More attractive paints should unlock on higher ranks

I just thought of an idea to make the costumized paints better. Why not make each set of paints without the protections purchasable in certain ranks? That way. Warrant Officer 1 won't be able to get zues's looks and turns out to be having 10% protection from smoky. And maybe put kits of these paints in the garage. like Spark + Sandstone + Atom paints for example. Hope you like my suggestion and possibly take it to consideration :)

Developers already planned to do something like this, so I guess we'll just wait and see. Just to clarify - you're suggesting that more exotic paints are to be made available on higher ranks, right?

In my opinion paints like Lumberjack, Clay and Prodigy look quite lame, while on the other hand the prettiest paints like Spark, Electra, Lava, Alien, Swash, etc. are really cheap and useless at the moment.

Lava. o_O Its the evilest paint of them all, the look in the garage is completely different to the look on the tank. Each to their own I guess. :P

This isn't really the place to suggest new paints, there's another thread in this section for that. It's also worth noting that the separation of paints and protections is likely going to happen soon, so there isn't much reason to suggest protective paints.

 

The protections for your suggested paint seem low anyway- a total of 21% protection. For comparison, Tundra, which unlocks at the same rank, has a total of 50% protection. :)

OK, back on topic. If I'm understanding this correctly, you're thinking about how the paints will be unlocked once paints are separated from their protections, and want to make sure that the paints currently available to higher ranks still keep their prestige by having unlock ranks. I like this idea- the paints could be spaced out every few ranks (or as they are now, maybe) as a milestone/reward for progressing through the ranks, albeit much cheaper than they are now.

Why? Clay is literally the colour of swamp, while Prodigy is only good for camouflage. Neither paint is particularly "flashy", unless you want the paint's camo rating to also affect when it gets unlocked.

Nuba..... clay looks good (looks like pro paint). lumber at first looked like farmer boy style paint and I Didnt like it but its now a good red paint . (My two top paints most used paints... ok, lumber isnt my top used paints but when Im isida hunter against a pair of isida attackers then its really good [though rock is better... I remember in new years i had 3 isidas attacking same time me while I was rock mamy isida, beat them with full health ;)] lol.... sorry about "nuba")

The best on look are (no set order):

Desert rustle digital urban grafitti cherry emerald nano zeus acid (soon mine....TOF VIP dream team)

Maybe that's why developers wouldn't want to rate paints like this. People have different tastes so they might get complaints after the update comes out, saying things like "why is this paint more expensive than this other paint even though it looks much worse?".

I personally dont care how i look.... but i want players to know that i have the good paints (pls have modules in ratings...

No. Tanks in Tanki are like toys, we all know that. But Prodigi gives little "seriousness" and simplicity compared to other "colorful" and conspicuous paints. Both paints, Clay and Prodigi are duplicated real camouflage patterns. Clay is Woodland and Prodigi is ACU camouflage pattern.

Sure, Alien paint? Jaguar paint? Invader paint? Lava paint? Mary paint? Red, blue, black, white, orange paints? Swash paint? Pixel paint? Fracture paint? Sakura paint? Umm, ok. Almost all of the paints available at your rank are more attractive than Storm paint.

The paints' prices are now sorted according to their "attractiveness" and it's very likely that in the next few days any errors relating to the ranks will be fixed, so as you progress through the ranks, the paints you unlock will be more expensive and prettier.
