Paint Separation Update

Wow $14....Damn you've got me beat by far.......... Are you joking ?? I've spent over $400... again put yourself in our shoes, I have friends who spent thousands here...we paid for something and now we're getting it cut short. Anyway don't worry about seeing those "overpowered" premiums again, who would still be stupid enough to buy it !

To you it's my money and you couldn't care less, to me I see that I worked almost 2 hours for that premium account, specifically for the paint which may I remind you I am NOT still getting with the purchase after tomorrow. Not sure where you got your $14. Now do you see why we're complaining? It's not only me complaining, surely you noticed ?

Personally, I don't care for this update.

 

!)...It takes away more of what little skill there is left.

 

2)...When I first started reading the announcement, I was thinking you could choose the paint and protection you wanted. That would confuse other players who know their paints, thus, adding a surprise element. I thought that was a great idea. But then I read, all you have to do is press "R" with the tank in your sights to discover the protection. That's where you lost my interest.

 

3)...So, you're sitting there with the "R" pressed and meanwhile, you're tank is becoming Swiss cheese. If you have to have that tank in your sights or pointing at the other player, then you can't go to a safe place to do the inquiry. That part might be ok, assuming that while the "R" is pressed, you make yourself immobile and unable to shoot. That might earn me a couple kills.

 

4)... This could become a huge distraction, not only for the other team, but for yours, too. They'd be too busy trying to figure out whether or not to tangle with another tank.

 

5)...In a battle like DM or TDM, you won't have time to do all that, anyway.

 

In conclusion, I like the idea of picking the paint and protection, but the rest is nothing but a distraction and adds no skill to the game at all.

If you had an account of our type rank, you would see no one complaining about premium...at your rank maybe they do, I'm not sure ! Your ranks seem to complain about everything. About my complaining, I started complaining because you think this is such a good update, maybe it is for your rank...for us it's bad.

Glad to see developers still have fresh ideas, but paints are important and I prefer the old way.

Nothing we can do about it. There was a massive uproar following the introduction of Premium, but it turned out to affect only a small handful of us.

But this time, it affects all of us, and if you were making a new game and changed the plan of the paints, that'd be cool but this isn't really that great.

 

But it's a really good thing that premium users lose their 15% protection. It is actually pretty decent, not some noob paint.

 

Just calm down, use your green paint, and combine it with Zeus, k? This might not be as bad at it seems, give it a damn chance.

Some comments about my post:

- Pointing out the reaction is similar to premium but we were overreacting last time

- But maybe it's different this time, could be way worse than premium

- Buyers are slightly less OP (maybe)

- Visual paints useless though

You wont get it back, They will make you pay for it. Its the only reason the paint module thing has been released so they can do a special paint once a week and charge people who want it 50k +

Isn't it illegal to bet, especially for those underage? Spending 10K crys picking a team so you can get a 5/2 odds payout? Sounds like betting to me.

Also, it would be nice to know the reason this being done. I still see tons of server issues that can be fixed, yet tanki keeps making these new things. Sure they might make the game more interesting, but should'nt things like server lag be more of a priority than changing up how paints work?

If paints are not reduced in price, then  people will essentially be buying the same product twice (A paint and a module instead of just a paint that contains inherently contains protections). As a result, more people will have to buy crystals to compensate. But I really don't know much when it comes to how things will be priced, so I'm sure someone with that knowledge could disprove this little theory of mine.

Now, this is a reasonably nice update, but it is not worth the effort.

 

Given this incredible effort and emphasis placed on it, there has to be a lot more than meets the eye to it, and, from my experience, that has to be bad. We'll soon find out what it is.
