Kit Review: Vampire kit

Untitled_1.jpg

Disclaimer: I may be only a Sergeant-Major, though I have many other accounts and well over 2 years of experience in Tanki Online. I don't claim to be the best, I just claim to know what I'm doing.

Introduction

The Vampire. What is it exactly? Some of you Generalissimo's may be wonder. Well, Vampire is a kit that unlocks at the rank Sergeant, though without buying crystals you'll probably get it at First Sergeant or Sergeant-Major. So in case you have an alt or a main account at that rank, I recommend getting it :). I'd say it lasts until around WO5. It's a great kit for those who enjoy fast paced and are more satisfied with more healing and capturing objectives instead of killing to earn points.

The Tank

Turret: Isida M1

Isida is a short ranged turret that normally unlocks at Sergeant-Major, but with the kit you can get it at the mere rank of Sergeant :o! It has the ability to heal teammates at the same rate it damages enemies. It also heals your tank 35.29% of the damage you deal when you're attacking. Pair that with the high damage and you have a pretty big force to be reckoned with! The best drug for this weapon is easily Double Damage. It doubles the healing and damage rate of the gun, and Isida's draining affect :o! This really allows it to reach maximum Vampire potential and makes it the best turret in TO with the DD drug B). A good thing to keep in mind when playing with Isida is it's stretch affect. This means once you start damaging an enemy, the normal 15 meter range stretches up to 20 meters! Which makes a huge difference and can be used when circle strafing an enemy :D. Another downside of Isida is that you have to heal teammates and damage enemy's and you only have one ammunition pool to do so. This means you will find yourself running out of ammo quite often.
Overall I give Isida M1: 9/10

Hull: Wasp M1

Wasp is the king of speed. Being the fastest and lightest hull on the battlefield also makes it unstable and easy to knock off its aim. Wasp normally unlocks at the rank First Sergeant. With the kit you can get it at Sergeant. It's by far the best hull for capturing flags and moving quickly from points. Plus it's one of the best choices for Gold Hunting because of its invisible hit box which makes it taller than most tanks and it's light weight and speed which can be used for performing long jumps and getting back on your tracks when flipped on your side. Unfortunately, all of these pros do come with cons. It's the weakest of all hulls on the war zone. If your not careful or good at maneuvering you can be easily flipped and destroyed :(. Wasp is a hull for fast paced gameplay. I recommend practicing turret rotation and maneuvering with the Nitro drug. Over all, Wasp really made the thrilling and action-packed part of this kit for me. Well it takes some getting used to, (especially since I played a lot of Titan :P) it is a heck of a lot of fun. :)
Overall I give Wasp M1: 8/10

Paint: Mary

Mary paint is definitely not as good as Wasp or Isida. The 5% protection against Twins and Smoky may as well not be there. Though 14% against Freeze is vital! Not only does it reduce the freeze affect and let Wasp still have the speed advantage in duels. It also makes you take less damage from the annoying turret. Freeze is very common at this rank as well. Which brings us to another upside other than from looking cool and adding to the Vampire reputation of the kit :P. Mary allows one to go in and out of the enemy's base without any defenders using Freeze stopping you.
Overall I give Mary paint: 6/10

Price

The Vampire kit is very cheap compared to it's fellow M1 kits. Though none-the-less very effective and lethal. For purchasing the kit you get a FREE 30 of each supply bonus! At the normal price it is 19 100 crystals. I however bought it during the Tanki birthday sale for around 15k. Many Sergeants can't afford this kit. However if you win contests or buy crystals, you can get this by Sergeant no sweat! If you can't do any of these things, fear not! I got this kit at Sergeant-Major and it is still OP.
I'd rate the price to efficiency level of this kit: 9/10 without a sale and 11/10 with a sale.

