Paint Separation Update

The best thing you can do about all this mess is: bring back the old paints system ASAP. Then keep working on the protection modules stuff. The basic idea is good. You just need to work on prices and some issues with protection displays in battles I described earlier.

 

You said that the modules will not be customizable. But that's if they work as they do now - all protections in modules are of the same level. What about allowing us to combine any protections for the price of their efficiency? For example, if I want protection from turrets X, Y and Z, I can put them into one module (and swap with different ones at will), but the first one (primary protection) has a cap of 50% protection (agains X), the second one (secondary protection has a cap of 42.5% (against Y) and the last one (tertiary protection) has cap of 35% protection (against Z)?

 

Another problem is the old ("legazy") 4-turret protection modules. They are not longer available, which is unfair. I was writing about it 2 weeks ago, got no response. Many people are complaining about it now. I doubt you will change your mind on this matter, but please conisder at least selling special 4-turret protection modules (maybe with a lower cap for all, e.g. 40%) on some special occasions, like Christmas to give us just a bit more equal chances.

What's going on with some of the prices on the paints?! Black smith paint used to be 99k and came with a set of protections. Now it doesn't and the price has shot up to 225k?!? what? How does that even make sense??

NO NO ABSOLUTELY NOT! 

 

What fool would buy Zeus.... with absolutely no protection for 500k, instead of buying a useful XT weapon??? Plus, all the "Protection Modules" at my rank cost the price of Zeus... and they don't even protect for as much! Plus... the garage loading sucks..... 

 

Just make it visible to see paint modules in battle, no need to change game balance.

Ironically, i was going to buy zeus a few months ago but i decided to get rock and lumberjack

It doesn't make any sense. That's why most players are upset and wrote 50 pages in this thread today.

Why not make stuff easy i know u can only IGNORE this but u cant reply

 

Make a Poll Using on this topic or make a google form (incase u make google form please be honest) with the heading " Do you like the update " and 2 options "Yes" or "No" This poll will remain till 48 hours after 48 hrs if the majority likes the update , it can stay and if the majority dislikes the update , give us back the previous version

 

 

P.S this will make things fair and square u cant argue u can only ignore this!

Ok, listen then.

1. This update completely ruins balance-Buyers already had an advantage and that's fine. But there were combos like Twins+Fire which people couldn't protect from. And now it's gone. Buyers have just became invincible.

2. XP/BP in the future is ruined. No more 10% rail paint, those who didn't buy Emerald, Corrosion or Forester in the past will have to play without protection.

3. Light Format (if you even know what it is) is ruined. The 46% Rail and the 48% Smoky paint made it right balanced. And guess what? It's gone.

4. The game is more complicated. If you tell me that you know how much protection do these players have here, I will give you a cookie. And adding an extra key is something that everyone wanted to avoid.

 

And I will make one for the money-orientated devs:

1. Non-buyers or those who spend less money on this game will quit Tanki as we stand no chance in normal battles from now on. My garage was really decent, full m3, all the good paints and MUs on everything. But it's all useless now.

2. Buyers will buy most of the modules. And then what? If all of them buys the modules, it's like none of them bought anything.

3. Buyers will stop buying as it's not needed anymore.

4. Buyers will quit Tanki as there will be nobody to defeat.

 

 

This update is the real Tankipocalypse.

It could be good update, just revising prices of visuals and modules (for 200/300k until yesterday you could have powerful/beautiful paint, now you need a lot more).

 

So false that you took the most popular paints and made them very expensive... i think at Alien, from 18k to 150k is the example.

Hi everyone,

 

Quick update about what will be happening to the Champion, Silver, Bronze, Acid, Star and Helper Paints.

