Best combo of hulls and turrets in a Generalissimo battle in Polygon CP?

Recommended Posts

What would the 8 players be equipped with?

I'd say at most 2 turrets with thunder with mammoth/titan

3 Max with twins and titan/mammoth.

1-2 Ricos with mammoth/Titan

1-2 Firebirds with viking/titan

1-2 freeze with viking

1 hammer

2 max vulcans.

1 isida

So in theory I would be happy with a team of

1 thunder

2 twins

2 firebirds

1 rico

1 vulcan

1 freeze/hammer.

I like titan m3 better than mammoth m3.

Assuming equipment is m3.5 - m4 because m4s are only for the >1%  :P

What is your team?

Oh, please. 4 Viking-Isidas and 4 Mammoth-Vulcans. Until these two monster combos are nerfed, they can win literally any battle.

Paints are a thing right?

1 viking-freeze with rock to keep enemy fattyes and isidas out of middle

2 twins-titan or mammoths with rock and africa to keep the middle.

2 vulcan-mammoths with zeus and lumber to support the twins from varying distances. Trying to stay on places with lots of ground on sight

1 titan-smoky or rico with zeus to take the place of 1 of the twins if it dies, and keep some variety, to make enemies make hard paint choises

2 isida-vikings with raccoons/ other paints depending on enemy, to keep the fattyes on point alive

If there are no paints (totally happens), then yeah, just isidas and vulcans, and maybe a twins.

Viking-Isida's and Mammoth-Vulcans; easy win.

Unless if the enemy is using them aswell ofcourse.

Then they could always consider using Twins instead of Vulcan on a few of the tanks. ^_^

True, although I wouldn't mind the extra range + an Isida backing me up to the surpress burning. icon_mrgreen.gif

Plus vulcans aim can't be knocked off due to the gyroscope, and it's harder to hit your target with twins thanks to the slow projectiles, so twins are only more effective than vulcan(if you have an isida with you) in a few rare cases, or if your vulcan isn't very good and the twins is a pro :)

And that is exactly why it's not the best tank to use. A team full of gold hunters won't win a battle.

Exactly, dictator is good for catching golds, not so much for winning battles, which are actually more profitable...

True what he just said

But I think titan and smokey m4 would be OP there

Vulcans are far worse on short distance, in poly cp that would mean the point. Vulcan turns slowly and has lower dpm (http://tnkscr.net/AY1jrS.jpg (doesn't include delay b4 firing)), making it unable to handle enemies from many sides as effectively as smoky, rico or twins. Vulcan can't use any good twins or vulcan paints, because they don't have fire prot, making it extremely vulnerable to enemy twins, and other vulcans. Vulcan has delay before it starts firing, making it vulnerable to spawncamping, expesially from guns like rico and hammer, which vulcan is rarely protected against and can force vulcan to use it's health kit without taking any damage in return.

In poly cp having fat hulls on point is essencial, points can't be held by vikings or dicos in gene battles.

What i am saying is: Vulcans aren't as good for holdin the point, and that is essencially the MOST important role in poly cp, they are slow and vulnerable while getting to the point, and too slow, weak and unprotected to hold it against powerful enemies.

Good point...

I wasn't so much thinking about CP as CTF, in which case they would mostly camp.

Isida is totally OP for that prize. Two, three Isidas/Vikings = recipe for disaster.

Nope. Dictator doesnt win battles in generelissimo battles. In polygun use:

Titan Isida × 2

Hammer viking x 2

Railgun hornet x 2

vulcan mammoth x1

twins mammoth x 1

A single Titan-Railgun on Monte Carlo can shift the odds, depending on how good at peek-a-boom said TItan is.

And if the enemy tries switching to Mammoth-Railgun or something truly stupid they're easier to kill.

Look at you guys analyzing combos and stuff. The team with more M4s will always win, end of subject :D

Not that easy if both teams have the same amount of m4s.. Then it all comes down to having the right m4s.

:/ M4 is OP. The speed of a medium hull the health of a heavy? No wonder Titan took its place in TX.

I guess its just a personal choice but I win almost all my battles with it.
