xD thanks! My favorite is "Update Overview || Paint Separation Update"

Anyway, expect another episode of Rants today, #RantCompete means I win gg pls no argue anymore.

I'll also be starting a comic, basically a BUNCH of small screenshots arranged with some text.

E.g.

In a Poly CP where someone is pushing someone else (DM)

Railgun + Hornet guy: "Pls no push me"

Titan + Twins guy: "2 bad 4 u"

Railgun + Hornet guy: "I will get ravenge"

Titan + Twins guy: "n0 u wonT"

Railgun + Hornet guy: *360 no-scopes*

Titan + Twins guy: *cris*

Anyway, I'll be starting my comic series as soon as I got some helpers. PM me if you are interested in taking screenshots where I get to push YOU off the edge for my amusement where we create a comic for everyone who is fanboi of me to enjoy.

u released this yet

I would, but I'm busy with IRL stuff (spending time with family) and stuff I do in TO is mainly clan-based.

might release it if I ever find time. It's a big maybe.

this:

Hi Tweezers. Thanks for giving me back the text

Hello tankers, this is a (very late) review of Striker! Just so you know I'm not dead and so I can deliver my criticism on the new turret to Tanki. Hope you enjoy!

The facts

- Striker is a turret that was added in December 23rd.

- It shoots very slow rockets out of two turret-holes, just like Twins. Also alternates by shot.

This update may not bring a lot of new features, but it could potentially DRASTICALLY impact game balance.

Gameplay

Striker, in my opinion, functions mainly as a support turret. I'll be going over its characteristics instead of using numbers to rate it 8/8, since I dislike giving something that varies a constant number.

Enjoy.

DM

Striker does most of it's damage in scope mode. It is a heavy, unreliable damage dealer (more on that later), which means that it is unlikely to finish off the opponent it shoots at. If anything, it'll get killstealed like there's no end to the tanks that it'll weaken. Oh wait, there isn't a limit, since tanks respawn.

TDM

Three words: Best. Turret. Ever. Alright, maybe that's an exaggeration, as Thunder definitely is the best turret for TDM (no bias ok), but Striker is still decent. As a support/sniper, Striker might not get many kills but will make hordes easier to deal with for other tankers. A hearty +1 to you, Striker.

CTF

Depending on the map, Striker can be a useful sniper. Striker should ideally be played as midfield or defense for CTF. However, Striker isn't one of the most reliable turrets, so I'd recommend using another turret.

CP

CP varies just as much as the Striker turret's uses, which means that Striker's usage will differ. For maps with less CP points, I recommend camping with Striker and sniping off enemies that are at the center, like you would do with Thunder. For maps with more CP points, just don't use it unless you are playing coordinated, either with a clan or with a good amount of friends.

Problems

These problems I list come from two sources -- either from my personal experience with or against it, or from other articles I read. So if this sounds a little bit biased, know that it probably is.

And let's get to them:

- It does TOO MUCH damage. Whenever it hits, it does a lot of damage. Too much for a two-second reload.

- Unreliable in general. Does not hit enough of the time. When a Striker user locks onto an opponent, often only one or two will hit. The others will cause splash damage.

- Way too much self damage. When Thunders are abusing Striker's splash damage, there's a HUGE problem. Thunders, probably the worst close range turret, will win head-first against a Striker.

- Virtually no vertical aim.

To summarize, the damage dealt is too much, it's aim is not reliable enough, it's self damage is over-the-top, and the vertical aim is awful. Even in scope.

Solutions

- Nerf its damage. Reduce it to about 80-90% of it's current damage.

- In scope mode, the rockets should always hit the target and avoid obstacles, given that the rockets are only travelling a certain distance (kind of like range). Or if that's too complicated reduce scope time.

- Increase (or create) vertical aim.

- Decrease self and splash damage.

Conclusion

Striker is too much of a wild card. Unpredictable. Luck is a huge element in this turret, and it can't keep up with Tanki's fast pace. Also very hard to incorporate into E-Sports. However, this turret has great potential!

Footnote (or whatever it's called): I'm leaving anyway, so why not? Also, for you humorless tweezers people out there, this is satire!1! Enjoy.

"Quit Tanki? But I spent so much time on my account!!! Look at my combo!"

Capture.png

I say to you, what can your combo do in real life? Impress your peers? Because, even though you're proud of those 30 minutes of grinding for ricochet M0, there'll always be that prick with M3 Thunder and that swaggy Emerald paint. Nobody likes that jerk, but those guys will always be there ;) And face it, getting an M1 is 2 hard 4 you :(

Which leads us to argument one...

Argument I: ur a nuub

Mate, just so you know, Ricochet M0 isn't all that impressive at Lieutenant Colonel. Ok? Because that explains your kill/death ratio. And you only have a few hundred crystals. You could start over again and grind your TEETH all the way to Ricochet M0 again, or you can just quit ;) Why not just stop repeating the cycle of getting those M0s? Because there will be Warrant Officers who actually have M1s, so all that'll happen to you is this:

BLASTER872 was destroyed by Hunter.Smoky.M0

Getting destroyed 198,273 times... wait, make that 198,274 times isn't healthy  for your tank.

Which leads us to argument two....

Argument II: hav merci on ur helth

Tanki's effect on your health is the effect a Firebird M3 has on a Wasp M0. However, a Wasp can run from the Firebird and use a Repair Kit ohmygosh drugger noob you can't use drugs noob drugs give 2 big advantage and live for another battle. Run from the Firebird of Tanki and use the Repair Kit of real life.

Currently, by leaving my fictional M0 Ricochet Hunter combo behind, I have gotten my life status to M3. Don't be the M0 in life and the M3 in Tanki, rather, be the M3 in life and the guy who doesn't play Tanki anymore ;)

Ever since I quit Tanki, here's what you'll find me doing if you catch me around:

boom.png

You saw nothing.

Oh, these hard to kill enemies destroying my poor Ricochet M0 Hunter M0 combo...!

Which leads us to argument three...

Argument 3: all my enemees hoo wudnt wish hoo eye wuz

First of all, if you didn't get that, you have no taste in music.

But seriously, you get so many enemies in Tanki Online!! Leaving them behind is a really good reason to leave, one of the reasons I left. These enemies are so annoying, I wish I could beat them at a round of XP/BP!

This is my enemies list... all in it are noobs!!!

Case in point.

I have... Wait, could I have a second to count? 2, 5, 3... 3 reasons to quit Tanki Online!