 

The current owners of these paints will be receiving Protection Modules as follows:

 

  • Owners of the Champion Paint will receive a module with 25% resistances against all turrets and mines
  • Owners of the Silver Paint will receive a module with 20% resistances against all turrets and mines
  • Owners of the Bronze Paint will receive a module with 15% resistances against all turrets and mines
  • Owners of the Acid Paint will receive a module with 20% resistances against all turrets and mines
  • Owners of the Star Paint will receive a module with 15% resistances against all turrets and mines
  • Owners of the Helper Paint will receive a module with 20% resistances against all turrets and mines

Important points to note:

 

Before the update, the Champion, Silver, Bronze, Acid and Helper paints were temporarily awarded to players who held a specific position or status in the game (e.g. eSports champion or Helper), and were removed from a player’s garage once that player no longer held that status or position.

 

The corresponding Protection Modules mentioned above will work in exactly the same way. Once the player’s special status is removed, the corresponding special Protection Module will also be removed from that player’s garage.

 

Over the next 24-48 hours, we’ll be going through the player database and assigning these special Protection Modules to current owners of these paints.

ok i hate to complain about tanki after playing this game for nearly 5 years .But why is the lag incresed i got a 20mbs internet connection and a laptop with an i7 and a gtx840m nvidia plus 8gb ram and still tanki lags its very difficult to play battles take hours to load pls fix this this is one of my worst experience in tanki

Very good update and really balanced. every protection paint goes up to 50% and u can make any combination you want. And if you wanna give crystals for the image of your tank you can just go ahead and buy an image paint that gives nothing more but appearence.

The  Old system will not come back now . There will be changes on existing one now .

 

Module system is a diffrent thing of that you are thinking

 

we cant wait to buy protection in some occassions .

How did this topic shoot up by 50 pages from yesterday?

 

The prices are ridicoulously unbalanced, it was never mentioned in the past few weeks that the prices of the paints would also be adjusted to thier looks rather than their protection modules, its not too late to make improvements

We should have some police lights on the hulls and some horns when we buy a camouflage paint. When you press R this must highlight our tank on the map like it is going to rank up over and over.

We also need a button "seek and destroy". When i type someones nickname I may see on the map some arrows indicating the shortest way to seek that tank, and if you can,  highlight the suggested gun (according to my garage) to kill him more efficiently (his lowest protection).

 

We need to get rid of the pickups. ( no speed , no double , no gold box).

please . tanki please stop playing with us ..  this is all for generalissimos .. what about low rankers what about who cant afford the money to buy crystals .. please do some pity n low rankers and high rankers mults .. please remove this update as soon as possible or i am not gonna play  this game .. i know  there will be no such or any differnce i ll make if i left tanki , but you should know that  a sea is created by drop by drop .. bye/
now i will only play this game when this update will be removed .....

Not a single reply in this topic will be ignored. Our CM and the Developers will eventually read every single post, no matter how many pages and how much spam there is. If you posted a sensible suggestion or constructive criticism in this topic, you can be sure that your post will not go unnoticed.

 

Well, in that case... Here I go.

For protections display, above every player should be the MODULE NAME. (like Needle or Zeus)

And there should be small icons displaying protections when a special key is pressed.

*(Only default protections should be shown, not the upgraded ones)

 

For XP/BP Players, there can be an empty module or a BP Module specially for XP/BP.

XP Module for Hornets, BP Module for Wasps (10% from Rail) So that XP/BP players can use their custom look in format battles which won't effect the gameplay.

 

New modules should be updated with some new paints too, or they can be purchased separately from the "Modules" tab in garage. Their price should be reduced too if they don't get a good paint/look with them. Coming up with an update of some awesome looking new paints and modules won't be a bad idea either.

 

Create a new topic for ideas for improvements for this update.

That's it for now, suggest changes to my ideas if you have any in the new topic.

 

Another Idea: All paints and their modules could be separate. BUT, cost of Module + Look should NOT be more than the cost of the same thing before this update.

 

Example: Zeus Look + Module shouldn't cost more than 250,000 crystals. The price of Module and Look should be divided according to the importance or equally. No one likes to pay extra for the same thing. As now the same thing costs 4 times more and 15% less protection.

 

I'm trying as much as possible not to change the game experience.
