Windows 10

Recommended Posts

Hi. I am planning to buy Windows 10 in 5 years time. My post here features complaints that I have so far for the operating system. To begin with, I hate the look of the Apps next to the Start Menu. Please ask Microsoft to move the Apps that are next to the Start Menu to a special system folder called "Apps Gallery", like in Windows 7 where Gadgets are the location in a special system folder on Windows 7 platform, and when you right-click the desktop to bring a small menu.

Windows 10 needs to look, feel and behave exactly like Windows 7, but with, of course, the new technologies, including Apps. Apps belong in a special system folder like the Gadgets of Windows 7. Windows 10 is not yet finished. It will be finished in 5 years time in the year 2021.

Please share this post on the Microsoft forum as well, and spread the word. At the moment, I hate the look and functionality of Windows 10.

Below is a screenshot of the Windows 10 Start Menu:

Please make sure that the Windows 10 Start Menu looks and behaves like the Windows 7 Start Menu.

FIRST POST

Windows 10 is good as long as you get rid of the thing where they track what you do so they can advertise stuff to you. It's really dumb. But otherwise it's amazing.

Windows 10 is in developer preview right now. So Windows 10 will be 100% perfect and completed in 5 years time. The next developer preview shall come out from time to time until the fully finished version of Windows 10 in the next 5 years.

I really hate the look and feel of the Start Menu. Microsoft needs to move all the Apps to a special system folders named "Apps Gallery". The Start Menu must be like in Windows 7, fully customizable with the improvement of Aero Glass Themes as well.

Yeah you need questions you say, yet you are telling us to somehow have us do a makeover on Windows 10, or at least get us to do your work for you. If you fell the need that Windows 10 is not perfect and you have ideas to help it, you can of course share them with Microsoft. No operating system will be perfect, however. Windows 10 is a great operating system. The apps have been like this since Windows 8, to be honest. Also, the OS has been out for quite some time. This could have been mentioned earlier. Furthermore, the problems are likely to be fixed in five years.

That pic of Else on the start menu tho

I think windows 10 is fine just takes some getting used to. Trouble is most don't like change and find it hard at first to find there way around.

Well, Tanki is nobody to talk to Mircrosoft, and tell them that a Player called RIDDLER_8 doesn't like their OS and he wants it modified according to his own needs :D

By 2021 we'll be up to Windows 21. They will keep skipping numbers because they will never be as good as Windows 7. :)

If you want to cling to the past, just stick with Windows 7 and never upgrade. ಠ_ಠ

Err, no it's not. Not sure where you got the 5 year target from either, source please.

I don't think there are any Windows developers browsing the off-topic section of the TO forum. Not everybody here shares your opinions, so perhaps you should be communicating these ideas directly to Microsoft.

Hi. I am planning to buy Windows 10 in 5 years time.

Don't you think that 5 years is a very long period that you ask that question now...? 2021 will not come soon...and by then Microsoft will release at least one operating system after Windows 10.

How much storage space will Windows 10 use on a hard drive?

Windows 10 is the last operating system from Microsoft. There shall never be another version of Windows after Windows 10, "Said Microsoft".

It has now been 30 years that Microsoft is developing Windows.

Windows 1 was made and released in 1985 - Windows 10 first released in 2015.