Gameplay

DM:

maxresdefault.jpg

Not much to say here. Vampire doesn't perform too well on DM's. Wasp has low health, low stable ability and high hard to manage speeds. This is not the hull you're looking for on a DM battle. Isida has short range and a small ammo pool. Plus its damage may be excellent, but it is not a well known for this as a Firebird or Hammer. On top of that, there's no tank to heal on DM mode! This takes away the guns most treasured feature. The only good part of the kit for DM's is Mary paint. This is because Freeze's are common on Death Match battles and normally love to team up on you. :(
I rate the Vampire kit: 2/10 on DM mode.
Recommended maps: N/A

TDM:

maxresdefault.jpg

You may be thinking that there's barely a difference between DM's and TDM's with Vampire kit. If so, you are very wrong! This kit does amazing here! You can dart around the map doing a mixture of killing and healing. Unlike DM's, there is plenty of cover and teammates to retreat to :). And you won't be wasting Isida's healing potential! Vampire kit is a great addition to the team on large TDM maps with lots of cover and large teams. Overall the kit works surprisingly well here and should not be underestimated.
I rate the Vampire kit: 9/10 on Team Death Match battles
Recommended maps: Desert, Rio, Polygon, Noise

CP:

wpid-control_points.png

I'll get right to the point. The Vampire kit works quite well on CP mode. Preferably CP modes that have many points. On a map like good ol' Polygon CP, Wasp really struggles due to the heavy fire power on the single Control Point. If you were to do a map like Polygon CP, Island CP, etc. I recommend swapping Wasp out with a heavier hull like Titan (like I did :P). But then you wouldn't have the Vampire kit. The kit works well on CP maps that are large, have lots of cover, and many Control Points.
I rate the Vampire kit: 8/10 on Control Point mode
Recommended maps: Silence, Rio, Iran, Gravity

CTF:

bqs3gs9rqj.jpg

I saved the best for last, Heheheh  :P. Vampire kit is absolutely stunning on CTF! I am lost for words on how good it is here. It's easily one of the best combos on CTF and works well in all CTF maps. This combo can go from lethal little killing machine to capturing flags to healing teammates. The roles Vampire can play on the battle field are endless! Plus, it plays all the roles quite effectively too. I definitely earned the most XP and crystals here with Vampire kit than any other game mode! Every time I did a CTF battle, I came in first :D. If I were going to highlight which game mode this kit excels in, it definitely would be Capture the Flag.
Overall I give Vampire kit a well earned: 10/10 on Capture the Flag mode
Recommended maps: Rio, Noise, Silence, Iran, Polygon and more

Assistant

In my eyes, the Vampire kit is a great sort of "assistant" on the field. You can zip around the warzone with nothing to slow you down. Healing and removing afterburn and freezing affects for all teammates. Capturing flags and control points. Basically, you can do many things and play many roles for your team. This is why I like to think of Vampire as an "assistant". Not only that but you make an amazing flag assistant. This means you help the tanker with the flag safely capture it. The hull allows you to be in many places at once as fast and efficient as possible, Isida gives you the ultimate helpers weapon and one of the most versatile tools in the game and the paint makes it so that nothing can slow you down! :D

Conclusion

To conclude, I really did enjoy this kit. It took me some getting used to because before it I was using Rico and Titan . Once I adjusted to the handling, I was first in every battle except 1, where I came in second. I love the speed when you jump off the Rio building to invade the blue base, I love the feeling when you heal someone just in time to save their life and I love the thrill of the kill when using this fearsome combination. I earned 2k at Sergeant-Major after 1 hour of playing during the ×2 battle funds! After counting every detail and all the factors, I give the Vampire kit a final rating of: 9/10 if bought at Sergeant-Major and 12/10 if bought at Sergeant. This brings us to the end of the kit review. Is Vampire good? No. It's great! I'd like to thank you all for reading this and I hope it helped you in deciding whether to get Vampire or not. This has been BatmanX9, signing off. ;)

Well written! I've been using the Vampire kit on my alt, and my only major point of disagreement with you here would be that Isida (both at that rank and at higher ranks) can be a great offensive weapon since it does deal high damage, too. Just thought I'd post to raise that as an attacking-Isida player xD

So, was it too long or to short. Do you prefer short guides or long ones. What guide would you like to see next, not another kit review though. Tell me please. And thanks for all the positive feedback. If there's one thing that can help this guide, its comments. I love comments, keep it up ;)!

