Welp, to get buy Zeus and get it to full 50/50/50 you needed a total of around 1 million crys (250 000+749 890), while to get the same protection with an identical module (Badger T-G) you now need 1 150 000 crystals (250 000+900 000), which is a 15% price increase  :mellow:

 

I suddenly don't like this update anymore.

ok i understand part of this .. but they get the heads up about this stuff before we see it .. and they get to test it out in the test servers .. now seeing he is a mod most mods do there research on our postings so they can give the correct information this is and has been a big part of there jobs knowing the information on tanki.. now i can forgive him on this part due to not that many were complaining about it from day one .. and this could have slipped by the radar's // but over all i get where he is coming from same with others .. this update is and has been so confusing to most .. lets hope we get this resolved real soon ..

You see, mods arent supernatural beings created by devs to support them no matter what,

They are just humans like the most of you guys (I know for sure im no human :lol:)

 

You cant expect them to know every single thing there is in tanki, sure, they know more

But, infact they cant know everything there is, lets say, Maf here was handling all the pressure

You guys were putting on him, fine he is a mod but you can see he was relying on buried posts to answer,

But if devs had given any actual detail on him for it, he'd be quoting from skype or something, but as you can see, he was relyijh on buried posts.

Best setup to this is, a dev like hazel himself coming to answer, not a mod who, unlike mamy people think an expect, isnt a supernatural know-it-all just because they have an avatar

Hmmm I have an idea! Maybe listen to the community and reverse the update because it is bad and it will damage this bad game even more. Instead make something more logical and useful and fix the game.

 

Here is my SUPER MEGA solution. As a man (or boy) of logic, I must agree with the guy that said "Paints are just paints, paint your arm in blue and shoot yourself with a pistol. The paint won't stop it.". So why not just tie modules with paints while keeping paints the same price. For example, Zeus has the same protections, the only difference is that they are in modules. So let's say you are going to paint your car, the paint is cheap. So you can either buy only the paint or the accessories that come with it. Let's divide paints into basic and andvanced, basic paints can be green, red and etc., the advanced will be the more "bootyful" ones. The "basic" cost 1000 crystals and the "advanced" cost 5000. Even more logically, green and other simple paints can cost just 100 crystals. But if you want protections you can get them with such, so Zeus is 5K without its own, unique protection module and with it it costs 250K, seems reasonable to me. Same goes for other paints. TO can add a feature that is purchased with real money or is earned by missions. That feature is that you can add another module to your paint. So if you buy another protection module to your paint, you can replace the one that is unique to the paint. This can go two or more ways, sellable modules can be equipped to all paints or each paint has a selection of purchasable modules. People that use modules different from the one that comes with the paint will have some icon next to their name. 

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the paints will still unlock on the ranks that get them unlocked, there is no problem with that, once you reach the rank for Winter you can buy it for 1000 cry without prot or for 100+ K with prot.

 

Now for the premium paint, this one is easy lmao. Why not make it like Eternity, the protection % rises with ranks. Since I am too lazy to think at what rank and how the prot. increases, I will only give an example. At the "noob" ranks the paint has 5-8% prot., at the "less noob ranks" starting from WO5 it can have like hmm, 13-16% prot. and from the "pro" ranks, marshall or whatever, the premium paint is in its final state of 18% prot. like the helper paint, since both parties help the game in some way.

 

Another cool dude figured out something more useful than the R button, we all know its flaws, I don't need to repeat them. Just put the total % of protections against each turret somewhere next to the keys for drugs. In DM it displays the amount of all players except you and in other modes it displays that of the enemy team. Maybe if there is no player with protection against your turret instead of filling the bar just don't display anything. Users may toggle this feature on and off.

 

The final thing to rethink is the reward paints, also easy. Just keep them the way they were, nothing is wrong with them and the players deserved them. Oh and keep the 10% thing on ВР/ХР, I haven't seen anybody complain about that.

 

I really hope that TO reverse this update since it is so badly screwed up. And instead of working on pointless and useless updates that will only effect the gameplay in a negative way, work on removing or reducing the current issues (drugs, inbalance, phisycs, bugs and lag, and mults). I will speak in the devs' language, if you continue developing things that have negative impact, you will lose money. You see, people that buy also figured out your shady schemes and your inadequate ways of earning money. As for mults, AbsoluteZero has a good concept for a system that kicks out mults, but TO haven't implemented this for an unknown reason, I guess they want such behavior in their game lol.

