Windows 10

I am posting this here becasue I want lots of people on this Tanki Online site to hear my opinions about Windows 10 and get people to complain at Microsoft about the negative changes being made to Windows 10 - OK.

The amount of people in this forum is basically nothing compared to Windows 10 users.

I recently upgraded to Windows 10. I have had to deal with various problems with it since then.

What kind of issues do you have with Win10? I have it on my computer since the release, and it is running fine.

I have no particular issues with Windows 10, but I do not like the way the programming of Windows 10 was made. I am so happy with Windows 7 and I will stick to it forever.

I do not care about the bleak future plans that Microsoft has about Windows in general.

Every Windows user has his or her own personal choice of what kind of operating system they like to use.

I still use Windows 95 and NT 4.0 on a desktop PC and I do not have any complaints about it.

I use Windows 95 and NT 4.0 offline.

I also continue to use Windows XP, and I can do all the work necessary that suits my needs without the need to upgrade to Windows 10 at all.

First, I couldn't get my speakers to work, until I researched how to fix speaker problems from a Windows 10 upgrade online. Then I discovered that my microphone didn't work anymore, so I had to update the driver.

So I understand that you have already fixed the issues, is that right?

Yes, I have. I had to look up the model of microphone installed on my laptop, and research microphone drivers on the Internet. Usually, updating the driver for hardware is free. You just need to do your technical computer research on the Internet first, so you know which driver you need, and it depends on your hardware. The speaker problems are common for Windows 10 upgrades, and the solution very counterintuitive. But enough people have had problems that there is a video on YouTube on how to fix it. Finally, I have a problem with switching programs when I am juggling multiple applications. Sometimes, I have to minimize a program in order to view and use other applications, rather than just being able to switch normally between applications, I haven't solved that one yet.

Another one is how to replicate the convenient "my computer" function that was on my previous Windows version. I can get to it somehow but it requires using a search. So far, Windows 10 is not bringing me any advantages. Perhaps when I have solved the problems, I can begin to learn the new functions. But the main reason I switched is that I am assuming that Microsoft will soon no longer support or publish upgrades of the old operating system. So we have to go forward just to stay in place.

In Windows 7 Ultimate only, there is a hard drive encryption software called BitLocker. Does Windows 10 fully support BitLocker and is it better in Windows 7 than Windows 10 or worse. What are the differences between drive encryption in Windows 7 and Windows 10?

Microsoft’s BitLocker encryption tool has been part of Windows for several versions now, and it’s generally well regarded. However, Microsoft still restricts BitLocker to Professional editions of Windows 10.

If you don’t have a Professional edition of Windows 10, you need to upgrade your Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Professional. And it costs.

Nobody replied to my BitLocker post above. Please give me an answer for BitLocker.

Post in a Windows support forum such as tenforums.com, players here will not be able to help you much.

Upgrading to Windows 10 can cause corruption and glitches on your hard disk. Do not use Windows 10. Just continue to use Windows 7. Windows 7 is much better.

*facepalm* the OS Has nothing to do with any component corruption , i've faced a very-hard-issue with the BIOS , NVRAM Corruption bricked my laptop for nearly 2 months, i had to re-flash my BIOS ( Which is very risky , it might even perma-brick ) in order to fix this issue

Windows 10 including its PC hardware is causing lots of different technical issues that impose trouble to users. If you look back at Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 you will expect to see similar problems. In my opinion, Windows 10 is no improvement. Windows 10 is only another Windows 8 operating system.

If you want to have an operating system and hardware that works perfectly at its best, then use a computer that has a Windows 7 operating system and compatible hardware for Windows 7.

i can see that you just care about the looks and forget about everything else, like DX12 that can achieve console level performance , Compressed RAM that can minimize RAM Usage, performance and power, enhancements just to name a few

so just dont go around saying that there is no improvements

and please, elaborate on these "Technical" issues?

As I said, go to a Windows forum with your rants. Windows 10 has by far the highest adoption rate of all Windows operating systems, so it is very unlikely that you will find people who agree with you on this.

Windows 10 won't upgrade anymore. It is past the 29th of July. Anyone with enough common sense to post this topic would know that.

Someone mind telling me what to do about anniversary update? Worth it?
