Paint Separation Update

Ok, listen then.

1. This update completely ruins balance-Buyers already had an advantage and that's fine. But there were combos like Twins+Fire which people couldn't protect from. And now it's gone. Buyers have just became invincible.

2. XP/BP in the future is ruined. No more 10% rail paint, those who didn't buy Emerald, Corrosion or Forester in the past will have to play without protection.

3. Light Format (if you even know what it is) is ruined. The 46% Rail and the 48% Smoky paint made it right balanced. And guess what? It's gone.

4. The game is more complicated. If you tell me that you know how much protection do these players have here, I will give you a cookie. And adding an extra key is something that everyone wanted to avoid.

 

And I will make one for the money-orientated devs:

1. Non-buyers or those who spend less money on this game will quit Tanki as we stand no chance in normal battles from now on. My garage was really decent, full m3, all the good paints and MUs on everything. But it's all useless now.

2. Buyers will buy most of the modules. And then what? If all of them buys the modules, it's like none of them bought anything.

3. Buyers will stop buying as it's not needed anymore.

4. Buyers will quit Tanki as there will be nobody to defeat.

 

 

This update is the real Tankipocalypse.

Your points are good, just to remind you, those "buyers" will need to pay about 250k+MU cost for ONE module. That makes 750k-1mil. 50+ modules, am I right? Well...

Champion stays same, silver -2% (not fair imo), bronze 15% (is that even a paint? With all those new modules there is no point playing with "premium" module), acid 20% ( wow, isn't that quite unfair for silver?), star 15% (how to make it useless), helper 20% (no words. Ahem. I... should... start... working :o)

Good job, devs, but you forgot about that new tanki clan tournament paint (cobalt?), MOP paint, and sidlob's lord :ph34r: (I think, he already has 30% module, still worth mentioning). I may forget some paints too...

Hi everyone,

 

Quick update about what will be happening to the Champion, Silver, Bronze, Acid, Star and Helper Paints.

 

The current owners of these paints will be receiving Protection Modules as follows:

 

• Owners of the Champion Paint will receive a module with 25% resistances against all turrets and mines
• Owners of the Silver Paint will receive a module with 20% resistances against all turrets and mines
• Owners of the Bronze Paint will receive a module with 15% resistances against all turrets and mines
• Owners of the Acid Paint will receive a module with 20% resistances against all turrets and mines
• Owners of the Star Paint will receive a module with 15% resistances against all turrets and mines
• Owners of the Helper Paint will receive a module with 20% resistances against all turrets and mines

Important points to note:

 

Before the update, the Champion, Silver, Bronze, Acid and Helper paints were temporarily awarded to players who held a specific position or status in the game (e.g. eSports champion or Helper), and were removed from a player’s garage once that player no longer held that status or position.

 

The corresponding Protection Modules mentioned above will work in exactly the same way. Once the player’s special status is removed, the corresponding special Protection Module will also be removed from that player’s garage.

 

Over the next 24-48 hours, we’ll be going through the player database and assigning these special Protection Modules to current owners of these paints.

still didnt understand why paints like tiger , zeus, inferno cost so much ? if it's just for looks then u should have atleast told non buyers  1 week prior to this update and tell them that it's their last chance to get them -_-

i think the paints should be upgraded optionally, e.g. if your paint has ricochet and isida, you can choose which one you can upgrade, etc

How about my idea which went unseen, of paints having locked modules with them before they were purchased, same as before but the module and paint can be separated after a player purchases it? In that case, PRICE SHOULD REMAIN SAME!! And customization will also be possible!

That would depend on what the kit contains, whether it's a Paint Element, or a Protection Module.

Premium users should unlock the special premium look and module at the same time which could be indicated by the garage paint protection icon "PREMIUM" as (15% from all) above a player's nickname.

Agreed. The update can be changed. Only default paint protections should be shown, not upgraded ones. The less changes to gameplay style, the better it will be. :)

Pro players won't give a crystal for looks. They want protection. They want the things which work. Not show-off. I would personally use all heavy modules with Green paint itself. :P

Prior to this huge game changer; My strategy has always been paints!!!  :ph34r:

 

Now; not only can you NOT tell what your enemies are defending against; your prior paint purchases are deemed useless since you only need one to replicate the protection you desire after purchasing the correct protections.

 

I do however; like the tiered levels so hopefully they will in the future combine the paints back and keep the levels.

I do not like the idea to buy kit with new price of paints. I was waiting so long to buy Paladin. It was only 348K now it's 497K. This is not fair. Remove the paints from kits or make paints' cost like before the update!!!!
