Tankers!

 

It's time to announce the time and locations for our Welcome Tanki gatherings!

 

As many of you already know, the winners for the Russian version of the “Welcome Tanki” contest were the tankers from Yerevan, Armenia. The gathering in Yerevan will be happening on the 6th of August, in the Victory Park at 5:00pm local time.

 

The English version of the contest was won by the tankers in Tbilisi, Georgia. The gathering there is scheduled for Sunday, the 7th of August in Rike Park, at 5:00pm local time.

 

Both events will be hosted by Russian V-LOG host Kasim, our editor Nikolay, and Cedric, the English Community Manager. So, if you prefer English over Russian, or the other way round, you’re covered!

 

If you live close to either one of those two cities, make sure you join this awesome event!

Tankers!

 
A month ago, we asked you to create a video inviting the Tanki Online team to your city.
 
The cool thing is that the winning entry for the International Community, and the winning entry for the Russian Community are practically neighbours, so we’ve decided to hold the meetups on the 6th and 7th of August, and both Kasim (for the Russian Community) and Cedric (for the International Community) will be present.
 
Here’s what you can expect at the meetups:

• An open and live discussion about “Tanki Online” and “Tanki X” topics.
• Live Q&A sessions
• Giveaways and raffles with branded Tanki souvenirs and Tanki X closed beta keys.
• A chance to win an iPad

Ok, enough talking. It’s time to announce the winning cities! Here they are!
 
For the International Community, the winning city is Tbilisi, Georgia with this video:
 

 
And for the Russian Community, the winning city is Yerevan, Armenia with this video:
 

 
We’ll be visiting Yerevan on the 6th, and Tbilisi on the 7th. The exact times and locations for the events will be announced at a later date.
 
We can’t wait to meet you all on our road trip, and look forward to a fun chat and giving out some cool gifts. Remember, there are also two iPads (one for each city) up for grabs, so make sure you try your best to join the event!

Tankers!
 
If you’ve always wanted to attend an official meetup with the Tanki Online team and winning an iPad, that opportunity is about to come knocking at your door with the “Welcome Tanki” contest, which offers you the chance to invite the TO Community Managers to your city.
 
What you need to do
 
Gather a team (the bigger the better) of Tanki players in your city and record an awesome video inviting the Tanki Online team to your city.
 
But remember, Tanki players are spread in cities all over the world, so you’ll be facing some tough competition! You will need to be very persuasive! Get us super excited by showing us the coolest places, and most importantly, the enthusiasm of the group of tankers that’s waiting for us in your city.
 
Once the submissions close, we will look at all the videos, choose the best one, and start preparing to organize a Tankers Meeting in the winner's city. The event will be held in mid-August.
 
Criteria of evaluation

• Number of tankers in the video
• Recording and editing quality
• Quality of the script
• Humour

Rules

• The video must be published on Youtube
• The video must be submitted using the special form
• The video must not be longer than 3 minutes
• Videos that do not respect the above rules will be automatically disqualified.

We recommend you use the Conversation Clubs section on the forum to organize your team.
 
Dates

• The deadline for video submissions is July 22nd at 11:00 UTC.
• The winners’ city will be announced on July 29th.
• The date of the meetup will be held in mid-August (date to be announced).

Does the rank of the person matter? You could in theory get a bunch of your irl friends to make accounts then make the video, then you guys show up at the event and there is only one or two people there...haha.

i live in india...in suri, west bengal,.....and i bet my whole tanki career on it, there is not a single person in this rotting 'city'(which consists of about 1 lakh people)who plays an awesome something-more-than-an-game,-its-an-community called tanki online. u know how it feels? it feels like punching million of wholes thorugh a particular guy, then hammering billions of nials in him, then sucking the blood from him, then asking thor to send thunders which bounce of walls, and then shooting him with laser guns, then burn and freeze him, then get his twin and torcher him the same way, and then ending them in smoke and killing them with machine gun!
