[Declined] Increase Damage for Thawing/Cooling Enemy Tanks

Recommended Posts

Logic: Currently, if there is a Firebird and a Freeze killing a tank, both their effects cancel each other out, which is why people usually don't have Firebirds and Freezes on the same team. My idea is that when a tank is burning (from the Firebird effect) the damage of Freeze is increased varying on how great the burning effect is on the tank. For example, if a tank was under the maximum burning damage for Fire M4, then a Freeze thawing it would do double damage, decreasing until it thawed completely. (So if a tank was 75 percent burning, Freeze would do 75 percent more damage). This logic applies to real life too, as rapid freezing/burning of metal does heavy damage to it.

Declined.

Actually, burning and freezing effects don't cancel each other. Because the amount of damage you deal to a Tank and the amount you heat/freeze it depends on how far you're from the enemy and so the only time they TRULY cancel each other is when the Firebird and Freeze are exactly the same distance form the enemy and they both burnt and froze him for the exact same time. So your idea would do nothing but upset the game balance.

On a side note, heating and cooling metals in real life, what is known by "Quenching" is actually used to strengthen metals.
