Hey all,

 

Let me just clarify a few things about the Gold Box supply.

 

1. It will be bought from the shop (for real money - price still to be determined), NOT from the garage.
2. If you do not wish to buy a Gold Box for real money from the shop, you can wait for one of the rare missions that will reward you with a Gold Box.
3. It does not make sense to BUY a Gold Box just to get the crystals, because in that case, you might as well just buy crystals.
4. This is purely optional content — it is your choice whether you want to buy it, and it will not affect your gameplay at all if you don't buy it.

 

bro this sucks why real money. Wouldn't it be better to just buy it from your garage for like for 1000 or whatever the amount could be? This would make battles between friends more fun. You would be able to challenge a friend to gold box battle or invite friends to gold box party were everyone drops a gold box. If you agree please like this comment. :D ;)

1. The V-LOG is not misleading. The Gold Box:
   • is a new supply
   • can be bought in the shop, or acquired via a rare mission
2. I confirm. Not buying the Gold Box will NOT affect your gameplay. You can still fight in battles without buying a Gold Box, and your enemies will not have an advantage over you if they buy a Gold Box and you don't. You DO have the choice whether to buy it or not. You can buy it for real money, or you can wait for a rare mission and get it then. Or you can choose not to bother at all. Those are all choices. And quite frankly, I don't think a 9-year-old should be impressing "ladieezzz" with a Gold Box. A 9-year-old should be focused on studying and getting through school with as few distractions as possible.
3. Yes, it is optional content. You choose to use it or you choose to not use it. As for disabling the floor markings, those who feel it puts them at a disadvantage when they disable them, should not disable them in the first place. Common sense. Also, you should bear in mind that when you create a battle disabling floor markings, they are disabled for everyone, not just for you. So, quite the opposite of what you're saying, the playing field is indeed leveled out.  :)

 

1. well, i do agree u said shop. but the very essence of the word shop for us was the garage. (and if u dont believe me that majority thought of garage, cast an in-game vote) tho i will accept ur explanation :P

2. the ladiezz thing was just one of the many reasons the gold box shouldnt be bought with real money. but i do agree that 9-yr-olds should focus on studying. but this also means a percentage of ur 9-yr-old capita should stop wasting time on tanki? (tho again, i accept ur rebuttal)

3. EXACTLY MY POINT. you see... you have avoided the criticisms by ADDING the option. BECAUSE everyone will tend to use the option that benefits them... rendering the other option useless. Which means: the opposite option is basically non-existent anymore. Therefore... U have successfully added a bad/unnecessary update without further controversy. (i do hope you get my point on this one)

 

i give u my utmost respect for having given such meaningful replies. i was expecting something a little more bleak

GOLDY BRINGS TERROR- SOLUTION

Hello, and yes I am back, showing you a new mistake with the gold box. Last time the mistake I found, was not a mistake that big, but this one is:

Did you ever have one of those problems where you are trying to activate a drug, suppose a mine, but instead activate Speed Boost? This may be a common issue, but no one bothers, because mines, DDs, DAs, SBs are all cheap. But... suppose I got the gold box supply by doing a mission. Now I am in battle, and just as someone is following me, I deploy the mine... later on continuous screams are heard from me. Why? Because just like the other issues where sometimes we mistakenly deploy the wrong supply, we could also deploy the gold box by mistake. 6 key is pretty close to 5, actually just beside. Who even looks at the key board when playing!? This problem can ruin lives... like literally. Tanki Online should solve this problem somehow. 

 

Here is my thought on how to solve this:

Solution 1: "Double/Triple Clicking"--

How is this supposed to help? Well, we wouldn't intentionally click on the same key unless we need to ,right? If I was to deploy a mine, and mistakenly click the 6 key, there wouldn't be much prob, and I would realize that I clicked the wrong key. When I would drop the gold box, I would just click the gold box key twice or thrice. This technique will work because we would realize that we clicked the wrong key if any other supply did not activate. 

 

Solution 2: "Click Combination"--

This solution is absolutely the strongest, but trickiest. The trick to dropping the gold box if this technique is used is to use a certain key combination. Let us take the key combination -6-9-6-8-. All of the keys are not beside each other and therefore is absolutely the strongest. The only problem is that, since children also play Tanki Online, they may forget the combination.

Im no longer interested in this game, the updates are consecutively stagmenting the game beyond a point where it is no longer interesting. The new GM bores me (Yes i said it, seymon was way better) and the players aren't being listened to like before. I will be passing my account to someone else and i will no longer be investing any more of my cash into the game (and before it is too late to turn back i would avise other smart players to do the same before they regret wasting their cash too). I wish it was 2012 again but unfortunately its not. There are way better games where i can invest smaller amounts of cash for a higher yield of investment. This game has become a rip off and its clear that there is a divide between russian players and the international community and this hasn't been resolved either. I will still be active on the english forum but i will no longer be playing the game as i used to any longer nor posting as much. I expected the game to reach new heights by 2016-17 and be more fun to play with but clearly with each update it just makes you wonder as a player why you would continue playing in the first place. This game purely cares only about revenue and unfortunately i cannot be part of that sort of community. I have seen other games which used the same strategy and they are no longer in business. I hate the fact that my time on the game has had to end this way but i expect many others to follow after this point. Until the game convinces me that it is worth playing i wont have any part. Congratulations on losing another player alternava platform because you also wont be recieving another penny from me. The fact that many players like myself are making it clear that there is a problem with the game means there needs to be room for improvement, and not just further development on the original game features that made the game fun to play. It was fun talking to and playing with all the players i've met throughout 2012 until now.

I have the impression that it's the older, more experienced players leaving. I still find it fun to play with my older low-level accounts (like this one) because there always seem to be noobs around who falsely invest their pocket money and end up with an expensive and inferior tank. I watch druggers pass me by (who will end up with too many XPs to match their crystal earnings) and keep having fun in the lower to middle ranks. With not much need for money to spend. I am in awe whenever people say they invested in this game, knowing that they funded just the kind of madness that allows me to have fun. I never understood how you'd want to play this game to the highest level, as there is always a ceiling effect that eliminates all the fun ...

 

Oh, and by the way ... of course I mean it the way I wrote it: every new update adds to the madness factor. Buying the right to drop a gold box with real money? Give me a break! But who am I to talk? I spend all of my own money inviting my girl out, anyway :D :wub: Seems like a sensible thing to do ;)

As in everything in life, balance and sensibility should be the measures by which everything is done. If you enjoy something, invest in it, but not to the detriment of everything else.

 

I love music. I've spent thousands of dollars on musical gear and guitars. But now that I'm maintaining a family, I can't just go and splurge $10k on my dream guitar. In time maybe I will, but definitely not now.

 

There's also the issue of time. Invest time in games you enjoy, but not to the detriment of your personal life and school.
