EXP for extinguishing and unfreezing

 Share

Recommended Posts

Well, if you didn't know(like many surprisingly), freezes have the ability to heal burns dealt by firebirds, firebirds have the ability to thaw tanks attacked by freeze, and isidas can heal burns and thaw tanks... but why waste your ammo for something that doesn't really benefit yourself?

This is where this topic comes in. Everytime you heal a burn/freeze fully you get 3 EXP. Pretty straight forward. This update can make players aware of these functions close combat turrets have and a reason why people who use these turrets should help a teammate that is on fire or frozen.

Valid

[gmpl] [expr] [wpn]
Suggested before (link), but yeah - good idea. Otherwise Fire and Freeze users don't usually want to waste their energy on defrosting/cooling since they get nothing from it.

thats what separates a pro from a none pro.

I use this abbility as oftem as i can. My team will like me more. How many mammoth vulcans I have saved.... cooled them off and let them live long enough for isida. Freeze effect is hardly found, a shame. I like freeze. But i certainly would warm my team member up if i was firebird.

This would increase awareness of Firebird + Freeze users.

For example, behold the following scenario:

Freeze: shoots randomly, accidentally puts out a mammoth vulcan

Freeze: OMG let me try it again

Freeze: repeats

Freeze: I see now! learns fact

Freeze: Becomes PRO.

Why do people have to be so selfish? Yes, you do waste your ammo and yes, you do not benefit yourself, but you are helping your teammates and that's just as important

But by not wasting your ammo on teammates and using it to kill enemies instead, you are also helping your team... AND you get points for that!

The same goes for isida!

Dont waste your energy on teames and use it to kill enemys instead! You get points for that!

Then why isida can get score if it can remove effects and get xp?

Isida doesn't get score for removing effects. It gets points for healing, but removing fire and frost are just "side-effects" of the heal.

Well thats almost the same!

Isida keeps teamates longer alive,

Freeze removes burning effect= keeps longer alive

fire removes freeze effect=well not sure if it keeps you longer alive...

So, isn't that the idea in this topic then? What are you arguing about?

I have freeze m2 and when i see overheated teammate burning i unburn him and he/she usually thanks me. :)

Don't need an additional EXP for that, but it's funny when your enemy is burning and their freeze doesn't do anything

a) Isida only gets EXP for healing, not  healing burns or defrosting

b ) Although you can't directly die by being frozen, you are still helping a teammate and that deserves some EXP. For instance, you could help make the flag carrier go back to normal speed or unfreeze someone in the middle of Stadium map about to be sniped by 1000 shafts.

I mean I'm a veteran when it comes to Freeze and I still put out fires even though I get pretty much nothing from it(besides making my team better) but still, none-pros/semi-pro players still don't help teammates because of unawareness or ammo usage/greed, which I think is quite a shame because I could make an extremely long and boring list of the times I've been killed by a teammate refusing to help me out.

Nah...

I call it an effort to get free xp

3 xp is not that much really. Compared to how much xp an isida can get for fully healing one tank, this really means nothing.

No it doesn't but it does per-say your team mate has the flag it will make him"un-freeze" faster so he can continue the capture.

I own an m2 freeze, and I like to help my teammates by slowing down an enemies' firebird effects. However, I don't have much of an incentive to do so because I wouldn't gain any experience. Therefore, I would want to kill the enemy instead of helping my friend. I don't know if slowing down the freeze effects with firebird should gain you experience because there is no "burning" like effect from freeze. You just slow down, but with firebird, you still burn even if the firebird was destroyed. Isida already allows you to get exp, so why can't freeze?
