Are DM Tournaments worth it?

I really don't think they are that worth it to spend 1000 crystals on. I mean, the top player might get somewhere around 2000 crystals. But how much are you profiting? 1000 crystals. I mean, you can be in other battles and earn a lot more without having to pay 1000 crystals. Do you think they should maybe increase the total fund by each player by like 50% or something?
What do you guys think?

I can tell you right now that i aint gonna enter a DM tournament ever cause i suck at DMs (to damn many Smokys going around stealing kills from my Railgun )

i have played three times and found that ..

 

first time i made my entry fee back and the other two times i lost crystals ..

 

 was it worth getting killed and having my Death rate drop .. nope not worthy of it..

 

most of these players have a higher exp then mine so i could never get a high amount of kills in a battle

 

I will stick to regular DM battles where i can be in top place and get good ratings

I think only 1 of my three tourney battles were profitable and in all but one I had .99, or under, D/L.

The problem for my rank is everybody with the jackhammer kit; even if I drug super hard I still get killed by them way more often than me killing them. The first round I tried I probably used 1,500 crystals in drugs just so I could gain 100 crystals at the end. In the second round it was basically the same but I didn't even gain crystals, I just wasted more drugs. Unless you have tons of drugs and a super OP kit for your rank, you shouldn't even bother.

DM Tournaments can't say anything about skills. The player with the highest rating is just the luckiest kill stealer. I think the rewards are fine as they are for the DM Tournaments in which you are not able to use supplies. If supplies can be used, the rewards must be increased a bit. I'm not playing DM Tournaments with the use of supplies turned on as it's not profitable. I waste way more crystals to the supplies used than I get as reward, even when being the luckiest kill stealer.

I honestly think that DM tournaments are lacking a huge aspect- an actual tournament. They are currently just a single DM game with an entry fee, and nothing else. The top 3 players should move on to a final battle against the top 3 players of the other rounds of the same rank. Yes, it would be more time consuming, but I don't see a problem with that.

okay 9/10 there are kill stealers but if i have good enought equipment, im killing strongest first and nly then killing weakest who has nowhere to run.

Btw, seriously, you do not wanna be killing strongest 1st. Kill the weaklings and anybody else who comes in your way. Would you wanna be wasting time killing good opponents? No, just kill the weakest. And if you think you can take out the strongest and then focus on the weaker ones, you do know that they respawn, right? They will just keep on coming back and wasting your time. Not how to come 1st and stay there.

I've not played. I saw one score board in another thread. In that battle, the top six made their entry fee back and then some, the rest lost crystals. Of those who won, only the top two or three did well enough to risk the gamble, the rest could have done as well in a regular DM.

This is the new norm for tanki online. Everyone is armed to the teeth with drugs and the devs encourage it.

Oh that's good. I thought it was random because I tried it for the first time with general acc yesterday and then today and prices were different. Got me confused :D

Although this does mean that the fund will be almost 50% lower now.

Yes, i do tournaments from mult account (wo3), i need to pay around 200crystals, but in i get like 8x more (around 1500 - 1700)
