So today, I got banned for a day on my alt for saying 'stfu' to a guy who was sharing accounts.

 

Also, a few days ago, my post was edited because I said 'af'

Oh, and the game treats the word 'screw' and some other words like that as profanity. Much logic, wouldn't you say so?

 

I mean, like, seriously, mate, Tanki needs to stop acting like everyone here is a 6 year old kid.

Let's admit it, we all (at least, most of us) use these abbreviations, right?

 

Oh, and I wouldn't be surprised if this topic title was edited to remove 'BS' from it -.-

Not arguing nor insulting k. Search google for meanings of "Lmfao" and "Stfu" and read game rulez then its clearly stated that Profane abbrebiations are prohibited.

The whole idea is to make tanki minor-friendly, the game rules clearly state that the use of adult vocabulary is prohibited. Just keep the chat clean.

Well, it can be too late for parents to teach because they would have insulted someone by that time in school and the punishment will be given as no school or anyone else's parents won't want to get insults or profanity. Not all minors are aware what these abbreviations mean. Just google Stfu and be happy that you are wrong.

And then what? Those scoldings teach you..Maximum life experiences are taught by those scoldings only..and remembering them when you grow up, is fun..:p

..and the 'scolding' griefs get vanished within a few days..no kid actually takes small scoldings to heart..:p

The rules on bad language are perfectly reasonable.  The main reason is because minors use this site.  Their are many here, covering a broad range of ages of people, that do not particularly want to see it or hear it either.   Its use it in the written form, abbreviation or not, is not the norm however one may speak at home or in company of ones peers.  To put such into writing is a deliberate action and not a custom of speech.  People who abbreviate it here are just chancing their luck in a cowardly way trying to circumvent rules that are designed to preserve some sort of decency.

I could not agree more. Tanki mods are getting way to far as far as Censorship.like awhile back i got banned for calling someone a Jerk :mellow:

 

Yet people in game swear 24/7 and nothing gets done about that

It's not censorship, it's called common sense. As several people already noted here, there are rules to be followed and there are minors we have to think about. If you wanna swear in the privacy of your own home, in front of your friends or in front of your parents, so be it. It's up to them how they'll like or react to that. But when you're somewhere where you are constantly (and quite polite I'd say) reminded to mind your language and talk with respect to others, you just need to follow those guidances and all will be well. 

 

And please, if you have any issues with your ban contact admins in charge in the future, forum is not a place for discussions of that sort.
