Paint Separation Update

Hey all,

Now that the onslaught of posts has somewhat slowed down, and I can sort of keep up, I'd like to address some concerns.

First of all, I understand that many of you are frustrated for a number of valid reasons. You're unhappy about the new prices; about the special paints and how their protections have been reworked; about how how the R key is too far away and how it's not practical to use when there are lots of tankers on screen or your opponent is too far away; about how the update has turned around the whole "strategy" mechanic; and lots of other things.

Guys, I get it. And it's taken me so long to reply because I've been trying to digest all of it, and that's a pretty big meal.

Now, let me explain the situation.

Together with the moderators team, we've been going through all of your comments and organizing them into a document, which is now in the hands of the developers. The document includes not only the things that you dislike, but also WHY you dislike them, and what you're suggesting we do to change them.

In short, we've presented your feedback in a way that is clear, logical, and easy to understand and digest. I believe that if we want change, this is the best way to achieve it.

Of course, I am not in a position to promise you that all of your requests will be fulfilled. But I promise you that I'll do my best to achieve a balance that works well for everyone. I trust I have your support in this matter.

Cedric, I have an idea for visualization.

Instead of numbers: create a thick colored underline beneath the supply icons on enemy tanks. Or just color code the new shield icon although I think this is confusing with the DA power up. Color the line as follows - or something analogous to:

Green or nothing - no protection

Yellow - some protection up to 20%

Orange- 21%-35%

Red- 35%-50+%

IMO this balances the concerns of those who don't want their exact numbers shown, and the concerns over the cluttered display. What do you think?

That isn't even relevant to my post. I asked why you release updates that aren't needed/liked by many?

Because:

1) We have to

2) Forum majority is game minority

Fingers crossed. You have our trust ( I hope i speak for at least 70% of the players).

Also, maybe you can look into this method Cedric, maybe add to the document.

This one. I support it, its just the sort of thing the devs wouldve thought of in a few days.

Tanki is going bankrupt vry soon.

440k for inferno, 370 for emerald 500k for tiger, 500 k for ues, and the 300k for jaguar, Tanki has ruined the game. Worse than that

A SUPPLY WHICH DROPS GOLD BOX, AND IT ISN'T EVEN NEAR 1ST APRIL, so clearly tanki isnt joking, I didnt see crossed fingers either. I wish you luck Tanki, for the hell which awaits you .

also they gave staff and clans there % back so there is no excuse not to give it back along with a bonuses for inconveniences ..

mate, no matter that I disagree with some things in this update, such as new high prices of paints and the R button which I don't find as a good solution. Yet let's be realistic, players who have gained special paints such as: Acid, Champion, Silver, Bronze, Star they deserve a special module after all. However, they did injustice to the players who had Veteran paint.

#idea

Well, I have a good one for the idea for displaying protection.

For Fire, it can be a fire/flame sign.

For Freeze, a Frost/snowflake Sign.

For Isida, it can be a small icon of the Isida's Neutral Spark (which looks like milk, lol)

For Hammer, it can be many visible-enough and big enough black dents as an icon.

For Twins, it can be a GREEN twins plasma ball.

For Rico it can be a ORANGE rico projectile.

For Smoky, it can be a small CRITICAL smoky hit icon.

For Vulcan, it can be the sign of machinegun bullets.

For Thunder, it can be that "Z" sign indicating electricity hazard.

For Railgun, it can be a golden beam or Railgun Impact Icon

For Shaft, it can be the usual sniper aim icon.

*How about we display the Module Name above the nickname too? Like "Needle" or "Zeus"? Most players do remember names of paints... So they can instantly remember the protections with those paints as well!

Any suggestions or changes will be good...

I love this idea. Can't promise programmers will want to implement it, but I personally really like it.

1. It is not easy for many people to use that modules.

2. Many paints have become more expensive without protections.

1. We'll be dealing with that issue soon. Devs already on it

2. We'll be addressing that soon.

so when you said you send it to the Dev's well i knew then that our complaints would fall on death ears cause we know from past experiences not much has or will be done to satisfy the players .. sure they will tweak some of it to look good but really the prices will stay and the players who are getting Robbed due to buying the premium pass  wont get it back...it  was removed ( the 15% ) they paid for the full package and should receive it in full they can do it they did it when the multi pro passes were closed they gave it a certain length of time then removed them ..

also they gave staff and clans there % back so there is no excuse not to give it back along with a bonuses for inconveniences ..

now with that all said you can understand i have very little faith in the Dev's .. sorry but no sugar for this lady...

You know me better than that. You know I get things done around here, and I don't sugar-coat things. As I said, I can't promise all of the player requests will be fulfilled, but I'm doing my best to build a solid case for the community.  :)

Fingers crossed. You have our trust ( I hope i speak for at least 70% of the players).

Thanks. Needed to hear that.  :)

That makes no sense whatsoever. But for new players this is the best time to start the game thanks to all the cool features which have been added in the past few years. And the last one makes it a lot easier to get the hang of the protections system, which was really weird and hard to remember previously.

r u serious?

how would u have "the hang of protection systems" if u now have 100+ modules to remember and use??..

i don't talk about enemys cover..I talk about what should I use in battle, what would suit best for ME!!!..u really think that everyone will know their protections with both leacy+new modules?..if I was choosing paint to protect me by now (before this crap update) i didn't even need to watch the name (btw, how the hell u people think we will remember them (putting names together + protection level & protection against certain weapons)????? i picked them when i saw them,i knew their protections..

devs forgot about that part i think..ok,maybe those number which show protection on enemy are kind of solution, but pressing R to see stupid symbols which will not show me anything is absurd..because

                                                      a) enemy wont stand still waiting for me to see what is he "wearing"

b ) in agressive style games like poly CP nobody can see all protections,I bet my acc on that

so,devs are trying to make us remember all (120+ if i'm not wrong) modules (names) and their protections, because only if i know that,i know what to wear against enemy, don't ignore that,it's pure fact

what's the point of changing equipment if i don't know what to use..

Hi all,

On pressing "R" in team games (TDM, CF, CP), resistance percentage of all players are shown.

I believe it is distracting to see my team resistance, since it doesn't add a value, as they are invulnerable to my weapon.

It is fine to know their module details, but no need to show the percentage number against my weapon.

Thanks.
