Custom Modules + mix the modules you own

Recommended Posts

it can be changed.

Too late to change anything. That's why they are making a new game.

They need to make every single combination and make a name for each of them, too much work, while they would do this, few good updates could be made

Why would they need to do that?

I was thinking of letting players create their own protection modules so that they wouldn't have to look for an exact combination through the heap of modules in the garage. This would also let players choose from a wider variety of protection modules, and it'll help clean up the "protection" tab in the garage.

I haven't thought of what the names of the protection modules created by players would be. And frankly, I don't think it matters anymore because the names of the new protection modules are so abstract, I don't think anyone memorizes them. Feel free to make any changes to the idea.

i've noticed that theres many modules that i cant get and it would be helpful for beginner to just upgrade and merge modules instead of saving up for months for the triple module

instead they buy some singles and can merge them together for a price (50,000$ per module)

side note not really wanted but could be useful

ability to unmerge modules (30,000$ per module)

If you are willing to pay this amount of $ only once, they will code it for you within a week ;)

I have a suggestion for the protection of why you do not optional to the player where he can choose three types of protection

Slightly off topic but I haven't seen my original post pop up anywhere, or be merged.  And seeing as this is modules.....

How about adding names to the existing modules instead of a1 b2, Grizzly you could change to say bear, and then have Grizzly, Polar, Cave, Black, Brown variations.  People might remember this a bit bit more, it also makes the modules a bit more interesting.  Snake, could by Taipan, Boa... anyway you get the idea.

Actually I dont need names for the modules at all.

If I select them before purchase, or if I equip them in garate, or if I check the V/R View in battle

>>> in each case I care only for the protections, like [Fire/Isida/Twins M3],

I would never even mind to remember those 50+ names. Seems pointless to me.

Paints need names, mobules dont.

See I "obviously" disagree, although I don't expect anyone to remember every module, you'll get to know the ones you use, and the ones you have to look out for on other tankers.  What do I remember most from combined paint/protection.... Emerald, corrosion, in love, dragon.. because they were ones I used, or had a morbid fear of having to play against.  At the moment, I can't associate the protection modules with anything.  Its just a mnemonic to associate protections with.  Some will use it, some won't...

You'd just call it, Custom, or Tanker X's Custom module :)

In the times of the legacy protections, the names were pretty usefull, as the protection % from differetn turrets inside a module were so much different. Thunder 45% + Rail 10% + whatever..

But as this % are now all the same in one M-Level I don't see the need.

Still, if you like it, you can like it, I respect that. I just don#t share this opinion that it is necessary :)

Say, instead of having an endless array of modules, say you can have five different slots of modules, each having no protection, but you can buy them, each costing 3,000 crystals so players can actually buy those before they rank up and have to save up to get the m1 of the remaining unpurchased modules.

You can then select one of the modules and a list composed of all the turrets will show and you can select up to 3 to have protection against. Freeze, Railgun and Vulcan for example. This would make getting the desired protection much easier.

Also, you can MU them for the normal price from 10% to 15% as normal and you can then buy the M1 for the module when you get to be the needed rank.

I feel this would be a lot easier to do, and would decrease garage loading time a little, since it'd be loading less items. Also, players will have the protection they want, because I can't. The example I presented is a module that doesn't yet exist that I wish I had.

I want a Rail, Freeze and Vulcan module...I hear of quad modules...f there is, then I'd want that same thing but just add Firebird onto it

In the times when paints and protections were merged together, there were paints that hosted 4 protections.

During the update that seperated paints from the protections (and introduced the modules) these former protectin sets have been transferred into "Legacy modules". If you check the profile of Legends, you can see those modules: http://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/2000mc/

check the prodigy-LGC module.. LGC="Legacy".

There are some true nice protections with 4 slots (each only 25%) which could be microupgraded to 50% each (like Africa LGC). Very usefull.. but they are not sold anymore.

The dev's stated that they do not plan to release any more 4 slot modules in the future.

I understand that custom modules can not be offered with the current item and shop logic.

I have an idea to get around it via the MU functionality; it may work

1qjsax.jpg

Example for a M3x3 protection module

In the garage I can buy a custom module that

-> hosts protections vs all Turrets at a level of 0% (it's empty).

After the player purchased that empty module, he can select the 3 desired protections in the microupgrade dialog. After the set those three, they are filled with 35% protection each.

After that, the microupgrade system will increase those 3 simultaniously with each MU step.

After I received a PM that my idea was merged to this topic I came in and read; and it seems Mango had almost the same idea before me. I haven't read your post before.. I dont usually read all posts. I was inspired to my idea a little later, as I read an answer of Mafioso somewhere, where he said custom modules can not be implemented... so I thought why.. found the answer (I guess so) and thought of a solution that I posted in the ideas section.

Anyways - if it get's done, it's officially you that thought of it first :)

I have a really good idea relating to this but doesn't deserve a new topic.

You can buy your own modules. So basically, you can buy different point modules and distribute the points to protections

For example:  10k cry for 20 point module. Then you have to distribute the points (percent protection) to different turrets. So if you want, you can get  a buff 20 against one turret, or you can spread it thin with 1 or 2 for every turret. This wouldn't affect the game balance a lot because there is a total amount of protection allowed. Higher price customs have more points to distribute.

So basically someone would click on "25 point Custom" in the module section, then they would click buy, and get a pop up window with the amount of points left and a column with each turret in it. There will be arrows to add or subtract points from each turret. When they finish selecting the protections, they click a button in the bottom that says buy, then they will get the usual confirm purchase window, then when they select yes, BOOM, they have a module dubbed:  (Their Nickname) CTM(for "custom") (Module number***)

***The module's order in the custom modules the owner has.

For example, if someone holds r while i am wearing my 5th custom module, they would see this: DeathByBoss CTM 5 and the protections it has. I believe this idea will take the pre-module tanki where paints allowed uneven protections, but include the module update's paints selection freedom, and make them even better.

Well, I agree with many people. Why cant you create your own module, rather than having to take a  pick out of ramdomly selected turret protections.

For the lower ranks, It s harder to part with a large sum of hard earned crystals for a protection module that may or may not have protection from the sort of turrets you are playing against.

Also, its easier to get a module you like and MU it if you know you will be playing against these turrets.

Error Out...

If I was a game creator I would like to add into the game a custom bullet color for turrets.

It would be really cool if you add another option to the turret menu called "Customize". Where you can change the color of your tanks bullet.

It should cost 1000 per change (crystals)

It would also be cool if you could customize the effects on the turret

PLZ add this into the game XD

:D
