I was half flipped and was watching gold falling in front of me. I got back to position but I though I lost the Gold since it was too close to the player on street of red flag. I jumped from there but he was about to take . I had no other choice and suddenly I pressed space bar button and hit player in arcade mode but he didn't got destroyed.I knew I lost it but I couldn't believe my luck he lagged and was standing on gold it was mammoth. I was coming down and hit him another shot he got destroyed.All tanks near him wanted to take gold but no one was successful. I jumped straight on destroyed tank and took it and it appeared.

A Dramatic Gold in Polygon XP/BP

 

It was a lovely night in Polygon. The center piece in violent red, glowing across the whole map. All the yellow and purple smoke going from 1 corner to the farthest areas of the map. Wasps, Hornets racing through every square-inch of the map eliminating their enemies, when suddenly. A bright yellow message appeared saying 'Gold box will be dropped soon' followed by a raging atomic siren. It seemed like a friendly area all of a sudden. Enemies passing through each others faces but nobody caring to shoot each other. All the wasps and hornets rushing around the map just to find a square but golden colored mark on the ground with a big Crystal on it. Even in this 'friendly' war-zone of 30 seconds it was not very unusual to see some of the over-confident or extremely tensed tankers to shoot random people in the hope of increasing their chances of getting the box, but ending up getting themselves killed by others on the argument that he was considered as a threat to those who were calmly waiting for the shiny box to appear in the sky before warming up their mighty rails. Some going into the pits, some jumping off ramps others rushing and suddenly turning into a tank waste. I was trying go for the victory of our team. It meant more than anything for me, so I didn't bother running around or jumping into pits to self-destruct but I stood inside the pit capturing the point. Right after I was done with it I was sniped by 2 purple smoke lines which came out of no-where. I spawned right next to the point to the left of the Island. I suddenly saw all the tanks rushing towards me. Out of complete anxiety and extreme rush of adrenaline I reversed my tank and forced it to its limits when a hornet lagged below me and suddenly blasted causing a huge explosion accompanied by a yellow smoked shot by an M3 Railgun Wasp which seemed to have gotten destroyed in the process of finding the drop zone and had an unlucky spawn. He tried to calm himself down by shooting a random guy near the gold expecting him to die. Luckily it was me with full health. The death explosion together with the railgun shot was fair enough to make me fly through the gold before it could get into anybody else's reach. Thereafter smashing into that bright yellow box, I didn't really realize or could get myself calm enough to care to read the notification right above which said 'PhantomInferno has taken the gold box'. This act executed effortlessly with perfection at its max, didn't take much time for the battle chat to get flooded with 'hacker' 'video ban' 'hhhh noob kid'. A tremendously happy moment for me, as I didn't even realize where I was driving but I seemed to have been lucky enough to drive into one of those rarely sighted, bright white and gold colored boxes dropped by the admins randomly across the handsome number of the games populated across all the servers. It was a moment when I felt extremely gallant on my gold box hunting skills about the decision I took for going for the capture instead of hunting for the drop zone. Who knows? Maybe the story might have had a different ending then? ;)

I don't think that's really considered plagiarism. It's not word-for-word and I'm fairly sure that's a general thing, Pdo. A lot of people reverse then accelerate to take a Gold and a lot of people also are so shaken up that they miss the notification.

As I scrolled down the chat, a message caught my eye. Madness Capture The Flag (CTF for short) gold box. Removing every distraction from my mind I started playing sincerely and full of hope that a gold box would drop. Playing was like drinking hot chocolate. As the battle fund reached 4,000, those golden words on the top of my screen completely shattering my idea of failure and I shouted at the top of my voice but was only silenced by the adrenaline siren wails in the Madness map. To see the rush to the top was no surprise. I had no idea where it could be and went to the top. As everyone was there waiting, it must be there, I said to myself. I was all wrong. Everyone there was just waiting there for the tiniest sign of the gold box. I too sat there for which felt to me the longest 10 seconds ever encountered. As a mere Warrant officer 4 I was the lowest level rank in the battle and I, with my Wasp M1 and Railgun, which was never upgraded, had never had the slightest bit of hope. Everyone there had a medium or large sized hulls. As I waited and waited a thunder shot straight at me and my hope of getting the gold box disappeared into thin air. I fell to the ground below me and simply started moving around. A thunder hit me again and I had only a sliver of health and survival. I started moving aimlessly and saw a health kit box. I was so sure I would get the health kit box. Playing a dramatic song in my mind I slowly reached and as I finished my dramatic journey a Hornet M1 came and took it. Why, I could not even catch a mere health kit box! Why was I a failure! Darn you, Don’t_think_just_kill. I looked for one and came to see a health kit box and a double defense box not too far away. This was a journey not as big as catching the gold box. I got the health kit box at least. Now starts another journey for my double defense box. Nobody had got the gold box till now. What happened? I continued to search for a while. I came across a large group but to no avail. A Railgun had shot me and I came back to sliver of health. I jumped to the platform not in the bottom but just below me. Unfortunately, I flipped and I started to wait tom self destruct. Wait is that the gold box just below me? EUREKA!!! IT IS!! There was the box, with the face of a joker on it. Waiting there was the saddest moment. Why couldn’t I just have fallen to the bottom? Watching my tank be destroyed while a box of triumph was right below me was so depressing. Suddenly a Titan starts pushing me, thinking he could make me fall to my death. But I knew what could happen. As I fell I saw the gold my heart started to race. A Wasp and a Railgun came straight at me at full speed. He shot me and just made my fall better and faster........... ANNNDD CRAZIER. WOOOAAAAHHHH!!!! I fell on the platform and there were the words I had been waiting for. 'AshJacob has taken the gold box' were printed on the top of my screen. Everyone in the chat went wild. 'Where was it?' or 'Ash you lucky Guy’ or ‘That gold was clearly mine’ came racing in and were the common phrases. Once or twice the words ‘noob’ and ‘hacker’ had caught my eye, but I tried my best to ignore it and I hid my anger. There were no signs of hacking and my catch was pure. And if I was a noob, I would have never caught the gold box. The Rail who shot me had typed loads of swear words and other stuff. I could imagine him in his house turning beet red. This Gold box had made my day. Playing another game with my friend, a gold dropped again. Everything could not go my way. My friend successfully took it. Time to call my friends to explain the incident and buy myself a Smoky M1.

