Paint Separation Update

Nowhere does it say that part of the Premium account's cost is for the 15% in the paint. You don't get a receipt listing the prices of each individual item on the Premium account's list, so there is no reason to assume that the 15% protection was included in the cost.

 

 

It would be a whole different story if you got a list of items looking something like this:

• 100% extra crystals - $10
• 50% extra EXP - $5
• Ability to purchase XT items - $5
• PRO battles pass - $3
• Fancy rank icon - $2
• Unique paint - $3
• 15% protection - $2

Total = $30

 

If this was the case, then of course you could argue and rage about the 15% being removed without the $30 price tag being reduced by $2, and you would be totally correct. But that's not the case, therefore this argument is invalid

 But I hold to my question, Why did they add it in the first place only for it to be removed?

And I hold to my answer. The reason they added it is because if the paint had no protections in the first place, it would be useless and no Premium players would want to use it. There would be complaints saying "why did I pay for this rubbish paint that has no protections? If I use it I will be cannon fodder in every normal battle! It's useless!", so developers had to give it some generic protection to make it possible to use. They decided to go with a mediocre 15%, so that the paint would become an average protection that can be used by lazy players, who can't be bothered to change their paint for every occasion. As someone described it - "Jack of all trades, master of none".

Some will leave but it doesn't make much difference at this point I suppose. They really shot themselves in the foot with this update but I'm done going round and round about it, our opinions mean nothing, it's all up to the people who don't play the game at all (game developers)

 

Anyone who spends money is of no more use than a stick lying in my backyard, we have to be equal to those who ride on our backs (free players)

 

I'm done posting here, and unless someone see's me getting my last 17.5k EXP , I'm done entirely.

 i do get the impression that you are not a fond of premium accounts ..Iam not a fan either but what i"am more up in arms is how it was removed with out giving these players who paid for it notices that it was being removed and some just bought with in a few hours of it going.. so they all were in shock.. in the past yes i did buy it .. but it was only a few times with my crystals bonus packages ...

 

now also i feel there is  another part you not a fan of it is because mods and staff have 20% protection and you feel players should not have close to what mods get when mods work for there bonuses ..well in a way players who are buyers also work hard in the real world and can or feel they deserve to treat them self's to a gift either in the game or in real life its there money and have the rights to do with it as they please...

I'm OK with Premium and I think that they were added in a very fair way, In fact, I actually think that they don't have enough special features at the moment, for example there should be more cosmetic items, more unique content (perhaps premium-only battle options) and, like I mentioned in a previous post, I think all XT equipment should be available to use as long as a player has premium.

 

I do agree with you that there should have been a notice about this long before the update, but unfortunately that's not how Tanki developers do things. Their plans seem to change quite rapidly, so it's possible that they decided to remove the 15% hours before the update and couldn't possibly give longer notice. Although I doubt that was the case.

 

No, I don't think that players shouldn't have the same protection as the rewards that mods get, but a lot of players do think it's unfair and I understand them.

 

I understand you cant keep everyone happy but tanki is upsetting those players that put money into the game every month, Where else do tanki get an income from to keep the game afloat? Im curious

Removing 15% protection shouldn't affect buyers so much that they stop buying premium. Especially considering that there will be a replacement bonus for it, as I mentioned before. Most Premium players already have a ton of paints in their garage and never really used the premium paint anyway. I'm sure a lot of them are happy now because they can use the paint while combining it with some of their more powerful modules.

im trying to understand how you folk cant see Maf's point,

They added the protection to the prem paint in first place so prems would have a general reason

To go in battle with thw paint, not to get physically and emotionally rekt in battles because of 0% prot,

 

But now that you can put whichever module you want on them, And modules arent bound to paints as formerly,

The reason no longer remains, as you can mount any module you want on it, giving it actually a use on the higher ranks,

Cuz 15% is, to be honest, pure trash in a full scale gizmo fight.

 

As of another fact, wasnt it already enough of an advantage for prems?

Prems get more crystals already, and on the lower ranks, totally there was no need to buy paints,

So you could totally focus on hulls and turrets till 15% is outdated,

 

So, f2p players have harder time getting crys, and also have to save up to get paints here and there,

But prems get more crys and ALSO have the advantage of not needing a paint for a while.

 

As someone who doesnt support either the dev side or angry raging folk, i say it was done for the better.

Stop and check the links I provided. You'll see that on the same day of the release (1 day before actually) Hazel stated that the paint will be removed when this update roles out.

...and a lot of people UNhappy. Remember when premium was added? We had hundreds of players raging in the exact same way, saying things like "15% protection is extremely OP at low ranks" and "Premium paint gives 15% protection to players who simply pay, which is unfair to those who earned their protections in other special paints like Helper, Acid, Silver, etc."

 

Those people are now satisfied because the paint's protection got removed and instead we have people like you complaining about the change. You see the problem here? It's impossible to make everyone happy - no matter how developers change something, there will always be people to complain about it. This update benefits more people that it disappoints, so you are the minority. You will get another bonus to replace the paint's protection, but the 15% is not coming back. What can I say? Deal with it.

And no, I don't remember when it was added because I didn't play 8 months ago. Don't make assumptions. Tanki sold me something that included protection. You keep making the argument that premium players complained that they couldn't use the paint because it didn't have protection. So what? Why didn't you get rid of the paint instead of adding protection? That's not here or there because that decision was made in the past and there's not send arguing over what happened 8 months ago.

 

What you just did was insult someone that has put a reasonable amount of money into this game across multiple accounts because I enjoyed the game and thought that it was fair for me to put some money into it. Now you are so callous to tell me to deal with it. What a childish slap in the face that was. Thanks Mafioso for showing me and other premium tankers how little the you and the devs actually care about the people helping to keep you in business.

 

And let's not forget how awful the lag is. I would love to talk about that but you'll be quick to tell me it's someone else's problem. My friend, you ask us to be all nice and polite. But then you go doing this, repeating the exact same thing over and over and over. Which is completely pointless and is adding nothing to the argument, which is over. Hazel said himself that the paint will be removed when this update is rolled out, and the announcement on the homepage didn't say that the paint will always have protection, it only said that you will have the paint when you have premium, that's it. Now, please, stop the discussion as it's going nowhere.

I dont play, but i keep in contact and check everything around,

The full prem clans are simply dummies, I should put their existence to question,

Players play the game to have fun, being forced to do something is out of the quesrion,

If people are to force you something, just "ignore" them and pass by,

No need to be in a clan that forces you to stuff.

Dude, there are some terms you have "agreed" to while registering, it might have been like me,

Maybe you just did press "accept" and not read a bit of the long long boring stuff, just like i did,

 

But, there is a fact that in those terms, the devs can change anything they want, to the way they seem fit.

And you cant put that to question, its their project, which we call it a game, and their decisions go.

Not the individuals being me or you.

 

They decided to add the prots, yep

And now they decided to remove them, even overnight,

Its their way of doing it, so, get along.