I prefer a novel. The longer the better IMO.

Amazing, I am at the rank where I am choosing what kit to buy, I think vampire is great and all, but I don't like Isida because of the horrible d/l is gives me.. I do not have allot of skill and I have limited drugs so that's two strikes.

I was thinking I should either pick savage (smoky+wasp+magma) or vampire (Isida+wasp+mary)

or buy none and save for a good kit such as Predator

The thing is that tanki used to have great kits such as Mosquito or that kit that contained smoky+viking m2 with winter or even the twins+viking m2 kit.

But I feel now the quality has gone down, now I see kits like Tornado which looks like a terrible ripp-off it almost looks like tanki is trolling you, because why put spark with Tornado when you can put digital! Spark should go with the Juggler kit..

I really don't know what kit to buy I hope that any experienced tanker could guide me. I want to have rail+a light hull m2 so I can join a clan but most of those kits are ripp-offs idk what to do..

I thought I should buy no early m1s and save for predator, but it wont be a while till tankers can easily destroy me.. and my k/d will cripple.

So what are your suggestions? I ask any experienced Tanker  :)

K/D doesnt matter, people call you a noob let them.

Trash them in battles and let them trashtalk :P

My D/L was over 5.00 when I was just WO1 and now its drop down to 1.9 something.

If you keep thinking like that you will have a very slow gameplay and rank slow with low crystals.

Will read in a min and first my thoughts on this kit I have it on my alternative account @Total_SkiIl without buying I got it at the rank of staff Sergeant and I have a quite satisfactory experience with it as an m1 at this rank is quite OP as I am mostly facing M0s or M1 Firebirds the self heal is amazing and I use it on my Viking M0 though as it gives more stability and more health, speed doesn't matters, the Kit has earned me quite a few thousand Crystals which are good! xD.

You got it at Staff-Sergeant! :O How did you do it? Glad to see your enjoying the kit. :) Keep on ruling battles! ;)

Well-written and nicely done, but I think I'd prefer the new Savage kit, the price of both Smoky and Wasp M1 but includes both AND a neat paint?

Even if I only use the Smoky or Wasp, that's still two for the price of one.

I was tempted to buy it as my Favorite combo is Wasp + Smoky. Didn't buy as I am saving for more OP kits.

Such as...?

What's more OP than two M1s when people are still unlocking M0 equipment?

This little part is pretty redundant, and also I would suggest getting somebody else to proofread for your- there were quite a few grammar errors scattered throughout. I was also confused on the context of the pictures you used for each game mode. It would make much more since to get screenshots of you using the actual kit, or even pictures of the final scoreboard and how you placed in each.

But still you got a bunch of views, so good job.

Disclaimer: I may be only a Sergeant-Major, though I have many other accounts and well over 2 years of experience in Tanki Online. I don't claim to be the best, I just claim to know what the hell I'm doing.

Me: Ok Good, this might mean no false info! *gets his hope up*

Isida also heals your tank 50% of the damage you deal when you're attacking.

Me: *newfound hope dies* No No No! -_- It is not half -_-. It is whatever the self healing % is of the gun, something that increases every modification and every microupgrade. M0 has 32.94%, M1 has 35.29%, M2 has 38,82% and M3 has 42.94%. M4 has 50% but only M4, not M1, and its not a static value.

. I don't claim to be the best,

Me: Good, you shouldn't

, I just claim to know what the hell I'm doing.

Me: you shouldn't claim that either...

Don't take this too cold, but you did need to be told....

Harsh feedback -_-. It's okay, :) I'll try and fix the mistakes. (I can't fix pictures though, sorry Jwimmer) Thanks!

So, if you don't mind me asking, what is the highest rank you've gotten to?