Rio, a map famous for its parkour, from beginners on the stone ramps to experts on the skyscraper shooting their M3 twins in an oscillating circle, throwing coloured balls of light, illuminating the map in the dead of night.

 

I was equipped with M1 railgun and M1 wasp, a player spawned, in chat he said: “has gold dropped yet?” and at that instant, the orange letters appeared at the top of the screen, some took it as a sign, others as something that was meant for them, i spotted the drop area, just to the left of me, i was a blue, and i saw two reds go for it, side by side, i climbed the ramp at the side of the map, one red boosted ahead using the speed boost to his advantage, the other followed slowly behind, they were both hornet, and they must have been low on health. Apart from the speed boost, neither of them had any supplies activated, i was in mid air and the red with the speed boost was directly under me, i pressed 5 to activate a mine, it worked. The next red passed under shortly after, i shot it and killed it, which flipped my tank and made me land upright, i continued on to the drop zone, i was the first one there, i activated my double armour and waited.

My team mate arrived, an isida. Good, he would heal me, a red arrived next, but the isida took him out. We fought off any rivals until the box was in sight it was just us, now our battle began. I fired at him, and pushed him back, but he had a stronger hull, things were not looking good. At the last moment i pulled away and reversed back into the drop zone, my friend spent precious seconds figuring out what happened, but it was to late, “millartery has claimed the gold box” said the words, the words that brung a tear to my eye, for this was my first ever gold box.

Dramatic Gold Box Take

 

It was a normal day in Tanki, I had logged onto my account to do my daily missions. What's this? "Collect Gold Box 0/1". I mutter to myself, "great, the Gold Box curse has found me..." I search though the battle list when a small but short game catches my eye. Farm CTF 30 minutes. I join the battle, mainly hoping to complete my XP mission but destiny has something else on its mind.

 

I fight bravely, capturing flag after flag, destroying tank after tank. With my Gold Box mission completely off my mind, but all of a sudden, Gold box will be dropped soon appears at the top of my screen! The siren starts bursting through my speakers and my heart starting to race... I quickly smash the number 2 key on my keyboard, and search the map, looking for the drop zone. Its wasn't long till I find it, just down from our teams flag and another surprise waits.

 

An enemy has laid a mine on the drop zone. I think to myself, "I can use that to my advantage". By now 30 agonizing seconds has passed, the Gold Box starts to drop. Two enemy Hammers start to make their way towards it from their base, this was my chance. I charge for the Gold like a bull at a red flag, I hit the mine at full speed with a smirk on my face. That smirk quickly turned to panic. As the M2 Hammer shot, I started to flip back to far, my Dictator looked like an up-side down Eiffel tower. The other Hammer rushing for the Gold as I did, runs into me. I start falling, falling backwards. AWAY from the Gold Box! I take my hands off the keyboard, thinking the curse has won, or has it? My up-side down Dictator lands on the Hammer that pushed me. I have a chance, not a very good one, but a chance! My own teams Railgun shoots, it knocks me towards the Gold, this is it I think to myself. I side along the pile of tanks, but then I start sliding too far, now sliding away from the Gold. The Gold Box is only seconds from being caught by someone, but who? The M2 Hammer that caused all this has shot again, his pellets hit me! My tank starts to spin, in a motion towards the Gold Box! This is it! He shoots again! By the very edge of my tank I touch the Gold Box, I see lukey0_Mr.Goldie has taken the gold box appear! The rest stare, most of them stunned and just can't believe what they just witnessed. The most spectacular catch of all time. But all I was thinking to myself was, my Gold Box curse has been lifted.

I'm sorry if you found it similar, I guess we both used the same sort of dramatic concepts. (Short dramatic sentences, setting the scene of the day well etc)

 

To be honest I hadn't read yours, or anyones till now. The Gold is meant to be dramatic, so it won't be a simple jump one you take in Polygon. :P