 

I condemn you all to give your feedback on my idea and maybe add some improvements. Other guys also have good ideas, check them out.

Look what you've made of my favorite maps for DM. This is just now taken screen. In this tme, that map is full , mostly russian players, friends with each other, in this time play kolhoz.But now is empy, I do not know really for what reason do not play ??

Yet there was no sign of decreasing players on the graph. I'd assume they'd only take it down after it was clearly visible that numbers started decreasing, but that never happened.

They took down the polls at the same time. I think they just decided to take down the useless stuff from the homepage, being that the player counter and the polls were both close to useless.

Evidently you are not completely reading my posts to this thread. But I  will explain it to you one more time. Just a few years ago average peak players on the servers for Tanki online was over 100,000 players. With each silly update you have seen a steady decline in active players so that now the average peak players is in the mid 50,000 to low 60000 range. That to me means people are leaving the game. Yes daily graphs didn't change much on a day to day basis but over time there is an alarming trend of declining numbers of players taking place, and with this current heatedly disliked update it could possibly mean the end of the game. At the very least you will probably see another drop in average peak players. People who have spent so much time effort and money on the game are not going to put up with their efforts being devalued so drastically. You are now basically going to having to spend a lot more time effort and money to just stay competitive again, and especially with the ridiculous prices they are charging it is just going to far. This is an overly complicated and unwieldy update. Why couldn't they just let you see what protections and upgrades players have before entering a battle instead of being constantly distracted by having to hit "R"  during a battle to see it. Evidently it was too simple though it accomplished the same thing.   They said it would simplify and make it possible to pick what protections that you wanted. Not true,  we still have to pick from the combinations that the developers have chosen for us, and they made it even more complicated. Just give us the empty slots and let us fill them. Once again to simple.   They said said you can have the look you want. What they didn't say it would be ridiculously expensive.   This is a terrible and not well thought out update that is going to drive even more from the game. At what point will the losses of people make the game unsustainable? It will soon reach that point if trends continue.

4. The paint prices are to exepensive, My suggestion is just don't buy them.

 

5. It's much harder now to understand which turret to equip agaisnt you enemies.

 

6. The paint's name are incomprehensible.

 

7. In BP format battles wasp can be killed by one shoot.

 

8. The screen is messy and unclear when many players are present, (clikcing R).

 

If you have more annoying issues tell me and I will add to the list.

So basically every Triple module costs 1 150 000 to buy and fully upgrade, therefore any paint that could previously be bought and upgraded for less was cheaper before the update than it is now. Thanks devs for not mentioning this anywhere in the news. It's not like a 150k price increase matters much, right?  -_-

 

I had nothing against the paint price increase because that makes perfect sense - a fair way for devs to earn more crystals, and add more ways for buyers to get special items without affecting gameplay balance. But the increase of module MUs without even mentioning it anywhere - THAT's just not cool.

I don't like this update, why? It's simple to explain. Zeus had 3 protections before the update, and one of them had 50% protection against Firebird that means the maximum protection against a turret and it cost 250.000 crystals. NOW, after the update Zeus cost 500.000 WITHOUT protections, why? Because looks cool? Thats why? Before the update some paints had 4 protections like Raccoon or Lumberjack, why they didn't do moduls who contains 4 protections?... And the modul's price is very big, how can a Captain buy a modul with 100.000 when he needs to save crys for M2s ? At little ranks exists a kit named "Bulldog" i think, who costs 100k crystals because of Alien paint, how can a Warrant Officer 1 buy that?...This update needs to disappear. :angry:  :excl:

Bad update, as some of us spent 100k+ crystals on paints that are now worthless

Your arguement is in fact invalid.

You bought the paint for protections, Fine.

You now have both the paint and the protection module, which is the thing you paid for.

So, tell me what did you lose here, you have the protection which was paid for.

Second, its the way they like to play, drugs are a part of gameplay as much as turning the turret is,

And they'll come to learn while goimg on and on,

Who knows, some lazy people like me cant bother with turning turret xD

And still do get results.
