Paint Separation Update

kk i just got back from lunch thats why i never got to read above statements.. thanks

ok just to clean my mind a bit..

so if i have paint in my garage with O protections this will now be able to be added protection what ever i want

the paints i have with protection ( upgraded )  this will now be carried on with those paints and if i want more or different protections this will now cost me in crystals ..

and the new paints will be with O  protection will  be allowed to add or buy protections for them randomly..

Either I don't understand you or you got it all wrong.

Paints are completely untied from their protections. You will be able to combine any existing set of protections you have now with any paint you have now. And if you want more paints or more sets, you will need to buy them.

You can't just create new modules out of thin air - you can only buy ones available at the shop.

Paints which already don't have any protection (like Green) will stay as they are. You will not get a module from them.

All paints will have zero protection whether you already bought them or will buy them after tomorrow. You don't "add protections" to them, you just combine any paint with any module and using a paint together with a certain module does NOT attach that paint to the module forever.

This update wont affect me :) xp/bp

Parkour too :P

It actually does affect you. In a very positive way. You will ow be able to use absolutely any paint with protection on it, so for example if now you want to use Needle on Hornet M3 and can't do it because of Rail protection, after the update you will be able to wear it.

Premium paints will be stripped of their protections and will remain purely as Paint Elements. These premium paints will not give you a Protection Module. This also applies to other special paints such as Helper, Champion, Silver and Veteran (where required, these protections will be added by the administration as needed).

Read this again - the decision to remove protections from special paints is not final - it's possible that the appropriate modules will be added back later (not for Premium paint, though).

Don't do this or give us refund. You are really going to ruin the game just to earn more money.

How will protection be decided for players with multiple paints that currently offer protection against the same turret?

eg.

Dragon has 30% against Ricochet and

Vortex has 15% against Ricochet

Which level of protection will the player end up with against Ricochet? 30% of 15%. To be fair it should be the highest among all the paints in the garage.

What about the crystals? If I don't want powerful protections, will the price falls?

As said in the first post, some prices will go up and some will go down. To be determined later :)

Think bringing out this new update is silly at the moment. Just been in a game and everyone got disconected got back into lobby and every one saying about lag. guys coming over from en3 and saying they are having problems. Maybe sort out the problems with lag and disconections before bringing out a big update.

You really have to criticise everything that Tanki does for us, dont you?

If by criticizing, you mean not eating everything they are trying to feed me, then yeah I will. This game lacks simple things. They act like they care about player's opinions, when they clearly don't. Instead of useless, income-concentrated updates, they should go and fix their servers. Maybe. ;)

I don't get this. You can only equip 1 paint and 1 module.

I have no clue what you just said :P But I'll try to explain.

For each paint you have (not special eSport paints), you will get a module containing that paint's protections, whatever they may be. And these modules will contain the microupgrades you have too.

So if you have a paint that protects from Rail, Fire and Freeze 30% (for example), and you microupgrade it to 50% Rail, Fire and Freeze, you will get a single module that contains 50% from Rail, Fire and Freeze. This goes for every single paint you have ( except special eSport paints.

I think you can have maximum of 3 protections, but you can choose which ones.

No, you can actually have a maximum of 4 protections. Apparently, the paint and modules are bought separately which means it's pointless to buy any new paint UNLESS this means you can have a maximum of 7 protections on one paint if the original paint's protections were not diminished and you decided to get one paint with different protections from its module. Can you or anybody else please explain?

my more concern is the paints which have been fully upgraded  ..//  will i now have to buy more upgrading on those protections that went with them or what ... i do understand if i want to change one or more it will cost me and can we still upgrade those ones..

once you have there protections upgraded say we get them all would we be able to use anyone on any paints..

also what will happen on the protections upgraded on other paints would the protection for say rail on paint be added to the other rail paints and be used on that rail protection

That's something I don't quite understand either. Apparently the level of protection will be the same for all turrets in every module, so all new modules might start at, let's say 15% from all turrets, and after 35 MU steps you will be able to upgrade it to 50% from all three turrets. At least that's what I got.

The question now is, what happens when a paint like Prodigy has very different protections - do all 4 become the same as the highest protection (50% from rail), or do they somehow get reduced to a more average level. That much I do't know, so I don't want to make any guesses which might turn out to be wrong tomorrow.

this is what i was saying for the whole time..

also what will happen on the protections upgraded on other paints would the protection for say rail on paint be added to the other rail paints and be used on that rail protection

for example i have say 30% protection upgraded fully

then i have say.... 45% protection on clay

would all those protections be combined in to one % on say rail / insida / thunder ..in separate modules

or do we loose all out upgraded protection

i do understand what paints we have stay but more what happens to the upgraded and the % all ready paid on them will they be removed or added to new units / modules

Current paints has 2 different aspects: Look and Protection. From now on, they will be completely detached from each other, they will be under 2 different Garage windows. You have a fully MUed Clay? Then you will get Clay's look and a module with 50% from Rico, Rail and Thunder.

And I doubt there is anyone who understands what's happening rn.

So one paint can only have 3 protections? Does that mean Africa won't be the same paint anymore? OR......am I allowed to have all the protections on the paint I already have, but I can still add module protections to that paint? (7 protections total or is it 3 protections on 1 paint, but the paint itself has no protections without the modules?)

If a paint you already have in your garage has 4 protections - it will turn into a 4-protection module tomorrow. You will not be able to buy a 4-protection module separately tomorrow, or add a fourth slot to any of the existing protections.

I'm like so lost and confused lol

Ask and we'll try our best to answer.

Yes, after the update, the maximum number of protections per module will be 3. Meaning you can buy modules that have a maximum of 3 protections.

If you bought Africa BEFORE the update, you will get a module that has Africa's protections as well as a standalone Paint (no protection). You can equip the Africa module to any other paint, and you can equip any other module to the Africa paint. But they will not stack up, you won't be able to add a 3-protection module and a 4-protection module to Africa and get a paint that has 7 protections. 1 module per paint. HOWEVER, AFTER the update, you WON'T be able to buy Africa's module, it will become a legacy module and only the people that bought it before the update will have it.
