I am late, sorry. :p

Well the Copa America started last week. We are only on the 2nd match day heading towards our 3rd. Who are you supporting? Can Chile repeat? In here if its not obvious :p, we will be discussing the Copa America!!!

I go for Mexico! Did anyone see the match earlier between Argentina and Panama? 5-0 in favor of Argentina. Messi comes off the bench with a hat-trick and assist.

usa ain't going to win lol. I know you live in this fantasy that USA win everything but you need to open your eyes

Anyways, i think Argentina will win cause they have Messi, Arguero, Di Maria. However, Colombia have a shot at winning too, big chance they will be in the final. I personally want Brazil to win but they wont, too many missing talents

You also need to understand how big the USA is and how much money they invest in these sports. Unlike other countries

But where is the USA in the best sport in the world(Football) and cricket?

what are exactly the sports played in the Olympics?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olympic_sports

You also need to understand how big the USA is and how much money they invest in these sports. Unlike other countries

But where is the USA in the best sport in the world(Football) and cricket?

you need to understand that countries like china and russia(soviets) invested more then we do in these sports. in those countries they take kids when they are 7 away from their family to go train to be professional athletes. yet we still beat them

the us is the best in many sports, as evident by our 976 gold medals

also, soccer and cricket arent the best sports in the world, because those titles belong to football and basketball. in football, the us mens national team has never lost a game. You can say "your the only country that plays football" well thats incorect. also, in the tournaments, we cant use people who have ever played professional and they have to have finished college, so basically we use guys who suck to dominate the world.  in basketball our team cruises to wins every time. In the US, most people dont care about soccer. Clint Dempsey, out best player, wanted to be a football player, but the coach cut him and told him to go play soccer. Most people dont care about soccer in america, yet we beat teams where their whole countries live for it. thats how good we are.  Also cricket is only popular in former British colonies not names US and Canada

BUT this topic isnt about why the US is the best, its about the Copa America so stay on topic

i didnt mention a race. and how can a soccer fan seriously call us racist. soccer is one of the most racist sports. you dont see NBA games with ads saying "say no to racism" yet fifa puts it everywhere. thats because there isnt a need for it at NBA games cause nobody is yelling racist stuff. Belotelli has had bananas thrown at him. you dont see that at NBA or NFL games

And also, the only country that takes basketball or American Football serious is the USA. And when you say you beat countries in soccer that commit so much to the sport. Well, you beat the countries that are poor and barely have money to invest into the sport. You invest more than top countries into the sport soccer yet you lose against those countries that invest less than you.

Yesterday USA and Paraguay played. It was a 1-0 win for the US, eliminating Paraguay. Well deserved victory for the US. They were 10 men for like half the game. And surprisingly, Costa Rica defeated Colombia 2-3. This makes USA the winner of group A and Colombia runner-up. I did not expect this. TBH, I expected Paraguay to win.

again, you show your ignorance. basketball is played in more countries then cricket and is the number one sport in china, which you know is a pretty huge country. Basketball is also popular in France, Spain, Germany, Russia, Australia, Nigeria, Canada, Mexico, Japan and many more.  They play American football in Canada, Japan, France, Germany, Austria, China, and many other countries. In fact just this year a guy from Germany was drafted into the NFL, becoming the first guy to have never played in North America to be drafted into the NFL.  Last year Jarryd Hayne , who was one of the best rugby players in the world, joined as a backup running back in the NFL. There are also NFL legends who are from other countries, such as Jan Stenerud from Norway and Christian Okoye from Nigeria

The reason the US is not world class at mens soccer yet is because most kids dont play soccer as a kid. in Mexico or Germany, every kid plays soccer. But in America, kids play baseball or basketball or football before they try soccer most times.. However for girls, soccer is more common. That is why the US Womens team is the best in the world while the Mens is only top 20. However the Mens team does beat some top countries, such as Costa Rica, which made it out of the group stage of the world cup, and beat Ecuador, the 13th ranked team,  recently.

Thank you :)

John Brooks and Guzan saved the US

Yea. Soccer is not the favorite in the US. I think Football, Baseball, and Basketball are the favorites.

I know really good from Brooks. I thought that counter attack was going to be a goal.

Yeah, but, is basketball a main sport in these countries? No

I have one question to end this argument. Do you really think the us are going to win copa america?

Well USA will play with either Brazil, Peru, or Ecuador. I think they can beat Ecuador. Idk about Brazil or Peru. So it depends on who is runner-up on group B.

i have one question for you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2be4fOXBH6E

yes that was hockey, not soccer. but the odds of that happening where way lower then they are for the US winning the Copa America. The Soviets all time record is 738–110–65 and they had just beaten the NHL all stars before the Olympic and had beaten the same US team 10-3 before the Olympics.

We dont have to be better then Argentina to win, we just have to be better for 90 mins.

id rather play Peru cause they are ranked in the 40s compared to Brazil who is 7th and Ecuador who is 14th, but we just beat Ecuador and Brazil is without Neymar and some other key players so I feel we have a chance against whoever. Seattle is also one of our best environments. However we will be without Yedlin and  we are already without Altidore, so none of themwill be easy

I meant I would rather play Peru, not Ecuador :p

But yah, none of them will be easy. Those are key players who are out.
