Since the update of the protection moudle paints got the protection removed, paints dont do anything now they are just for looks,Are the sirously completle useless now? they dont do anything beside looks.

i like the green color anyways :( and they costs tons of crystals that we can spend on micro upgrades or turrets and hulls.

Paints are for looks, as they are supposed to be. I'd say that around 90% of online games nowadays have purchasable visual customisations for your character, which have zero effect on gameplay and simply make you stand out or make your character look the way you like. There is no reason for Tanki not to have the same feature.

Besides, paints are still NOT useless. Some of them are very effective for camouflage, so if you buy certain gray/green/white/yellow paints, you'll be able to effectively blend in with the environment on certain maps so that you will be harder to notice and therefore people will shoot you less often.

Paints are great and all.. but with the introduction of modules, they imo have lost a lot of value. I liked it better when people would debate over buying a paint or a weapon... I would always try to save up for Lumberjack.. and right before I could buy it, the update was put in to place. Now paints have no protection. Modules are cool, and useful too, but paints just aren't as valuable anymore, apart from looks/design.

I want a paint that's black with white skull-and-crossbones, call it "Death".

Also I think it'd be cool to have a paint called "Chameleon", that when you wear it, it makes you blend in with the background.

My view on paints according to modifications.

For M1, M2 and M3 modifications paints don't cover the turrets and hulls completely like they do with M0 modification.

That is a huge problem for players because paints no longer provide the proper look and appearance for turrets and hulls.

As you can clearly see in the image above, the orange paint does not cover the turret and hull of the tank completely. Micro upgrade levels such as M1, M2 and M3 must be covered with the paint. No grey areas must be exposed.

I hope that the developers will make an update to change this. I hate having my paints not covering my tank in full.

In the case you forgot: Paint Cover <_<

I did not forget my old topic on "Paint Cover", as this topic here is just a reminder of the annoyance of paints not fully covering M1, M2 and M3 modifications.

Paint Cover: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=321379

By the way, my "Paint Cover" article has been closed and ignored. I want developers to fully pay attention and make the suggested change I want for modifications for the way paints are displayed.

I want the developers to review this post and my old one and suggest that paints must completely cover all turrets and hulls.

...

No, because people would not be able to tell the difference between modifications. Paints that look beautiful on M3s and M3s look terrible and cheesy on M0s. It would mean all high-rank battles would look terrible.

That's not true. Paints look better on M0 equipment. For M1, M2 and M3 modifications the gray metal plates must be covered up with the paint, but it must have an embossed look to make it stand out so that players can still see the difference between modification levels.

I hope not. XT's would lose their beautiful look if you cover them completely.

I know. I am not talking about covering up XTs completely, but normal turrets and hulls must be completely covered up to make the paint have its full effect look on them for better physical look.

PAINTS NEED TO BE CHEAPER OR NOBODY WILL BUY THEM! WHATS THE POINT OF SPENDING 400K ON A PAINT THAT DOES NOTHING TO HELP YOU. THEY NEED TO BE MADE A LOT MORE CHEAPER!!

I love tanki online, I really do. The tanks handle perfectly and the garage and saving up for better turrets, hulls, kits or paints was perfectly balanced and was a lot of fun. I do say WAS because I think they are loosing it with some of the new 'features'. I cannot image that it will stay this way because it is really crazy. For example: the 'jaguar' paint used to cost 23.000 crystals. You would get a nice looking paint with protection for firebird, freeze and a littly bit against thunder. And now? Now you can by the jaguar paint for a whopping 300.000 crystals!!! And it gives you nada protection. I think the developers have lost their mind. And in the V-log they say that a nice paint is like a rolex: you pay just for the looks :-((

Some paints, like loam foir example, cost around 9000. Now ok, maybe thats a price for getting uhh nothing which just looks nice, but 200.000-400.000? Seriously???

Then there is the fact that paints are part of a kit. For most people, (expensive) paints you wouldn't by directly but you would get them in the kit and then with the discount it was pretty ok, pricewise. But now in the kit, you only get the paint and NOT the protection anymore (at least as far as I can see). This also renders the kits a bit useless. For example: I was saving up for the new Healer-kit. I would get the M3 hornet and M3 isida which are a good bargain in the kit, but now I also get the Irbis paint for an even more whoppping 400.000 crystals and it gives me no protection!?? Maybe I'm nog getting it: please can somebody explain this to me?

The price for each paint now depends on how it looks, cool paints are more expensive then normal camouflage paints that are plain boring. It's sad now every single kit is expensive now Becuase it has a good looking paint... :(

Everybody has their own opinions... Some people like paints on M0 or M1 or M2 or M3+.
