Centering your turret is unnecessary (unless you're some kind of OCD maniac), so I'd much rather have the tank stats display button moved to C instead, because the V key is pretty much just as hard to reach as R.

At what point do you think it would be wise to roll back some of the more unwise updates, when the game can no longer break 40,000 or 30,000 players?

They'll never roll them back - too many players have spent money now. I'm just hoping they act on the feedback. The v-log episode didn't divulge much did it. The only speculation to be had was if the R key was getting a toggle switch action or not. I thought we had people in our corner fighting for us?

 

Watch this space. This topic will probably get closed without any firm guarantees of concessions or fixes that bore any relation to our feedback.

Then you are one of the few that use it. Most players(that I know) never use C, because it's unnecessary, you can just use the Z and X keys to move it.

Well, I use it to center turret when there's no need for looking sideways. I won't waste time by press Z or X and center it in a heat of a battle.  :rolleyes:

It's not wasting time, if you have your fingers permanently above Z&X, what a lot of players have.  And I almost never have my turret exactly centered, I turn it the whole time.

I usually have my turret pointed sideways when in a map like Rio camping at base with flag. I just keep looking toward enemy base, and drive back and forth.

Okay, fine. Still, the majority of the players that turn turret, rarely use C, there is no need for the turret to be exactly centered. At least, this is true for most of the players that I know and players that I met in battle. Maybe it's different in low(er) ranks. No offense

Why are you guys so eager to change the C key? It has a function already and some people use it. It's way more comfortable when I click once and the turret goes back, instead of having to hold the X and Z keys until goes back close to the center (and then my OCD kicks in)

The V buttom is much better, I'm playing with two hands (each hand five fingers).

 

Hand one:

 

Three fingers on the arrows.

 

Hand two:

 

Two fingers on Z and X.

 

One finger on the back space (fire). The same finger is also on the V buttom.

You're easily pleased if you consider that a victory.  200 pages and all we get is a hotkey change. They say they listen and that's because it's impossible not to. Nobody says they have to act on any feedback. They act when they want to and because they want to, not because we want them to. They have too much past form and their behaviour pattern is not changing. Argue with me if you like but only actions can prove me wrong.

 

The pattern goes something like this

• They'll purposefully overprice things knowing full well that we will complain
• Buyers still buy them at their hugely inflated release prices
• Then they lower prices when the graphs and reports say it's time to do so, maximising $$$, but pretending to act in our interests.

Same goes for tweaking hulls or turrets

• Make them overpowered initially
• Buyers buy them
• Other players complain
• When the front-line buyers dry up, nerf the items saying something like, "we monitored the situation closely and listened to your feedback..."
• The front-line buyers complain they just wasted 500k crystals on item and the mods say #eula - in your faces suckers!

As I say, tanki has too much past form so none of this should come as a surprise to us anymore. It's a system that has worked so well for them over the years.

 

At least we have a scrollbar in the shop.

Some. You say that right. Some. Both the V and the R key aren't good for me, C is and would be logical, since it's very close to Z and X. Also, the C key is rarely used. And if they can make such a big change in the way paints work, they can remove/change the ability to center the turret with pressing 1 key too.

Whatever key it is, it doesn't warrant pages and pages of discussion. They won't replace C.

The likeliest option they might eventually get around to is the toggle idea once they've figured out how to do it. 

 

But those of you who want to swap the C and the R can remap the keys easily if you're running windows.

Actualy, i use it in every game +  i can play both ways -

(Preferable) With WASD & <>?

With Arrows & ZXC

 

Simply it would make more problems, As i and many other people have long fingers, i need to crunch them up in one spotto use "c", while "V" is a bit more far away - Easier to use

I play tanki with just 1 hand most of the time lol,

Managing TAB, spacebar, WASD, ZXC, and now R/V added to it ehich i randomly would press when i feel like any of those and it never got any hard at all lol, I usually get on top 3 of scoreboard while playing with 1 hand and doing sth else with the other hand xD

Actually, I do. I don't understand why anybody would use C. the time to go with your finger from z/x to C is pretty much the same as just holding z/x for a very short time.

How do I make the stats permanently displayed without pressing R all the time?

I tried it a couple times - it's somehow possible to do by pressing V or R with the Alt key. Although I tried different combinations using both Alt keys and they didn't work, but then it got stuck when I started spamming the keys :blink:
