Paint Separation Update

From what I understand, this game is an LLC and they basically blocked themselves from any kind of legal issues related to changes to in-game items. They say that they reserve the right to do whatever they want with the game and the items you have on your account. Heck, they even say that your whole account belongs to them and you are just "borrowing" it when you play, so they could just delete your whole account after you buy $10000 worth of crystals and they would get away with it.

Obviously that kind of thing won't happen, but something as trivial as removing protection from a paint is by no means a violation of the user's right that's worth ranting about.

I didn't say that it is against EULA. I said it is a robbery and that;s what it is. If law supports them, then the law is made for robbers, not people. But that's a completely different story.

Okay, so first things first, there are WAY too many people calling tanki money suckers. Not true, for the simple fact of: If you don't buy, they have no access to your money (I hope). Secondly, if you do buy, you're a fool, but you choose how much you buy, so there's no sucking of money there. Thirdly, if you're talking about money as in game currency, I.E. crystals, they are actually saving you money.

Play for free. Pay to win, and it's getting pay to have fun. :p

It's not a robbery because everyone agrees to their terms and conditions when they create an account. If you buy a house and the documents you sign state that the previous owner is free to enter your home and remove whatever items he wants (like your belongings), then when it actually happens it's not a "robbery" because you agreed to let that happen.

By this it looks like if we dont read every letter carefully when making account, they can "Legaly steal"

It's not the best way to do business though. I guess you will all find that out soon enough. That's what you wanted isn't it ?

If TO listened to people like AbsoluteZero the game would be in a much better state. I may not agree with him on some stuff but overall he is a smart and rational player. Go check out his ideas before flooding :D I agree that we have to protest but at least do it more subtly. AZ actually reasons his concepts and most of them are good, guess why TO don't implement them? Ding ding ding, ez money!

Talking about the law, well, here are my thoughts. When you steal from someone/government/companies, it's called theft. When the government or big companies steal from you, it's called 'business'.

Where did I have to put my signature?

Yes. Everybody agreed on the terms and conditions. But come on, if you bought premium and then the 15% protection gets removed.. that might feel for some as a robbery. I understand that. I wouldn't be happy either if I bought premium.

Well, imo they shouldn't have created premium accounts at all anyway

That's true. Though it usually doesn't happen like that but I heard of some cases where dodgy companies would slip something like that into their terms and conditions and legally steal from their customers, who sign the terms without reading them properly.

Be careful not to sell your soul to the devil by carelessly signing some papers!  ;)

Tanki devs have better things to do than to listen to noobs like him, for example drink vodka and think of pointless updates.

Yes yes. We all agreed that we could be shafted when we joined but that doesn't make it any less wrong when it happens does it? Stooping to the eula means you have nothing of value to say which is telling.

It's somewhat wrong that developers didn't give a longer notice prior to the update, but on the other hand removal of the 15% is not that big of a deal, so it's not something that requires huge prior announcements and refunds.

I think it is a bit unfair to the Premium players. No matter what, they pay real money. Why take away the 15% protections? You may not give the protection to the 3hr Premium from daily mission award but at least keep it for those paid accounts. If you think it is giving too much to players, just simply remove the 3hr Premium account from the daily mission award.

P.S. I don't buy Premium account; I just feel sorry for those who pay for it. They should deserve to have some protections for paying real money.

For whom? I doubt that many real buyers with premium acc even use the paint at all, because they probably have a ton of full MU top-level paints with much better protection which they use instead. I'd say over 80% of players complaining about 15% being removed are ones who get premium for free - from missions, as compensation or after a month's absence.

Too true, too true.
