In the video that DejectedTomato showed. That hacker is OMG!!! Thats an awfull thing. To be true, over my entire career, ive encountered very few hackers. None of them were more than mults as they were not effective players. (I might be playing wrong maps.)

Between my mid rank and generallismo I played hours a day.... 4 hours I think. For the past year its been 4 hours a week at most due to lack of time. Have these crimes increased over the past year?

The most I've seen are jump hacks and ones that flip you back over.

I class that as an abuse of moderation powers and that is another reason why people leave this game.  Your post saying that you've played for 6 years and never come across a hacker is definitely trolling but somehow acceptable. I think this is hypocritical.

I've taken the time to gather facts and figures and present them in a graph. I make a serious points and you say i'm trolling. Do you have any meaningful response that will allay the situation? No you don't. Like Hazel & Cederic, you respond to the easy replies and ignore the tough questions - that's pretty telling.

Well the numbers in the graph, simple as they maybe, are telling me that too many are giving up on tanki and their meaningless assurances. The game has stagnated and year in year out players moan about the things that are driving them away and you do nothing meaningful about it.  Face it, you lot in tanki are full of hot air and tanki is not growing, it's shrinking. You must fail your attrition targets every day.

 

And you can blame it on the time of year if you want but the fact of the matter is you fail the players here time and time again. Mults, saboteurs, non-triers etc spoil games constantly and your lack of action will be your downfall. You may have benefited from them in the short-term but they'll be the death of you.

 

What have you done since you retracted that daft kick system? Nada, nothing, zip...

I have reported him/her and it worked - an admin did what (s)he should in a few hours (I was surprised!). You can try reporting T.J as well.

 

I hope that T.J will think twice (at least) before removing users' content next time.

Well if your not a sad old man who spends all his time drugging and buying to win games then fair play!  this game has  seen a dramatic decrease from 110k to barely reaching 50-60k a day at peak during the weak? 

 

well of 3 reasons?!

 (1)  hackers...never changes some noob jump hacks or uses speed.. Hate hackers? Play with friends.

(2)  ah the buyers literally come into the game and everyone has been fed up being cannon fodder and quit Hate buyers? Play with friends.

(3)mults?! deliberate accounts used on enemy team just to take up place! today alone i was in a battle 8v10 where there was only 2 of us moving on the team it was laughable! Hate mults? Play with friends.

Yes, but friends do have their different timezones. You can't always play with friends all the time, any hour you want.

Yes, but friends do have their different timezones. You can't always play with friends all the time, any hour you want.

I believe that Taki's foremost aim is to increase revenue at the very least try to compensate for the huge dip in membership.  the new paint module system  with digital foe paint threat recognition, is designed to create stress and anxiety.  There in numbers Tankers will see before their eyes the inadequacy of their rigs and splash out cash to up the anti.  It will be hoped that a new cold war with increasing arms sales will be driven by feelings of inadequacy and anxiety.  The paint system to Tanki is very much more important than tackling mults.  It is just short sighted economics.

This game in its basic form is a very good game.  It is just becoming overly complicated and manipulated to make more money.  In reality it is probably at a guess making less because of the decline.  People pay good money for all the mu, paints, hulls, turrets. and supplies to see them diminished in worth after a very short time.  Their is no permanency.  I disappear for months at a time because I am hacked off.  I will wait to see what the latest year plan turns out to be but it does not look good.  Even greater indulgence in exploiting our privacy.  Displaying every detail of what you have bought for your tank.  Statistics on players performance.  They must spend countless hours reinventing the wheel.  Oh well.

April, 2013 they announced Team kick in update 138. It didn't last a year and it was dropped because it was it wasn't up to scratch. It's been over 2 years since Semyon Kirov told us about the good news, "is that we are already planning a new mechanism that will be as flawless as possible."

 

So when I say false assurances, hot air, etc... it is not me being argumentative or negative for the sake of it. I say them because it's true and I can back up my claims with facts.

 

Tanki don't like this but there you are. They bring criticism on themselves.

They're also trying to squeeze more money out of a smaller pool of players which in turn make the pool even smaller. The paint module update is an update trying to make buyers buy more protections. The recent garage update is also one that make players easier to buy weapons on accidental clicks. All contributes to bad feelings among players. Well I am a buyer.  I am not happy the way they keep mucking around with equipment that I have bought in good faith.  I am extremely unhappy with the proposed monitoring system just as I was very unhappy about the introduction of personal profiles.  What I spend my money on is between me and the seller and is not their business divulging that information to the public and other third parties.

Wow, this is indeed true...

 

That reminds me that Semyon also said something about lowering EN crystal prices to make it fair towards International players, I guess they also "Forgotten" it. The new CM is keeping a tight lid on this...

 

But now Semyon is gone, I'm not sure if previous promises will be kept now. :unsure:

I doubt that they will ever seriously tackle mults and other cheating.  The game chat some days is absolutely obscene, with sexual comments threat blatant sexual comments, misogyny, innuendo and racism.  I doubt that at times it is even being monitored because of the flood of banable words is huge.  They pass the software by misspelling or leaving gaps or using acronyms.

 

I also doubt that we will receive a fair deal on prices either.

For one I'd have someone to deal with it.

Quantity and quality go better together, and I'd have less stupid restrictions like "It has to be a video of X length.".

Or, I'd prevent the hacks altogether the best I could.

The punishments for any of the crime mults etc are hardly a deterrent.  Their does seem to be a reluctance to deal with game spoiling.  Their is far too much emphasis on the reporting player meeting the exact requirements and even then the culprit often walks free.  This is a tanki problem and Tanki aught to sort it.  they could make filming available on site without the need for downloading additional software.  Instead they spend more effort in making unpopular changes to the game.  This is more than a moderator failing.  It is true , their are not enough of them and perhaps it is not under their control to change things but they can report massive unhappiness within the playing community to the powers that be.  It is not just the game its self but the language from game chat is often not controlled and at times al sorts of swearing, misogyny, sexual innuendo, racial slurs and so on go by without any reproach or penalty.

Tanki is focusing on changing gameplay over trying to reduce mults. The game is great if players would play it properly.

 

I think its right to announce that we want Tanki Online to:

Tanki can do a whole lot to deal with saboteurs and non-triers. There is no end of simple yet effective measures that can be taken. The trouble is, tanki doesn't want to deal with them. They say they do but they don't as their record on this speaks for itself. They recognise there is a problem because they would never have introduced team kick in the first place, but they've done nothing since removing it.

 

Fines, would be a good start. Try taking crystals from accounts of those who offend. None of this silly 1 day ban business. Kick2 or something similar that works from time in the game and contribution. Display fps or ping to show that when a player magically flips himself back upright and their average ping, (over 5 seconds), is only 17, lag can't be blamed. And that's just off the top of my head. Tons have been suggested by all the communities but zero action.

 

The official line from tanki is silence and don't address difficult questions. Only dismiss the easy ones like banning ip's. All this is very tiresome and repetitive. 

 

I can guarantee one thing right now - I won't even try tanki - x when it comes out. I'm not going down that road again. Nobody cares.

A system of increasing fines and increasing lengthy band for serial offenders would be good.  Together with proving filming capability for the sole recording of offenders onlThe y would show serious intent. 

 

The auto destruct for climbing penalizes players in normal game play and needs redeveloping or deleting.
