This would be a great feature and would help promote friendship especially since we now can't send gifts to anyone but friends.  The left-click menu could have a "like" function.  You pick a player from the tab-list and click his name.  A notification is posted on screen in the chat area and the recipient gets a like that could be tabulated and tracked on his profile page.

No rewards, but it might help promote the social aspect of Tanki that MM has completely taken away.  There are no new friends any more and no way to make them.

In chat rooms, i find a lot of nice and helpful users.

During battles, i find a lot of players with awesome tactics and impressive gameplays.

 

How about a Like or an Upvote option for players ?

This can be also be turned into a reward after such likes/upvote reach a certain number.

Why don't we have this?  The reward part is not a good idea though.  it should just be a like.  Put the number of like received and given on the profile page.

I hope Tanki does this.  I think we should take it one step further and make a like and dislike.  Show the statistics on the profile page, but no rewards for either since that would just cause stuffing the ballot box.

As for the chat, that's all goodwill of the player. You can always send a message (publicly or privately) to someone that has contributed with something helpful. Just write "Thank you"

 

Although, I think when it comes to helping. Those players who are helping other players, they are doing that because they honestly love that. And they don't care for any credits. When I help someone, I do it because I love it. I do not expect even a little "thank you".

But the little number statistic would be nice.  It would be an ongoing statistic and it might even make some of the jerk players a little more nice.  I think a "like" function during every battle would really help the game a lot.

As mentioned in the title ,it could be great if you add this like alot of PVP games.

on the battle results page, add a like option next to the names of the players to appreciate the best players of your team.
