I think that if the system would count the bought gold boxes in the rating so the top 100 gold boxes caught section would be just full with buyers..

The player's position in the Gold rating gives them no advantage whatsoever, other than maybe a little bit of recognition from others. For a week... Until there are no rewards for being on top of the ratings list, players are free to buy their way to the top of it as much as they want and there is no reason to stop them.

I really think that the gold box craze will die down really fast, like it did with gifts. A few weeks from now even the most hardcore buyers will probably drop golds only on special occasions and definitely won't drop them by the hundreds in private battles just to get on top of the gold box ratings list.

Yeah, the gold still falls randomly, and they still have to work hard to get it.
